The dentist was quite pushy once he found out I had insurance, telling me I should have all this work done that was not necessary for the health of my mouth. He admitted it was all cosmetic but why not use my insurance. Lastly, they used my medical history to try and track me down through my employer to remind me of an appointment, huge mistake. I did not supply my work number or give them consent to call me at work. Needless to say I am no longer a patient there.

My teeth were straight at this point and didn't require further treatment. Even Dr. Saikaly's assistant commented on how straight my teeth were. Dr. Saikaly ignored my concerns and instructed his assistant to scan my teeth for 6 more months of Invisalign. I asked the assistant why I need more treatments if my teeth were straight. She said "he's just being picky". I'm in my 40's. I don't need "perfect" teeth. Especially when my gums are at risk. Dr. Saikaly wanted my treatments to continue so he can charge me more. Now I have to spend more money on my teeth so my teeth don't fall out. I trusted Dr. Saikaly and I feel robbed.

I remember when he made the Dentures he did something wrong and had to remake them. What he didn't…read moretell me is he had to keep them for 2 weeks and I had 2 events to go to that week!! And he didn't tell me until I went to get my Dentures back after the appointment that he had already started taking them apart. I was Livid, I had to meet all these people with no Dentures, no way. I had to cancel and people were not happy with me. I was Livid with him for not telling me in advance, especially since he screwed up not me! They ended up giving me $400 of the $5000 back to make up for it. Didn't make up for it but I thought at least they are trying. When he was finished my Dentures I told him I could not eat with them because the bottoms would pop up. He made some adjustments and I also figure I would have to get use to them and then I should be able to eat no problem. That never happened. So I made an appointment for my 1 year check and alignment. They called to re-schedule my appointment for a day later then it was because they booked me to see him on his day off. So I show up for my appointment, there was no one in the reception area so I just sat there for about 15 minutes and then he came out of the back and got me. He asked me how everything was and I told him I still can't eat with them. As soon as I take a bite the back of the bottom dentures flip up and over. He put the sun glasses on me and the drewl bip. Looked at me from the front and said bite down. Then he said bite down again. Then he said can't help you, he mumbled something about not wasting time on them. The he said the stupidest thing I heard him say. he said "You brought this on yourself, it's your fault" I was in shock, not sure what he meant at all and then I started to get upset. He said you should have implants do you want me to make you an appointment for them to see you, I said No! Then he says "Ok i'll book you in for next years check up and I said why? You just said theres nothing you can do!! He said ok and I got up he said goodbye and I walked out very confused and upset. I wonder if he was suppose to be on medication? and what the heck he meant when he said this was all my fault?? I won't go back and will not recommend them. It was a Horror story from the first appoinment. I don't know what his problem was? Especially how he could tell anything by biting down. My teeth come together fine so I have no idea what his problem was. Very rude and unprofessional.

I am a new patient. Last Thursday i got my teeth cleaned. I give it 3/5 as my rating because i…read morethink there were missing things in their procedure. First: the one who did the cleaning began the cleaning without providing me an Antiseptic/ mouthwash to rinse my mouth first 9(i don't know if that's the way the entire Chapel Hill does it). Second: after my gums being injured by the dental scraper during the cleaning, the cleaner still didn't provide me any mouthwash to kill the bacteria in my mouth and help the wound heal quickly. That's how the cleaning ended. To my God alone, I give thanks that so far no infection has happened to the gums. I wish they will correct their procedure if they want 5/5 rating.

All the dental hygienists I had for teeth cleaning while I was a patient there were professional and patient focused. Dr. Saran was knowledgeable, professional and provided great patient care. The clinic itself was clean and welcoming. This is the only dental clinic I have ever been to that gave a bottle of wine as a welcome package for new patients (so nice!). They also had a decent referral program. The clinic offers direct billing to insurance companies meaning you only have to pay any necessary deductibles or percentages not covered. This clinic is located in a somewhat convenient location on Jeanne D'arc nearby restaurants and a major bus route. The clinic offers evening and weekend appointments, which is also convenient for those who work standard office hours.
