Ordered risers for tanks. Paid for risers before the install now no one can find a ticket to when they are being installed. Been told one day then again no ticket. A day went by with no phone call to schedule this crew. When I called to find out when they were coming out, the Customer Service rep told me that they would have to put a camera down into my system to locate the access cover for a cost of over $500. I told them to forget it and forget me as a repeat customer. 47 years in this house with the tank being pumped multiple times and never did any technician have difficulty locating the access cover. Apparently being bought out by Wind River means making money by any means they can scam their customers.

He was on time for the quote and the work. He's detailed oriented, knows the plumbing codes, takes his time to do it right and quotes a fair price. Anthony was very professional, and he quickly found the source of the leak and changed out the pipe. Then he put in a new shutoff and a drain valve to ensure that this won't happen again. Two gentlemen showed up at 4pm. They said there was "too much water in the pipes". They removed my toilet and sent a snake down and put in some chemicals. Said they would charge extra to put the toilet back on. Told us if that didn't work to call them back and they'd come with "a bigger snake". Charged me $544. I called back that night as it obviously did not work. Night receptionist had no idea what I was talking about or that I was even a customer. Said she would have the owner call me. He did not. Called the next day and again was told the owner would call me. He did not. Called a different plumber on Wednesday who actually jetted my pipes. He also said the snake actually made it worse by pushing more down. I called the amazing receptionist again who said the owner offered me 10% off. $54 dollars. They did not do what I specifically called them to do -jet my pipes. I think it was going to be a long, messy job and they didn't want to do it, so they threw a snake down and charged me $544. If you need your pipes jetted, call Lamprey septic. They were amazing.

I recently had American Plumbing Heating & Cooling out of Bow, NH, to replace my hot water heater…read more While the onsite staff's workmanship was spot on, and they were amazing to deal with, my overall experience was soured by the gentleman handling inbound calls at their office. The company charged me $65 for a new drip pan that I never received and $250 for a permit that was taken out five days AFTER the service was completed--three times the actual cost of the town permit, which is only $75 in Amherst. According to the town's ordinance, permits need to be pulled prior to any work being done. It was only after I confronted the company about not pulling a permit that they attempted to backtrack and obtain one 5 days after the completion of this job. When I requested a refund, they informed me that I needed to have the town inspector come and inspect their work before they would issue a refund for the $65 & not for the permit. This inspection is not a requirement, with or without a permit, yet they are refusing to refund my money. While their onsite team did an excellent job, the dishonesty of the office staff puts a bad name on the company. I DO NOT recommend American Plumbing Heating & Cooling due to these deceptive practices.
