When I began this process (Getting my contractors license) I was lost didn't know much of what I needed to do to get this process started. Visited most of the contracting schools in S. D. I heard a lot of programs & different systems but Juan Rosario of the C.S.L.B. gave me a detailed process that if you fallow it you can't fail. In the beginning I was doubtful but it made a lot of sense & once the precess began Juan Rosario guided me through everything telling what exactly what was going to happen & what I needed to do. I did as he told me from the beginning & yes Juan Rosario as a councelor was great. His guidance was one of a kind, I'm the type of person to ask questions & call when something doesn't seem right & Mr. Rosario was alway there to answer my questions & explain what I needed to do. His direction helped me get through this without any headaches & I'm very thankful to him for the way he coached me because without it I don't think I would've seceded. Contractors State License school is a great place to go if you are seeking to get a contractors license. They have great classes, accompanied by very attentive staff who will support and ensure you will succeed on obtaining your license. Maribel Osuna, one of the counselor helped me with the whole process beginning to end. When I needed help she was there to help guide me through every step of the way. By personal experience I would suggest the full package they provide. What is included is; study guides, classes and also the book containing everything to prepare you for the law and trade exams. With all the support i received from CSLS I was able to pass my exams on my first try. Thank you CSLS and Maribel for everything. Was very pleased with my Crash Courses. Dave Kirkwood was a great instructor who made the class fun. He was very helpful when it came to asking questions. Dave was also helpful in giving me confidence to deal with the CSLB and not simply withdrawing my application. Note, if you get his as an instructor, don't be an over emotional, easily offended softy. He is honest, blunt and sarcastic, which is refreshing change in todays world. Also, Juan Rosario, who is the manager I believe, was very helpful in answering my questions after I took the test and passed. I am currently dealing with the CSLB to review my experience. Csls absolutely works. Juan knows what he is talking about. Just listen and follow his advice. The classes were great and easy to follow. Really, everything you need to know is right in front of you. They provide the material and guidance, but you do have to put in the time at home and do the practice tests. That was key. I am super happy with what I paid for. I finished taking my class a couple of weeks ago and I am waiting my exam date from the CSLB.
