I went to Space City Vintage recently with a pal. We browsed the store. I was impressed by the sheer volume of quality garments. The clothing, shoes, belts, and purses all stood out to me. I thought the prices for many items were fair. I purchased a coat with a beautiful pattern. I had tried getting a discount on the coat before purchasing it for some loose seams, but the cashier determined the loose seams weren't a big deal. I asked them how I should care for the coat and they told me their recommendation. I am highly satisfied with my purchase. The cashier was friendly. read more

Store would have been cool if one of the workers didn't decide to be obnoxious and rude and ask my friend to put the vinyl she was holding back while snatching it back aggressively. Just wanted a picture and he acted like we were screaming in the store. Don't recommend unless you like buying from overpriced stores with poor service. read more

Always fun to stop by and browse. The space is now half clothing, and the other half shared space between records/CDs and a tattoo parlor. The dressing rooms are now open, which is helpful. Staff are accessible if you have questions. Clothing items are pricier than some other used clothing stores, but the quality is decent and they do appear truly vintage. read more

A sign on the street at the doorway framed by a really steep flight of stairs stated that vinyl records and vintage clothing was upstairs. But first we had to eat, then a rebound, up those wide, steep stairs, into a wide and deep space set up like a miniature department store. Clothes and accessories up front, knickknacks and doohickeys here and there, a couple specialized kiosks and dead center, slightly towards the back, bins of old records. Mostly 70s and 80s popular records, nothing exceedingly rare but if you're just starting out collecting then the reasonable prices could help fill in some gaps. There were some special audiophile records hiding in there, interestingly, I already had most or else don't like the artist enough to spring $30-50 on these collectibles. I took a peak inside a few and they were in great shape, clean and well taken care of. So when in Little Tokyo... While didn't buy anything that visit it's a fun and eclectic place so I can see myself passing through periodically. read more

I never noticed this store before, so while walking around Little Tokyo and shopping for a friend, we decided to check out this place. You get up a long set of stairs, no issues here, but going up and down, there were too many people coming and go, some very rude, not aware of others, coming right toward you. Folks, have some consideration, especially during Covid times. What is the rush? The store is a strange mix of locally branded merchandise (especially t-shirts) and racks of vintage attire. Prices are high. Also, I have never seen this one before, but they had a huge pile of clothes on the floor. It looked strange and not pleasing to the eye. This store is above a ramen restaurant, so you don't notice it at first but I'm glad that we saw it! This store is ran by 3 different second hand businesses. One owner sold mostly t shirts,, the other mostly men's clothes, the third was Sister Kokoro whose style is mainly colorful statement pieces for women. I got a beautiful dress for Sister Kokoro and the owner was very kind and cute! I love supporting small businesses, especially women of color! The best, the most reasonable, the prettiest original vintage clothing to be found in greater Los Angeles. There are other stores that I frequent but this one is run by the most knowledgeable staff and boss, and has so much more, a person who works leather on site, making custom belts, a tattoo parlor, live music on weekends and special event evenings? Check! Stickers, CDs, records old and new, vintage posters, and brand new vintage reproduction street clothing and rockabilly stylings, oh yeah and so much more! Place is awesome!!!! The guy who crafts leather into belts, wallets, and other items is so flipping cool!!! The cloths they sell are one of a kind items I've never seen before in other vintage stores!! The dj kicks ass on the wheels of steal and the records they have for sale are off the hook!! The store is right next to a few little ramen/sushi bars, convenient for dinner and a drink after shopping. I actually only went to pick up my boyfriend from the tattoo parlor they have in the back of the store. They did a fabulous piece of art on his arm, thank you Cross My Path! As I walked, in they do have a narrow stairway up the entrance which I loved because it makes you feel that DTLA loft vibe that we all love. Once I got in the staff was super friendly and helpful, I couldn't help myself but to look through their clothing racks. I found two beautiful, original vintage dresses that are perfect for fall, very affordable for being originals. I also was able to try them on in their fitting rooms they provided. I love shopping to good music and they had some 90s hip hop in the background that just got me in the mood to continue looking. Once I tried on the dresses and decided to purchase, I realized there was another vendor that was also selling a lot of guy clothes, hats, and these cool Halloween pin up print shirts. I decided on picking one out for me that would go perfect for the pumpkin patch this weekend. Staff was so friendly, when I couldn't find my size they helped me find it. Both my boyfriend and I left as happy customers and celebrated with Ramen right after! We are definitely coming back... :) read more

pros: lots and lots of racks of clothes to search through cons: finding street parking if you're on a lengthy waitlist for any of the amazing nearby restaurants, take some time to hit up this place. you're bound to find at minimum 3 things you'll want to buy--at least that's what happened to me. what makes this spot better than a standard thrift shop is that the clothes are somewhat curated. you can see this reflected in the price of t-shirts, but overall prices are really (and surprisingly) reasonable. read more

The girl that was at the register with another dude. I believe she's the daughter of the owner. Man. I was asking some really cool older cat about some sports stuff and he showed me everything and did his best to show it all and I appreciated it a lot. My little sister picked an apron and as I went to check it out, but and leave the dude said $25.00 flat. She rudely came and said $27.50. She simply got upset because I didn't buy everything the guy showed me. When she said that price even the guy next to her said "oh damn" so, I paid, it's a couple bucks and my sister wanted it. But the fact she got upset or mad at the fact I didn't want everything the guy showed me? She's super stupid and wrong for charging more out of being upset. Her father should reconsider her being there and give the shop to I think is his brother. The older guy who loved Dodgers if I remember correctly. He deserves it not her rude ass. read more

When I entered the store it was a bit intimidating because there were multiple sections with a lot of employees but no one seemed to be there to help. I was confused because when you enter the clothes upfront are new but the store is suppose to be "vintage" also there was a pile of unorganized unfolded clothes upfront and there was no signage indicating if I could look through them or not and again no one offered help. The clothes on the side rack that are vintage are extremely overpriced almost every shirt was 35 and up even if it was plain or unwarranted . The leather goods on the other hand are pretty comparable and seemed to be priced way better then even jet rag so don't forget to look through those. Overall don't think I will be shopping here again as someone that is trying to be more sustainable I don't really like the thought of a vintage store turning around and selling new clothes, that feels like it defeats the whole purpose of vintage shopping. read more
