Conway has had its issues over the past few years. Because of that quality has suffered. The staff is friendly and as attentive as they can be but food is lacking. We went there for a quick dinner ride a couple days ago. I ordered the club sandwich and French fries which was excellent. I couldn't eat it all. Mrs Billy D ordered fish n chips and it was dismal. The fish portions were thin as cardboard with I don't know what kind of batter. It was shameful for a Pacific Northwest pub where there are literally hundreds of options out there. I also noticed every burger on the menu was well over $20. When did it become acceptable to charge that kind of money for less than a half pound of meat and some condiments? Our server was funny and friendly and the place was clean. It didn't smell like stale beer and broken dreams in there at least. read more

This little pub in Conway definitely has its own vibe. From the outside it looks like a biker joint, but inside it's friendly, relaxed, and full of local character. The baked oysters are the main attraction and probably the reason to come here but I wasn't in the mood during this visit. The rest of the menu is classic bar food: burgers, fries, baskets, and the usual fried comfort bites. Everything is tasty, but nothing too fancy. The one downside is the prices. For what you get, the food can feel a bit overpriced, especially if you're not ordering the oysters. Still, if you're in the area and want a laid-back spot with good drinks and a signature dish, it's worth checking out at least once. read more

Stopped in to introduce someone to oysters and oyster shooters. I really liked this place when I came through on the motorcycle during the oyster run... won't be rushing back to this again. Memory was better. Maybe again during oyster run. She did enjoy the martini though.. read more

My husband found this place via Facebook and the burgers & steak fries looked fabulous! We decided to make the hour + drive South to try them and we were somewhat disappointed. It could be a sweet dive bar if it had a cooler vibe. The music was a nice mix but it was spotty-lots of "dead air". The Beer Board is hidden behind a support pole and our server didn't seem too interested in telling us what was on tap so we picked one that I could see easily. We ordered the pickles to start and the Bacon Cheeseburger for the hubs & the Cod & Fries for me. The pickles were not fresh made but OK. The BIG Burger came with a knife, but in a basket that made it hard to cut in half. My Cod was not fresh fillets breaded in a batter. They were like the premade chicken fingers and three small pieces with warm fries. This is the first place we've eaten at up here that DID NOT have fresh cod fillets and that was disappointing. The coleslaw was boring, just mayo. But no one can really make good coleslaw up here. Overall, the entire experience didn't warrant an $84 lunch check before the tip. I did tip a little "heavy" but it was not earned by our server. I don't think we will be back. read more

Came for the Oysters a couple weeks ago. I love Oysters on the half shell and assumed the shooters would be similar. They were HUGE! Not sure I've ever had oysters that big. They tasted fine, but I struggled to get over the overall space they occupied while trying to consume them. The cider they had on tap was good. Staff was generally polite. Overall, it was a meh for me. I'm glad we went, but it won't be on my list of must go to again next time I'm in the area. I know others in our group enjoyed their meals. read more

Amazing Food & Great Atmosphere! We loved Conway's Pub so much that we came two days in a row! Everything about this place is top-notch--the food, the atmosphere, and the people. The Blue Burger was massive and packed with flavor, and the Reuben? Hands down, the best I've ever had. The rye bread was spot-on, and they didn't skimp on the corned beef--it was piled high and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is Dive Bar but warm, welcoming, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The owners are incredibly kind and make sure everything is just right. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests. Highly recommend this spot if you're in the area. We'll definitely be back! read more

Tried this after reports of new owners. Food was good, cleanliness was better than the past. The atmosphere was good but boy oh boy were they understaffed and sooo slow. A drink was 25 minutes and lunch was a 2 hour process from arrival to departure. This is an iconic stop for many and the new owners have a chance to restore it back to a "must stop" but to do so they need to ensure it's staffed well or it will be a one and done. Invest Conway pub.... The area wants you to support your recovery to your glory days. read more

Have been here multiple times and can say this place has amazing food. Absolutely love the loaded tater tots and their fried jalapeno poppers are just as good if not better, always love the portion size of the food you get what you paid for and some lol. If you had to vote for a "Best Small Town Bar" award then your number 1 choice would be Conway Pub and Eatery. I stopped by for a quick drink and some take out food. Ordered two burgers with fries and it was delicious. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. There are well places tvs and a good menu options. You can tell this place take good care of their regulars and the local community but also friendly to those stopping through town. Can't wait to come back and actually dine in. However, if you need a take out spot, I also recommend making this one of your go to options. read more

We were so hungry after spending the entire day in traffic trying to see the tulip fields. This was the only place nearby that was still open. When we got there around 7pm, they told us food would be late since there was only one cook available. They said it would take an hour, but we did order and got some mozzarella squares in about a half hour. My friends ordered taco salads and I ordered a chicken burger with curly fries. It took about another 30 minutes after getting the appetizer to get our meals. The chicken burger was tasty, but they gave me just a small amount of the wrong fries and no one ever came back to check how our meals were until an hour later! It was fairly loud and cold outside, but I did like that you could sit outside when the weather is good. Not sure if I would go here again, but maybe if they had more workers the service would be quicker. read more

we have eaten here for over 20 years-- we have had some of the best ever fried chicken and some of the best salads and burgers!!! it some times was an up and down experience but we were willing and happy to go back year after year----- then it started its slide --very slow at first then after covid it just never came back to its fantastic food-- and it was always about the food!-- and the out side garden--- when we went for t he last time a few years back the kids running around the beer garden was a done deal for us ---And the food was terrible!! We couldn't tell who was working and who was customers -- one of the servers had their children playing in the beer garden--- Now after following the up and down reviews and {much drama} we read more then one positive review ----today june 5th with the weather being beautiful we decided to "risk" going again---- man o man we are so glad we did--------- the service was fantastic-- we ordered sparingly incase the food was poor-----------AND it was not! we are so glad we went and this will again be on our go out to eat places again. I've heard a lot about how good the food is at Conway Pub but never went until now. Due to some recent wind storms I was without power for a few hours and this place was one of the few places still operating. You can imagine they would be busy, and they were! Considering this fact, they were patient with me while making my telephone order, greeted me when I arrived, let me know there would be a short wait (I arrived earlier than quoted so the food was on time), and was great communicating with each other to make sure I was taken care. Very impressed and hope to be back to enjoy their outdoor patio and try some other foods. I ordered the rueben with fries, which really was fantastic. This is not the deli sliced corned beef it is chunks of meat, a little sweet, smothered with sauerkraut, cheese and dressing. The rye bread was well grilled which is good for me but may be more than some like. The fries were good, not too greasy and stayed crispy on the few minutes back home. I did ask for tartar sauce with them which i did not get however there may have been some confusion on the phone when I ordered. Definitely recommend and will be back again. read more

So the last visit we made we had very sad burgers, lacking any sort of good flavor, over cooked patties and dry hard bacon, did not enjoy them. Today we thought we'd give them another chance. My Brother & I ordered up the fish & chips, my fish were dripping oil & I was not going to eat them, Brother stripped the breading off finding uncooked dough inside, just gross. For $18.99 you'd think it would be much better, I was charged $8.99 for my fries which I found to be just silly. I will not be returning. I believe the establishment has changed owners and it's just gone downhill from that point on, kind of sad, as this place was pretty good not that long ago. read more

Cute place to go for a drink but I couldn't review the food. Came in and was greeted and told to pick a seat anywhere. We waited for 30 minutes before a server even brought us a menu. We ordered a drink and when it was delivered we were told there was a 45 minute wait for food. If we weren't going somewhere after it might have been fine but we were. They were short staffed but seriously? A half hour to even acknowledge a customer? I will go somewhere else next time. read more

Where to start.....my first time in Washington and this place has it all!!! Great food, GREAT SERVICE, super fun atmosphere!!! I ate here for lunch, and supper twice...it was that GOOD!!! It is my firm belief that the sign is true, they really do have the best pan fried oysters this side of the Mississippi...breaded and seasoned to perfection. I've frequented the Conway Pub (aka Conway Tavern) many times since I've moved to this neck of the woods. Other than the outdoor area and some minor face-lift work, I don't think it's ever seen large scale improvements. Don't let this fool you. The menu may be small, but the pub is packed with tasty stuff. This time around I tried out their Western Burger (I'm not a fan of BBQ sauce poured on my burgers) but I'm glad I did. My favorite, a charbroiled patty! I'm a huge fan of sliced ham on my burger. It came piled so high with stuff I had to pull half the veggie toppings off just to make it manageable with two hands! I chose onion rings as my side and really enjoyed them, even though they weren't made in-house. My wife opted for the shrimp basket and though I didn't take a photo, it had a goodly portion of shrimp piled up. The shrimp was pretty good. We had differing opinions on the tartar sauce. I thought it was interesting but my wife thought my homemade sauce is better. Our server was great, she recognized us from one of our other haunts she used to work at. Was told to go here. The gentleman was nice when we walked in and we could sit anywhere. Then the problems start, we waited about 20 minutes then went up and grabbed the menu from the bar, about 40 minutes in the waitress came up and asked us for our drinks and we ordered at the same time 2 cheeseburgers.... Another 40 minutes still no food! A very large table that came in after us ordered after us got their food! Finally after an hour and 40 minutes we just left! I went in for some fried oysters in the middle of the afternoon and was the only one in there at that time. It took the server a while to bring me a menu because she was so busy talking to another server. I ordered the oyster basket and had a bit of a wait but not a big deal. After she brought the oyster basket I had to ask for utensils and a napkin. The oysters looked like larger oysters had been cut into smaller pieces, breaded and fried. They were about the size of half my little finger. They were such little pieces that I couldn't even taste the oysters just the breading. The Cole slaw was pretty sad too. But, the silver lining was the fries, they were awesome! Today I looked at my credit card statement and to top it off the tip I left was changed to more money than I had given. So if you want to pay $24 for a good basket of fries and have your bill added to then this is your place. I gave the place one star because the fries were so good.
