They are very good. I visited twice over the Christmas holiday holiday although there was a long wait (because it was super busy) the staff was pleasant and helpful I was diagnosed with pneumonia and was given antibiotics They are my go to when sick as my PCP is in Wilmington MA. read more

Went two times with my daughter for her pre employment testing. 1st time was ok the front desk lady was rude but other then that the visit itself was fine until a few days later when her work called and said she needed to go again because they lost her specimen. 2nd time rude staff who were giving her attitude about the fact it wasn't lost it just wasn't labeled (like that's any better) we waited about 2 hours for her to pee in a cup and when she did it apparently wasn't enough and they wouldn't let her leave or they would have to report her for refusal of test so they had her drink 32 ounces of water (it's in report they did this) she gets a call few days later that she needs to redo it again because the staff called and said the sample was too diluted and that happens when someone is trying to hide drug use and drinks too much water WTF they gave her the water. Not only did we have a bad experience here but the staff made my daughter feel like she did something wrong. Do better read more

The sign in process is a huge pain and you waste more time filling a form out then just having front desk do it. They also made me self swab for a test instead of having the provider do it. I'd like my $75.00 back. I'd rather go to Mass General medexpress in Lawrence from now on where trained professionals do the job. read more

The front staff here was very pleasant and I did not have to wait long. The provider was also very nice however, herein lies the problem. She misdiagnosed an injury to my hand. I came to Urgent Card, after being looked at by the school nurse, who determined there may be something stuck in my hand and advised to get it looked at. So, I ran down to urgent care. After being seen quickly by the provider, I was told that my wound was all healed and there nothing to worry about and nothing further to do. That evening, after soaking in the tub, I saw the wound had opened up and something was sticking out of it. I proceeded to pull a giant thorn out of my hand. Perhaps, the provider should have looked at my hand more carefully, using a magnifier and a light. She would have surely seen something in there. Instead, she just quickly glanced at my hand and said it was fine. I am annoyed at having to hand them over a 60 dollar copay with a misdiagnosis, which they charged onto my credit card. My hand, in fact, was not healed since there was a giant thorn stuck in it. read more

From out of town and went to ConvenieMD Urgent Care in Newburyport. It was wonderful! They have long hours 8 am- 8 pm, very nice/clean facility, desk staff is very nice. Loved the PA that helped me... very competent and identified my issue right away. Such an easy and wonderful experience that I just had to share! read more

MD), to have a pre-admission Covid test, (on Friday, May 28, 2021 ), before she went into Avita, (assisted living) Just down the street. My mom has Alzheimer's disease, just in the middle stages. As they were asking questions, I whispered that fact to the admission's tech., and then to one of the nurses. All, of whom were Very kind & caring even before I mentioned my Mom's cognitive, and hearing challenges. Everyone was great, we didn't have to wait long, maybe five minutes, and from beginning to end everyone was sweet, kind, caring, and mostly understanding, When speaking with, and explaining everything to my Mom! I went there 2 days ago with complaints of, eye discharge causing blurred vision and not being able to open it when I woke up, vomiting, fever, nausea, body aches, and a small cut on my hand that I just wanted to make sure wasn't infected. The intake nurse first off set the blood pressure checker that goes around your arm and pumps up, to high or something and it was about to burst off my arm until she finally realized it was hurting more than it normally should, says oops realizing her mistake. She turns it down and does it again in my lower arm, and doesn't even put the thing that goes on your finger back on so I don't know how she read anything. And says "looks good". Then I get moved to another room, after I had told them what I was there for they decide to check me for flu and strep, wich I had 0 signs of either but for some reason I said sure. (Never again) so she does flu test up the nose, nothing crazy doesn't hurt. Then she does the strep test and jabs the back of my throat and I almost threw up in her face. But you know I didn't make a big deal out of it I knew it would hurt a little. And no surprise they came back negative. So she comes back in and says I have conjunctivitis and "some sort of stomach virus" and I thought well that's weird catching 2 things at the same exact time. Quick google search showed I had every symptom of Adenovirus. Don't know how they couldn't figure that but it was clear as day. But anyway after the visit a few hours later my throat started hurting and progressively has gotten worse to the point where I haven't ate since the night off the urgent care trip, and now my throat is so red and closed up to the size of about a pencil. I don't know what they did to my throat but I'm extremely upset about this, because at this point the virus is about out of me and now I'm just dealing with the worst throat ache of my entire life and I'm starving I want to eat but just can't because of this. Mind you I had 0 issue with my throat before my visit, and I was sick for about 2 and 1/2 days before the visit.so it's been 2 days now no eating (and very hard to drink anything, and all they gave me was a prescription for conjunctivitis eye drops and ointment for my hand. This urgent care location is the worst I have ever been to. I have been to several others, as parents typically need to do when kids are sick after school or on the weekends. I have never had an experience like this one at a medical facility in my life. Tony Tran, the person working the front desk, was unprofessional and rude. I made a reservation online and then called to ensure I didn't need to be in person to hold the place in line. That is what the online service said, but I wanted to be sure. Typically the wait times at these clinics can be hours. I asked that exact question and he told me that I did not, but I could if I wanted to. I asked if I needed to, or if someone that was in person could be taken ahead of me. He said possibly. I asked again what that meant, should I come or not? He said again if I wanted. I started to get frustrated and asked how many people were ahead of me and the approximate wait time. He said 2 and he didn't know how long. He then kept asking me if there was anything else he could answer. I told him he didn't really answer me...is my place held or not? He said yes, but just to ensure an appointment today, not a specific time. I asked again if I should then come in and my place would be held at that point? He said possibly again. I decided to drive down once there was only one person ahead of me online and Tony informed me that I was not actually done registering and now that I am in person it would complete my registration. I asked why in the world he didn't tell me that on the phone? The answer to my question was incredibly simple then. He told me I was rambling and just kept looking at me saying "ok." Ok to what, I do not know. This person has no business working in a public facing role, and certainly not with people that are sick or in any type of distress. It was as if he were trying to make the experience negative and difficult. Do not go to this location. There are plenty of others in the area. The only reason I went here was because they had appointments left that day. I wish I had driven further away or just waited until the next morning. This has been nothing but 4 hours of stress that could have so easily been avoided. read more

Have had very capable medical care there for my family on a few occasions. However, I have a major departure from other posts extolling the friendly and helpful nature of the reception area. My 21 year old, r-e-a-l-l-y shy, daughter comes back from simply inquiring about getting a covid test. My jaw nearly dropped to the floor when she said "... I am so tempted to 'karen' that shrew at the front desk she was so rude. I can't get over it". My daughter is of course too shy to do that. But I'm not. Making a mountain out of a molehill? Perhaps, but amiability in medical settings, even for mundane tasks, should always be held to a higher standard. I am trying to get my family and anyone and everyone around me to feel empowered to fight the pandemic at every turn. NOT helpful. read more

They're usually quite good. However, if you schedule an appt for a tetanus shot because of a minor cut, you have to see one of their doctors in order for it to go through your insurance. If you just see a nurse for the tetanus vaccine, it costs $130 out of pocket. This info is nowhere to be found on their website so you don't find out until you show up for your scheduled appt. The choices then are to wait 45 minutes, pay &130, or leave. If their website had this information, I would have scheduled a doctor's appt for a teeny tiny little puncture wound. I guess the inconvenience of "convenient"MD is better than dying of tetanus. read more

I've had a few decent experiences here but as the years go on , they really continue to decline . I know there are staff shortages everywhere but that's not the problem here . They seem to be hiring people fresh out of training with little to no supervision. A few months ago a went in for a a small cut on my hand, needed stitches . The nurse who did it had clearly no idea what she was doing , kept leaving the room . Another person was verbally assisting her. It was a small cut so I didn't think it was a big issue but in the hands of an incompetent person , big prob! Had to go to the hospital to get it fixed a few days later . Most recent & will likely be my last visit here.... a simple blood draw for labs. See picture below . You'd have to be blind to miss my veins but she did . Really dangerous people working here . Dr. Nelson Matos is the worst Dr. I have ever dealt with told him all of my issues and pain and what was going on with me. was basically told to seek help else where because there a Urgent care and couldn't help me. what a HUGE waist of time to even walk though the door. my advice is to go somewhere else to get better. if i was hit at the red light in front of there office i wouldn't crawl to there for help. read more

Was not feeling well and came here to be seen for what I thought might be Vertigo. They did the basics along with an EKG and covid test. Told me EKG was bad and I needed to go to ER. They would send report to ER, call me in prescription and call with results of covid test. I left to go to ER with no answers. I went to ER and was told my EKG was fine. They never received my report. My script was not called in and I was not called with my covid results. Spent 3 hours in ER for what Convient MD could have properly done and as I suspected, it is Vertigo I was experiencing. I couldn't find the location for the ConvenientMD in North Andover, Mass, but I wanted to give a heads up that at least at that location there are very rarely (if ever) any actual doctors there. They say they are "fully staffed," but after multiple visits I can say that the most you'll ever see is a nurse or nurse practitioner. And it isn't a triage thing. I asked directly on two occasions and was told that "no doctor" was even present at the facility. Further, and perhaps because they don't staff actual doctors, unless all you have is a cold or are getting vaccinated, all they do is refer you to the ER anyway. My visits (with multiple children) were a total waste of time, and despite the convenient location (which is why I went back despite the lack of medical staffing), I won't bother going back again - there just isn't any point. Regardless of what this place would like you to believe, and no disrespect to nurses, nurse practitioners aren't actually doctors. If they were, they'd call themselves doctors. So find a place with a doctor and go there, and see the doctor. read more

Horrible phone communication. Out of the 5 times I called and left a message in the past week (to make an in-person appointment, to check on test results), NOT ONCE did they return my call. Totally unacceptable, especially when in-person, they don't appear so busy that they can't return a call. Also, was left in an exam room for quite awhile after seeing a practitioner without being told what was next, whether I needed to stay or could go. I have use the convenient MD in Newburyport several times over the last few years. I'm so grateful to have them here! I can always get in. It is a walk-in clinic, but if they are very busy, they will suggest to you that you make an appointment so that you don't have to wait so long. I found it really easy to make the appointment online. The doctors seem to be incredibly knowledgeable. The nurses are great. Everyone really cares. Every member of my family has used this location at least once over this last year. My granddaughter arrived with a sick 9 month old two hours before closing. She just moved to Massachusetts and her Pediatrician was an hour away. A rude receptionist refused to have a doctor look at her child because "they were closing in two hours and they had too many patients waiting". ( She observed just three people in the waiting room. ) The rude receptionist said she was "sending them to the ER". I hope someone at Urgent Care sees this and reports this receptionist to a supervisor. So her options are to go to the ER and expose her child to more sick people or have her go untreated. I went for a Covid test. The wait was short, maybe 15 minutes. They did an EKG which resulted in some concerns. The PA did not explain my cardiac diagnosis, using a medical term that was foreign to me. Made me believe I had a blocked artery which I did not. He was fairly abrupt and short with me. Worst of all were two medical staff sitting at the documentation area who had their masks on their chins leaving their mouths and noses uncovered -- in a medical environment with clear signs to keep masks on place!! It made me question the quality of management that would permit such an egregious lapse in Covid prevention practice. I won't go back. read more

I had never had a reaction that bad to a bee sting! The staff barely stopped me at the door. Took me right in and got me hooked with meds I needed to stop the redness and welts from spreading more than they already had. I was panicked, they were cool and helpful. Went for a COVID test. Website says no appointment necessary. Wrong. Went at 10am. Got a "not needed appointment " for 2:15. Went back at 2;15. Told to wait in my car. Got a tele health phone visit at 3:45 in my car. Told to wait for another call and they would come out to my car. Never told the what kind of car so I went in. Told NO. We will call you to come in when ready. Back to the car. 4:10 call to come in. 4:15 called to the room for a test that took one minute ! So all in all I paid to chat on the phone with the np and it took 6 hours to get a no appointment needed visit. read more
