However, there is no better place to be taught accountability and encouragement as I complete my acquire my degree.

But I would not wish this school as a whole on my worst enemy. I have gone through my bachelors and stupidity fell for that this would be a good stepping stone before BSN which if any of the staff had any morals they would have said. That being said I know school. I usually LOVE school, but this LVN program is not school. It feels like a humiliation/right of passage/im not helping bc no one helped me thing and it's disgusting. I have no kind words to say and im sure no one else does either. I understood and fell in love with nursing because of professor simple nursing and YouTube and mark k bc I WORKED MY ASS OFF but there were times the school made it feel like they wanted us to fail. On top of all that when we passed our exit and became graduates the horror show did not end. The director didn't allow us to sign up for the NCLEX on our own and forced us to wait three weeks to sign up together ultimately delaying us and decreasing our chances of passing based on the statistics on how long you wait. When I took my exit I was 95% passed rate accordingly to the software we used. I study daily but it's just hard working so hard and not receiving any respect or kindness from anyone (except the wonderful and amazing clinical instructor). DEEPLY DISAPPOINTING & borderline traumatizing passed my NCLEX & exit exam & absolutely no thanks to them

I called so many schools and compared my options, but nothing came close to what Gurnick had to offer me. The school curriculum and high standards of high achievement are met fully. The staff follows all protocols that need to be met for your best interest in mind. I appreciate that every single staff in the business are trained to work in harmony with one another. At GURNICK everyone is team player. Thank you for motivating me, and creating a wonderful space to learn. I will forever be a Gurnick student. I'm proud to say that. Best wishes for everyone who embarks in the health care field.

I have followed up 6 times since then (about 6 week window) via phone and text. I have received no response back. I went as far as to say in my last message that if I was not approved after they reviewed my application to make me aware so I could search for another program. Unfortunately I will be in search of another program, which is disappointing given the rating a proximity to my home.

The school has all the knowledge required to become successful in the field, and the staff does an amazing job instilling that knowledge into students. The best part about the school is Simone, the program director. She is the absolute hardest worker I know, while also being the one who cares the most for the students. As a student, even if you do not have many interactions with her, she still knows who you are and she works hard for you, especially in the background where all the work that she does is even more thankless. I do not understand how she can accomplish everything that she does, but my only explanation is that she must have more than the 24 hours in a day that the rest of us have.

The environment often felt more like a high school than a professional healthcare education program. Favoritism appeared to play a significant role in how students were treated. Behavior that was overlooked for some students resulted in disciplinary action for others. I observed instructors and staff engaging in conduct that I felt was inappropriate for an educational setting, including discussing students, allowing nicknames that could be viewed as unprofessional, and tolerating behavior that created a negative learning environment. When concerns about misconduct were raised, I did not see meaningful action taken. Academically, I felt the instruction was lacking. Much of the teaching consisted of reading directly from textbooks or slideshows with limited explanation or hands-on guidance. Given the relatively small teacher-to-student ratio, it was concerning to see such a low percentage of students successfully pass certain courses. I also witnessed accommodations and grading adjustments that appeared inconsistent among students. The learning environment was frequently disrupted by unrelated conversations during labs and quizzes. Lab sessions often lacked structure, and equipment or procedures did not always function as expected. Rather than fostering student success, the atmosphere often felt discouraging and unsupportive. For a program that requires a significant financial investment, I expected a higher level of professionalism, accountability, and educational quality. Unfortunately, my experience did not provide the preparation or support I believe students deserve when pursuing a career in radiologic technology.

Before I say anything else, I would like to note that the woman who signed me in and helped me with my exam was very kind and did everything she could to help me and the other students. Testing centers are guaranteed to be quiet, safe spaces. I have been to several testing centers before, and I have never had such a horrible testing experience. This site had constant loud conversations that the test-takers could hear, non-test takers coming in and out of the room to move things around, employees talking to each other in the testing room, and last but not least, construction with hammering and drilling. This is unacceptable and unheard of for a standardized testing center. We were told that the construction would end at 10:00am. That did not happen. I have spent the last 6 years of my life devoted to becoming a Physician Assistant. This was the most important test of my entire life, because it was a determination of all my efforts and my career depended upon it. Not only that, but I spent over $500 for this exam. I spent my 6-hour exam repeatedly distracted and unable to perform the way I could have. People, CONSTRUCTION DURING A STANDARDIZED TEST. The owner of this site was extremely rude and had zero consideration for the people around him. When I asked to be relocated to a different computer because of a fault of that specific computer, he scolded me, not even knowing why I was asking to be relocated. He told me it was my problem. The computer's error was my problem. Furthermore, COVID-19 regulations at testing centers are mandatory. The owner and several women in the office refused to put on a mask. You all are endangering yourselves and everyone around you, as well as breaking regulations. HOWEVER, thank you again to the kind woman who took care of us, changed my computer twice, and did her best in a difficult and tense environment. I appreciate you and I'm sorry I didn't ask for your name.
