Thumbs up to the CSLS and many thanks from my company J.J. Leon Construction, Inc., I've started using the CSLS back in 2005 to help me with study materials and classes to acquire my A-General Engineering License, thanks to the study courses from the CSLS I got my contractors license in 2005, since then I've used the CSLS to add additional licenses to my company, B-General Building, and Specialty Licenses C-36 Plumbing, C-39 Roofing, and currently I'm scheduled to test for a C-33 Painting Classification. The customer service from the CSLS when I first got started in 2005 was not really the best, it was a little confusing for my first license, but for the past 6 years- working with the CSLS was very pleasant getting my additional licenses, there is only one person I will recommend working with and the only one I want to deal with from the CSLS and that's Lolita Tavas, she is the best, I've talked with a few others from the CSLS in the past before I knew Lolita and they had to refer me to Lolita because it's not an easy process adding additional classifications and Lolita always had the answers, she knows her job duties very well, and always returns my calls when she's not available, I'm referring everyone I know that wants to be a contractor to the CSLS and to for sure ask for Lolita!! If you are new or experience Subcontractor that needs help ask for Barbie she is super cool to work with and has access to information is close to impossible to retrieve by yourself she is the one to look for. I can't say enough good things about Barbie Perez, been in other business for more than 2 decades and never found someone else to go out her way and personal time to help like BARBIE......... Just to mention I had not one but 4 different problems with the board and Insurance took me and 2 other places to try to solve them with NO RESULTS somehow my number and name got to BARBIE not 3 weeks but 3 days later everything was solve and a refund from Insurance company was mail to my door and license send there after. read more

This is my first official review, so bear with me. I have been coming to the Lancaster Contractor's School for all of Licensing and Corporation paperwork. Barbie P is a breath of fresh air. She will go above and beyond to make sure that everything is done correctly. It's nice to speak with someone who is a genuine straight shooter. Prompt and to the point, she will help you 100% and send you off on your way with a big smile. The School offers the best materials and classes around. I enrolled at this School a few years back, then I just got busy at work, and did not follow through. When I was finally ready, it was difficult dealing with the State Board because there was so much paperwork involved. Then Barbie Perez started helping me out. That's when the ball got rolling. She was able to help me get licensed in about 3 months. I am now officially a General Building Contractor. She also helped me form my Corporation. I did not know that it was so quick and easy. I had went to a different School 7 years ago, and I was not able to pass the state exams. I was discouraged for a long time, but then I found CSLS .I walked into the School in Lancaster in October to enroll for my C-17 Glazing License. Barbara speaks Spanish and was able to answer all of my questions. I attended class, did my practice exams, studied, and by the time I attended the crash courses I felt extremely confident. I passed both exams, and in February became licensed and bonded. This School is great. Go see Barbara and tell her Pablo sent you. I would highly recommend the Lancaster School to anyone in the Antelope Valley looking to get their Contractor's License. Lolita is great and Barbara is the best Student Administrator. She is very knowledgeable in the whole process. She also gave me all the motivation I needed when it came down to studying up for my State exam. Barbara is very sweet, but also very blunt and straight to the point. She will not sugar coat reality for you. If you are serious and want to get licensed, save yourself any hassle. I am a returning Student at the Lancaster School. I am a Business owner, I passed my General Engineering Exam, and I am in the process of taking my Welding exam. CSLS has the best program for Contractors. I recently passed my General A Exam for Engineering Contractor. I am very thankful to the School and especially the guidance and support that was given to me by Lolita and Barbara. Let me start by saying that I'm not a big "review" guy, but I felt it important to acknowledge the Contractor's State License School in Lancaster. I am a young guy of 23, and I thought it would be so hard to get my C33 license for painting. I walked into the School, and met with Barbara. Great school! I enrolled in hopes of getting my C-20 license and in a few months I was able to achieve that goal and passed both the business/law and trade exam on the first try.
