Excellent experience rate at 10. Providers were positive polite professional, courteous, upbeat. Providers listened extremely well and took their time. Walked in today after having inhaled chemicals (permethrin and Picaridin) I told the lady at the front desk that I had directly I ingested chemicals and I was having respiratory issues and couldn't breath well. The lady listened and then told me that I could not be serviced as they 'aren't taking anymore walk-in's' I thought that when you ingest chemicals that it was important, but I guess urgent cares are allowed to turn you away for that. If you ingest chemicals make sure you know they 'aren't accepting walk-in's'. read more

About a month ago, I needed to have blood drawn and as far as I know, this is the only Labcorp in the area. I got there first thing in the morning and was first to check in. I sat for over an hour. I went to the reception desk to see if I would be getting in soon and it took another ten or fifteen minutes. I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, as everyone has their off days. I guess every day is an off day for getting blood drawn here, as I have been waiting for 2.5 hours now, with no end in sight. I'll be finding somewhere else next time. read more

I am the parent of a son with special needs and the home he lives in called me tell me that he was having a bad ear infection which he has frequently and they were bringing him to this location to be seen. Normally they would take him to his PCP but being on a weekend that was not an option. He has anxiety of public places but today he actually was being very good he willingly went in the building he spent most of his time standing in a corner because it was away from people but he never touched anybody or went near anybody the most he did was do this laugh slash giggle that he does when he is a bit agitated. He would not immediately go into an exam room but I think it would have happened if patients had been shown. We were not there 5 minutes and some lady came out in motioned me in for room and inform me if we didn't get my son out of there within 10 minutes of calling the cops. I completely understand that happening if he had gotten volatile dangerous head tried to do something to somebody but he never made any attempt whatsoever and was very calm and relaxed other than not wanting to go into an exam room I was appalled at the lack of professionalism from the staff do you remember the adage of treat others how you'd want to be treated clearly they have forgotten that. If that had been their child they would be as annoyed and appalled as I am right now. I would never recommend this location to anyone if their brain was coming out of their head are their legs were being chopped off such lack of compassion and professionalism shown by the staff today. read more

I went in for a minor fender bender. I asked multiple times if they had capability to check me. They said they did. I went in and nurse took vitals. Doctor came in and told me they could not see me and recommend I go to ER to be examed by trauma team. I left and went to ER. They were nice enough to bill me $225 for advising me to go to ER. When I called to disput bill, I was told where vitals were taken services were rendered. So my recommendation is to go somewhere else or just don't let them touch you until a doctor confirms they will treat you there. read more

My daughter who is a student at umo went to the Bangor facility last night. For one I was not called to consent for her treatment as she is only 17. She went there with complaints of dizziness, feeling like she was going to pass out throughout the day, headache ,fatigue and just not feeling well. The provider looked in her ears and said they were a little red and gave her an antibiotic and gave a rx for cough which was not an issue. Never addressed the other complaints and never did a covid test. Was told they have seen alot of people with these symptoms and mostly been nothing. She left got her own covid test which was positive and has 2 prescriptions she really doesn't need. As a mother and an Rn at an urgent care this was poor care and not a good experience for my daughter. At urgent care we get busy but we need to treat each person's concerns and complaints separate from what you have seen most of the day. read more

PEOVIDER: Timothy Canham PA-C. Went to this place with a constantly draining right eye. First thing I told the nurse was that I have no known allergenic air drug allergies. It's even on my paperwork. This guy comes in, sitting across the room from me (this is when he asks me if I have an eye doctor so I know I'm in trouble), asks me some questions and does a slight exam to include my breath sounds and heart. In the end he says there are some allergies in the air going around and that he thinks it's allergies. He then says I can go to a store and get an over the counter eye allergy medication!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Out of all my over 20 years of working in the medical field, and being seen, THIS PLACE is the only place that has ever turned me away from treatment. My partner cut his finger while cooking and needed stitches, but with covid we really wanted to avoid the hospital. We arrived at convenient MD at 7:50pm, I understand that it's not ideal as they close at 8pm. The doors were locked when we got there at 7:50 and a staff member saw us at the door trying to get in and walked away to hide in the back. I'm extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism here. When the closing time is posted as 8pm, I expect the doors to be open until 8pm. Not only that, being ignored by the lady inside was very frustrating. I will not be returning and will not suggest this place to anyone read more

My boyfriend just called about his COVID-19 test results. They were negative. Apparently they've been available for 6 days. When he got it done they told him not to call and go on the website to check they would be available to him 2-5 days. It's been 8 days and he and I have not seen anything about it on the website he was supposed to go to. The first girl he talked to was very sweet and understood. The second girl Barb or Barbie was very rude, I've never seen anything like it. If you don't like your job, find a different one. You work with patients, your job requires you to be understanding. He asked her very politely to make a note that his website wasn't working for his work and she said "nope, you could've called within those 6 days" uh, excuse me? You told him not to call when he got it done 8 days ago. Then proceeded to call him a liar and said that she saw it, so he should too. This similar thing happened to one of my friends just a bit ago. Ive been here once, but after this I will not be back, very unprofessional. They could've been a little bit more understanding about this considering it's the website they're giving out to look at and telling patients not to call due to high demand. Had this been my first visit it would be the last. I went in hoping the doctor I had seen was in but she was not. I asked very specific questions as I wanted a cyst removed that the doctor I have seen can do and did not want to see anyone if they would not remove it. I was told I could see a doctor but the doctor on duty would determine removal. That is fair enough. I did not see a doctor it was a PA who was clueless telling me cyst are never removed other then perhaps a dermatologist just drained. This is not correct as I have had them removed before by an MD in fact just last month had one removed that was in a location the doctor at ConveniantMD could not remove due to location. I have drained them myself it is not rocket science and I would never go to a doctors office for a drainage as waste of time and money. I have yet to meet a PA worth 1/2 and RN. I wonder what the billing is for 90 seconds with blood pressure pulse o2 absorption and less then 1 minute with PA Should have just left no seen anyone and called in the next day to see if the doctor I have seen was in as she was fantastic read more

Their wait time is super long most of the time however we are in a global pandemic good places are going to have a wait. I really love their doctors and nurses. We saw sign in front of building advising free flu shots at their new location. My husband & I decided to see what place was like & went in for free shot. Everyone was very nice & we obtained shot. I questioned the free part as we both have medicare. I was advised that even if we had medicare or any insurance no one was being charged. Today I received 3 month statement showing activity on each of our medicare accounts. I was surprised that both had been charged for our "free" shot. If people can look you in the face and lie to you I am sure I would not want medical services from them. All they had to say was we bill your insurance and that would have been fine. We were staying in Bangor while we toured Maine and one of my kids woke up one morning with a fever. We found ourselves at Convenient MD. The facility is newly renovated and comfortable. The reception staff quickly took our information and after a very short wait we were called into a room. As soon as we were seen the nurse saw that my two "well" kids would benefit from an activity and brought crayons and coloring books out for everyone! The nurse and nurse practitioner we saw were knowledgeable and helpful. We were very grateful for the prompt and kind care we received. Could not have been a better experience!! read more
