At my initial appointment, I asked about the cost of treatment. The entire office seemed surprised by my question. The manager told me it "wouldn't come out of my pocket" because they wanted me to sign a lien against my accident settlement. They recommended 12 visits at $1,000 each and explained that I wouldn't notice any improvement in inflammation until after six treatments. This made me uncomfortable, as the costs were extremely high and the medical necessity was unclear. The whole experience felt more about securing payment than about patient care. When I left, the staff's expressions were telling -- almost as if they knew it was unusual. In my opinion, treatment referrals should come from a licensed physician who has evaluated your condition, not through an attorney. I ultimately decided not to proceed.

I have had 15 surgeries in 12 years and have an aggressive autoimmune disease that requires pain management and injections and all manner of treatment options. The care and compassion are wonderful. I asked to stay with Dr. Matian. My experience with the PA named Jackie has been consistently positive. My experience with Dr. Martin also has been consistently positive. Sometimes he cannot fulfill my requests (like this week) and he provides an explanation. It doesn't change my opinion of how accommodating and compassionate he has been.
