Two things I did not like though;…read more1; I felt very rushed because the appointments were only an hour long, and I did have to ask for an extra 30 minutes. I think the appointment time should be two hours long, I only got to shop for dresses once and the rest of the time my mom and my MOH just kept bringing me dresses. It was a very rushed process and it was very busy and I don't feel like the dressing rooms. Are that big and should definitely be bigger. Also, there were two men in the dressing room when I first got there and was trying on dresses and one guy was standing right across from my dressing room, and I felt very uncomfortable with him standing there as I was half naked behind the curtain and my girls kept bringing me dresses in and out so obviously the curtain had to be opened a lot, and it was just very nerve-racking that a guy was in there. The men need to stay away, including Dad's! Just my opinion. If a guy wants to come with his bride to pick dresses like this guy seem to be then they need to like stay inside the dressing room with her not be out in the middle of the whole dressing area. Other than that, I will say they had a lot of options to choose from lots of different styles lots of different sizes and I definitely found my dress, but I still felt rushed and kind of wish. There was…read morea handyman working on the security door, so myself and other folks placed the donations right outside of the location. They seemed busy, so hopefully me labelling each bag of its contents such as shirts, shorts, pants etc. was helpful. I was lucky to find metered parking at the corner so carrying the bags was not too far; costed $1.25 for 30 minutes. Thank you Rachel's Women's Center for all that you do for this community.

But if you go every other Saturday like I did today which is the 27th of August they give out clothing and food they have a very nice selection clothing and they've got shoes dresses skirts blouses pants men's shoes children's clothing and shoes I'm some personal bath items different kinds of shoes and stuff like I said they give that offers you have to go in when you come in you first you sign in they give you your number for the clothing and then you give you a number for the food here you have to come it's basically a lot of first come first or base is only and they only do it till 11:00 in the morning after that forget it really you get there the better that means you get a better number the better number you get the better food you get and ask for the clothing they have nothing in size 1X 2x 3x or 4X nothing that's an extra large size for women you hear some nice size clothing for men and children but nothing but extra large size women. And if you do decide to go to this place that's on Fairmont avenue avenue make sure you bring something to sit down on for a really long time and it's not good and also bring something to read and an umbrella to shade yourself from the Sun cuz it does get hot if you're going to stand there all day long for a few hours and wait your turn. Back in December, I gave birth to my beautiful daughter in Murrieta. Just hours after delivery, she started experiencing complications. Unfortunately, the NICU at the hospital where I delivered was full, and she had to be transferred to Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego. My husband left immediately to be with her, and within a day and a half, I found myself alone, freshly postpartum, running on no sleep, with no money and very limited support. By the time I was finally reunited with my baby, I was completely drained--physically, emotionally, and financially. Walking into Ronald McDonald House was like walking into a safe haven. They had a hot dinner waiting, along with cold drinks, fresh coffee, and even dessert--all completely free for families like ours with children admitted to the NICU. Throughout our stay, we were provided with so much more than just meals. They had hot breakfasts, lunches, dinners, showers, laundry facilities, and even nap rooms for exhausted parents. These things might sound simple, but when you're living at the hospital with your child, they are life-changing. Without these resources, our time in the hospital would have broken us--especially since I had already been admitted for a week prior due to preeclampsia. The kindness, generosity, and compassion we experienced from both the staff and volunteers were unforgettable. They didn't just provide meals or a place to rest--they provided comfort, dignity, and a reminder that we weren't alone during the scariest time of our lives. After seeing firsthand the impact Ronald McDonald House has on families, it has become the number one organization we donate to and support. Their mission is powerful, their impact is real, and I am forever grateful that they were there for us when we needed it most. If anyone is considering supporting an organization that truly changes lives, I cannot recommend Ronald McDonald House Charities enough. They go above and beyond for families in their darkest moments, and my family will always hold them close to our hearts.

Use caution when waiting and follow the directions of the staff carefully. The food provided is free of charge when you qualify.

Once you check in, they ask for your last name and you enter the room and sit there for the brief orientation. The day I came to volunteer, they started about 15-20 minutes late. This volunteer shift was only 2 hours. It was an assembly line and it was a lot of fun but very very fast pace. I appreciate the big fan because it got hot quick. I did get a cut on my finger and was able to take a short break to put a band aid on it. Everyone there was nice. Once the volunteer shift is done, they will tell you how many boxes of food was filled. And that day, we did 600 boxes! Whenever I'm back in town, I will volunteer again!
