My car is older but has low milage, so I want to stay on top of things and feel that I can rely on Complete to prioritize what needs attention. Lisa (office mgr.), Rick and Ang (mechanics) are very friendly, and they know cars and don't give you fast or evasive talk which is very refreshing compared to many auto repair shops. I was on my way to visit my parents in Brookfield last Friday when I noticed that the engine temperature gauge on my dashboard was all the way in the 'H' position... meaning that my car was about to begin overheating. Eventually, I was able to make it to my parents, but was really worried about driving my car. My mom recommended that I call Complete Auto Service since she's had great experiences with them before and they're a family run business. So, I decided to call them to see if they might be able to take a look at it for me just to make sure that I could safely drive it home (where I could bring it to a shop for repairs). So, I called them about half an hour before they closed and they said to bring it on over. When I brought my car over, someone was already waiting for me and came right out to the parking lot to greet me (I believe his name was Rick). Then, after he had looked at my car for a minute, another mechanic came out and joined him. They looked my car over for about 15 minutes, tested it out, refilled my coolant, gave me advice on how to safely drive it home and told me to have a great weekend. When I asked them how much I owed them, they said that I didn't owe them anything. Then, when I tried to at least give them a tip, they refused to take it. Man, if I lived in Brookfield, I would definitely come back to these guys for all my car repairs! You just don't get service like that very often. read more

Car got stuck on the road during that epic snow storm @ 10 p.m. and the 911 operator told me that my only option was to call this place. At first, I got a bad feeling when the lady stated that a service call to my car would start off at $100, had to be in cash, and would be a 90 minute wait at least. (good thing I just had a new battery installed recently) I found it weird that the lady couldn't comprehend with my location, which was on 31st about a mile west of the Wolf rd./31st intersection. A small tow truck shows up right around 12:30 and a Brian Doyle-Murray sounding guy instructs me to sit on the passenger side since its the warmest area of the car. To my surprise, they were able to maneuver the tow hook, despite the walls of snow practically gripping the perimeter of my car. When I asked what the final damage was, the guy answers with a "Its $100 even though I should charge you more." even though there was no struggle with moving it out of the snow. I tipped one of the guys $20 and they followed me to my short destination since the roads were still in bad shape. All in all, I was mainly happy with that they didn't take advantage of me and were pretty brief. read more

I have been going to Complete Auto Service since I first bought my car new back in 2003. I still have the same 2003 Honda Accord and I still go to Complete Auto Service for all my car needs. Rick and his family are so welcoming. It's hard to find an honest car dealer, so when you do your willing to travel the distance for car repairs. I live in the city, but still drive to Brookfield when I need work done on my car. Thank goodness this time it was just a battery replacement :) I like the fact they only fix what's immediately needed and will let you know how long you have before other parts may need service. You're not over charged and they don't conduct unnecessary car repairs. They try to look into ways to save you money and give you tips on regular maintenance you need to keep your car in good condition, so you won't need costly repairs in the future. My family and I bring all of our cars here for work and were thankful we have a reliable person to keep our cars running smoothly. read more

If I could give more stars, I would do it in a minute! My employee, only 19 with her first car, contacted Complete Auto when her car died. The service was 110%...WAY above and beyond. But, even more amazing than the service is the character of the owners and the professionalism they showed through the entire experience. It was obvious to me that they really cared and even though they had no guarantee they would get the work once it was analyzed, Rick and his team worked tirelessly to find the problem and advise us of the solution. Once the work was done the price was fair and I know he did not charge for every moment he worked on the car. Rick and Lee knew she was young and, I think, wanted to give her a break. Friendly family run business where they all know their trade. The wife answered the phone (sorry I forgot your name) and dazzled me with her knowledge immediately. I had a tire where the wheel lock exploded and broke off partially. They were able to get me in and fixed up very quickly. My dads very old, rusty Suburban lost its brakes. The tow truck got there by 1:30pm and shortly after we got a call that it was a miracle the brakes broke. Invited in to see the damage, my dad was impressed with their honesty. His "U bolts" holding the back axel on rusted off completely and the axel was already falling off. I wonder if a big muffler/brake shop would have been so thorough to mention it? It's not a fancy place at all, but then you know you won't get ripped off with high charges. This will be my new repair shop and I'm spreading the word to family and friends. read more

Rick and his crew at Complete Auto are awesome! This family owned repair shop was nothing but professional throughout my whole stressful broken car experience. Not only do they do good work, they also offer a free 24 hour towing service! When they put my car back together, my car wouldn't hold an idle, and because they had to keep my car an extra day to diagnose and fix the problem, Rick was kind enough to give me a free oil change the next time I need it. He even said they will come pick up my car, tow it to the shop to change the oil, and tow it back for free. Now that's what I call service. If you miss the quality service that was so common a long time ago - it still exists at Complete Auto Service. Rick is caring, knowledgable and trustworthy. I had a car problem that needed towing. He came out, carefully towed the car and checked it out at his shop. Turns out that there was just a minor problem so he charged me nothing for the tow or the follow up servicing. Any where else, I could have been charged for a new transmission but Rick would take no money because, he said, he did nothing to fix the car. Just moved to the neighborhood, stop in to the shop by my house, the lady at the desk (Lisa) very welcoming and professional. I needed a oil change, check fluids and tires. I cannot warn you enough not to take your car here. Brought my car in with the check engine light on and Rick decided to "fix" my car without even calling to tell me the problem or let me know the price. After he tried to overcharge me he got extremely rude with me when I told him that was not ok and stormed out to put the old parts back on my car! When bringing it to another mechanic they not only quoted me a price 150 dollars less, but they said that the parts did not need to be replaced and it was a simple spark plug that needed to be switched out. I brought my car in because my oil was pouring out like a river thanks to the place I usually go to for an oil change.. I gave them my keys and they lifted my car and let me know what the problem was immediately and got it fixed. I needed a timing belt for my 2002 300M and got quotes from 5 different auto shops, and all except one (Hollywood Motors) within $50-$100 of each other. I talked to Rick and Lisa on the phone and felt that I could trust him. He didn't seem like he would give my one price and change it when he got my car in and looked at it. Well, Rick called me in the morning and the parts had gone up considerably so the cost was $130 MORE than the original quote. Rick worked it out so I didn't have to have the "kit" that comes with the timing belt and saved me the $130. He called me back again with some bad news that my serpentine belt and one other belt were a mess, so they HAD to be replaced. (He also showed me the belts and they were a really chewed up). Rick changed the belts, and somehow saved me a great deal of money. The cost was LESS than the original quote for the timing belt alone. Rick took the time and considered my financial state and not only saved me a lot of money, he also gave me peace of mind. He and his wife Lisa are very kind, considerate and professional. I only wish I knew Rick BEFORE this, I would have saved myself time, money and the assurance that I'm NOT being ripped off.
