The manager told me it "wouldn't come out of my pocket" because they wanted me to sign a lien against my accident settlement. They recommended 12 visits at $1,000 each and explained that I wouldn't notice any improvement in inflammation until after six treatments. This made me uncomfortable, as the costs were extremely high and the medical necessity was unclear. The whole experience felt more about securing payment than about patient care. When I left, the staff's expressions were telling -- almost as if they knew it was unusual. In my opinion, treatment referrals should come from a licensed physician who has evaluated your condition, not through an attorney. I ultimately decided not to proceed.
