The lady listened and then told me that I could not be serviced as they 'aren't taking anymore walk-in's' I thought that when you ingest chemicals that it was important, but I guess urgent cares are allowed to turn you away for that. If you ingest chemicals make sure you know they 'aren't accepting walk-in's'.

I worry about the patients that do not have a family to advocate for them. I think the "multiple specialties in one clinic" may be slowing them down. Go somewhere else for Urgent Care, if you can.

The PA, Lisa, examined my foot for about a minute and said she didn't feel any neuromas so I probably just "need better shoes." I have an extremely physical job, which she dismissed as a cause for what I think may be a fracture because apparently she thinks it's not physical enough for that. She said "you don't just get injuries by walking." I've worked on lobster boats my whole life and have experienced all sorts of regular ailments that I don't require medical attention, but this felt serious enough to seek medical care and still does. She acted like it was ridiculous for me to suggest it could be a fracture, said the X-Ray machine is currently broken and that she could send me to Bangor or Belfast for an X-Ray but that it would probably be a "waste of my time." Was in and out of there within 20 minutes, with about 5 minutes worth of exam time. No empathy, no desire to find the cause and treat the pain - which I rated as a 10. Just "find better shoes." What a joke of an establishment.

Don't bother the nurses while they are playing Dune on their phones I had a traumatic experience there in July when I had to go after midnight by ambulance. For some reason my left foot was spasming like it wasn't even part of my body. It was so painful and I had no control over that leg. I was profiled as a drug seeker even tho I told them immediately I was NOT drug seeker they ignored me. One nurse kept accusing me of not letting the other nurse draw my blood, AS SHE WAS TRYING TO DRAW MY BLOOD!!!!! She said you're not spasming now nor were u when u came in on the stretcher. I asked her what she was trying to say and she just kept repeating herself until I told her to leave my room and not come back. What a horrible person she was! Susan. How would I prevent anyone from drawing my blood? The doctor comes in and stands away from me with his arm crossed. Asked me why I was there. I told him why and he could see the spasms happening. This is an early Saturday morning, he DID NOT EXAMINE ME AT ALL!! NOTHING! He left and came back with 2 Ativan and said take one now and one Sunday then see your PCP and released me. Two hours later I'm unconscious and my sister had to call an ambulance and force them to take me to Ellsworth ED where I had all kinds of doctors working on me. I had spiked a 103° fever and heart rate 185 per minute. I was in AFib and they were telling me they were trying to save my life, afraid I was going to have a stroke. I spent 3 days in ICU on heavy anti anxiety meds as well as meds to slow down my heart rate. I would have died if my sister hadn't made the EMTS take me to Ellsworth. Why didn't Blue Hill care about me and done more? Ellsworth was able to. They treated me like an ignorant, dirty junkie. None of them should be in the medical field if that's how they treat people. I did absolutely nothing to deserve their disgust with me and simply send me home. I know so many people with horrible stories like mine

No one wants to review a hospital, but life happens!…read more I was brought here after breaking my leg hiking in Acadia, and the staff were amazing. People took really good care of me, gave me privacy and also attention, and were generally really supportive and skilled. My surgeon was awesome and has been following up with me since my return to Boston. During my overnight stay, the food was a highlight - even getting seafood chowder for lunch! If you have to come here, know you're in good hands.

I left this hospital with more pain, stress, and frustration than when I went into it. Avoid at all costs. A 14 year old passionate about growing up to be a nurse or Dr. could have given me a more caring and educated experience than the sad joke that I was just subjected to.
