I really like my converse all stars without laces. I currently have 3 pairs and bought most of them at the Converse Outlet store. I really don't like paying retail if I can help it. However, the prices at the Converse Outlet store (and most outlet stores that I have seen) are not much less than the regular retail stores. So Buyer Beware! I suggest you sign up for their email newsletter and wait for their 30% off friends and family weekends. That's the best time to buy the shoes there. Normally, the laceless converse all stars are either $49.99 to $54.99 (they used to less, but have gone up in the past few years). With the 30% discount, you're paying $34.99 to $38.49, so it's definitely worth it to wait (if you can) for the friends and family weekends. One of my favorite stores at Citadel is the converse store. They have the original converse shoes and their "Buy One Get One 50%" deal. There's a good selection of shoes at this store so don't think that just because it's an outlet that they wont have a good selection. In their clearance section you'll find many shoes whose styles are discontinued at a low price. There's also a lot of deals on their converse shirts. I used to purchase a lot of shirts in their clearance section for under $10. Recently I learned the my favorites "Converse Chuck II" shoes were being discontinued. I went over to find that they still had a pair available in low tops in my size. This Converse outlet store is always kept clean and they have excellent customer service. I've been coming here for years to purchase my favorite converse shoes. read more

Converse is Hot! Small and dinky. Not my favorite of the converse stores by any means. The selection is small compared to the others. Definately a place to stop by if you are at this outlet. Why come here? Because, Converse is hot. Hot shoes, hats, socks, sandals, and shirts. Fila is early 80's, Addidas followed. Nike is 90's. Converse..the coolest as a kid and they are back strong! Step into the 2010's in a nice pair of converse. The best store is in Carlsbad at the outlets. read more

I came here to pick up my annual white and black chucks and always, they're all so nice and helpful. Even on a hectic day, I am in and out of the store in about 5 minutes. This year they had a BOGO 50% Deal, which was cool. The BOGO 50% was only for specific shoes--particularly the ones that are ugly and nobody wants BUT I was able to find a pair of DC chucks that I only paid about $25 for. It was a steal. Very disappointed after my last visit to the Converse store at Citadel Outlets. We had already picked out 3 pairs of shoes to buy, but needed a 4th pair since they were buy 1 get 1 1/2 off. My husband was going to try on a style but all the size 8 were displays. So I gave him one of the displays to try on. Well, one of the workers, (Nick) comes by and makes my husband take off the shoe because according to him displays can't be tried on. We said how are we supposed to buy it if he can't try it on? He said are you planning on buying it? We said yes. He said ok then, I will hold it for you at the register, and he still did not let us try it on. We told the cashier this when we went to pay. Turns out he did not want to let us try on the display because then he would have to place the plastic back inside the shoe to put on the display. Seriously?! Then what the f*ck are you getting paid for? To just stand there and look nice? Converse needs to take a look at the people they have working. Don't work there if you don't want to be there or don't want to help people. read more

This location is kept clean and organized. It's always easy to look at all the styles and even the sale items which usually line the walls are very well organized. Their sale items are also clearly marked. Check the bottom of your receipt they'll often times offer your $5 of your next $20 purchase if you complete a survey. read more

I'm a sucker for Chuck Taylor's. I've been wearing those shoes for as far back as I can remember. Can't go wrong with the Old School white on Black, Red Chucks, Olive Green, with Flames, Camo, Batman...etc. I like the outlet shop, as it has other types on All Stars on Sale along the wall, besides the regular pairs. The Store is clean and well maintained and the staff is helpful. I've been to this store a few times and the only complain that I have is that I can't find the one pair of chucks I've been looking for but in their defense the shoe is for lack of a better word "out of print". read more

Don't be fooled by this converse outlet they have a lot of shoes but they will never have the size you want. You will notice all the other major brand shoe stores have lines out the door converse does not maybe because they never have the size. This store is a major disappointment. read more

Ok - I'm here to review to help counter with the past haterade about this particular store. I happened to be in the Commerce area b/c of my work, and I had some time to kill and a need to replace my current Jack Purcells which are falling apart. I can literally stick a finger in the ever growing hole in my shoes. It was a Friday during the holidays - but I happened to be here around 10am. So, I was able to get the necessary customer service that unfortunately most wouldn't receive. That being said, I walk in and take a look around. I find the basic Jack Purcells in the canvas, then I see right next to the canvas Purcells are the leather purcells - a shoe I've been wanting for a long time now, but have been quite expensive for what they are. Additionally, the canvas purcells and the leather purcells were the same price. BWA?!?! seriously?! DONE DEAL. So I go run to the car to get my socks (I had my heels on at the time) to try on the shoes to ensure the same fit as my canvas purcells. As expected, the fit was the same, and from walking in to walking out was 20 mins total. I r a happy camper - I got brand new spanking shoes on the cheap. The best part is that I can slip in my custom insert while wearing these shoes - I've been meaning to start wearing them again. I was hoping that this store would have the Woolrich Jack Purcells, but that would be asking too much. Oh well - I'm going to get them one way or another. read more

I have never waited so long to be helped! I seriously had to wait about 3 minutes (and 3 minutes is a long time) to be helped as the cashier talked on the telephone. HELLO! what happened to customer first? And it wasn't that he was on the phone when I approached the cashier area, he saw me started to help then picks up the phone and talks and talks. The only reason I'm giving this store 3 stars is because their prices (for shoes) are the same as other places. The whole point of shopping at an outlet is to be able to buy things at a cheaper price. I bought my daughter a pair of baby Converse and they were $24.95, which is the same if you were to buy them from Nordstrom or Zappos. I suppose they may have sales during the holidays but there's no way I can wait until the winter to buy a pair of shoes for a growing baby. They have what you are looking for but expect to pay what you would pay at a department store...unless you're willing to settle for a funkier color. read more

The best place to find Converse shoes at Citadel. However, do not expect to get a good deal on the shoes. The store charges the same price for many of the shoe styles as their regular Converse stores and the websites. Journeys and many department stores sell Converse shoes at the same or more competitive prices. They have SALE on their past season styles and certain colors, but sizes are limited. My biggest complaint is the staff tricked me on doing the Customer Survey in the store the last time I went there. They asked me if I I wanted to have $5 off for the next purchase. I said yes, then they took me to the side of the store and asked me to give them my smartphone, they typed in the survey website, asked you survey questions and they typed in the answers for me. I had to use my phone data for 10 minutes of survey that I could easily do it at home, if I wanted to. read more
