Had a great…read moreexperience UNTIL I received a email my dr put in his "30 day notice" and quit just leaving all his mental health patients with no time to establish a new doctor. which the dr had been gone from the office before then. He couldn't even take the time to reply to a simple email, phone call, text.. NOTHING!!! he just up and quit!!!! how scary and dangerous for patient's. The wait lists are months/years to even get in a new doctors office.. the letter wrote stated they would make sure patients atleast had a 90 day supply of refills for their medications, THEY DID NOT DO THIS & LEFT MENTALLY ILL PATIENTS TO POTENTIALLY DIE AS THE MEDICATIONS ARE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TO BE ABRUPTLY TAKEN OFF!! THIS IS SO MORALLY WRONG & SAD TO DO TO ANY HUMAN!!!! THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN!!! How can any doctor's office legally do this?? I'm seeking legal advice and waiting to hear from the board of licensing. save yourselves the pain, scared of the unknown, extremely scary and heartbreaking experience!!!!!

I never think to leave reviews for urgent cares/ERs/doctors, but after an extremely disappointing…read moreexperience elsewhere recently I thought I'd leave some love for this walk-in care clinic. A few years back I was getting sinus infections all of the time. When you know you have one, you know. Before I knew about the joys of telemedicine (it's so convenient to just tell someone over the phone your symptoms, the color of your phlegm, and exactly what antibiotic you need to get through the extreme discomfort of a sinus infection; which, if you've never had one, feels like your face is being kicked in), I came here. The wait time was what I thought it would be: around an hour or so. It was relatively quiet when I came, the waiting room was clean, and the interactions with each staff member was nice. I was brought to a bed where a doctor saw me almost immediately. I explained to him that I got sinus infections a lot and I believed I was on the verge of getting one, but really wanted to take care of it ASAP, since I was getting ready to do a bunch of international travel. He took a flashlight, held it against my cheeks, and said, "Yep, you definitely do." (Apparently this is called the transillumination test: the sinuses are supposed to appear hollow and have a reddish glow; if infected it appears opaque and the light doesn't shine through). He was friendly, funny, gentle, patient, and made me feel seen and heard. Now that I can use telemedicine through my employer, I'll probably just keep doing that. BUT if they were to suggest I needed to see someone and my PCP wasn't available, I think - for the Greater Portland area - this is where I'd come back to!

When I was FINALLY called in the actual emergency area, I was directed to a gurney in the passageway in front of a nurses' station where I had to wait some more time, about 20 minutes or so before seeing a very nice doctor, very briefly. He unwrapped my hand & commenting that the person who cleaned and treated my hand did a very good job bandaging up the wounds.

When you check in, it is usually with a really cheerful person. Then you are called back by a moderately friendly nurse? CNA? Not sure which and they bring you back. The last time I was there I watched the nurse play on Facebook for 2 hours while we waited... for check out papers. That's it, check out papers. Also, the female doctor there- always makes a snarky comment to me. Once she said that she could not believe that I drove my daughter there and didn't get an ambulance to the ER (my child is 15 and fell during practice- she had a mild concussion) I told her that I didn't know, the coach said to go there. Other times the comments have been more along the lines of- this is something her primary doctor could attend to. I am not an idiot, but sometimes my doctor can't squeeze us in. This last time- my daughter fell at practice and her doctor told me to go there (I called her first). When we arrived it was a male doctor that ordered X-rays and then the shift changed. Here she is again- this time she says, "you must want your child to have cancer in her 40's. You really don't need to get an X-ray of everything." I again am not a doctor, I didn't order the X-rays. Needless to say, I'm not going back. I'll drive to the one in Yarmouth or take my chances in the ER.
