Friendly service, good food and a nice tap selection make Pub 282 my go-to on Camano. The pizza is quite good here, they make a decent sandwich too, and I love that their salads aren't full of brown lettuce or topped with just pizza ingredients. The dressings are good - try the vinaigrette. The vibe is family friendly, somewhere between restaurant and performance space, with a stage in one corner where they host occasional live music, bingo and trivia nights. They have a full bar, with mostly mid-shelf offerings. There's a huckleberry cocktail that's a standout, for sure. I love that they almost always have a dark beer on nitro tap, like Old Rasputin or Guinness. Sooo good with pizza! Missing star for occasional cleanliness issues and some chairs and tables in need of repair. Once they get this dialed in, it should be great! If they get a pool table, they might never get rid of us...as it is, no bar games except one of those grabby claw beanie baby prize dispensers. It's a work in progress, I feel. But I dig it here. Went kind of late on a Friday night. I got the "tea" it was good and a little heavy but that's alright! Ordered tots and the French dip. Also got the Mac n cheese, it was really good! Overall cute spot, drove by Saturday night and they had a live band. Staff was super friendly and sweet. read more

Love their thin crust pizza. Their Cama beach pizza is essentially a combo and its a family favorite on the island! Service is always great when we are there and they have music on friday nights! Its definitely a good time there but you should go early to get a seat, otherwise you'll be standing around for a while. Music nights are popular :) read more

This place is a joke. I stopped in Saturday for lunch, sat myself and waited for service, I swear to god I couldn't tell staff from customers. After some time waiting I walked next door, it was like night and day. I recommend you visit any other establishment! New to the area and popped into this spot, and glad I did! Ordered a pizza called the Cama Beach which essentially is a combo pizza. I ordered it on thin crust and although that wasn't an option, they accommodated my request. Best pizza on the island so far! Ordered the hubby a prime rib dip with tots and although the prime rib dip was not bad, it was not near as good as the one we love at tapped! The tots were a bit soggy by the time I got it home (10 min drive), a quick pop in the air fryer did the trick. The server recommended the fries so I ordered some to go and they were delish! The server taking my order was really sweet and hospitable. For a pub, it was super clean and completely smoke free! Hubby and I will be back to try out some beers for sure! read more

We went here because I have bad food allergies and have to eat Vegan, not by choice, and their website claimed they had beyond burgers. They do not have those anymore. The staff was very nice in trying to find something that would work for my needs but really nothing on the menu is vegan so if that is what you are looking for pass on this. My husband ordered food to go and he enjoyed his burger and tots! I think they should update their menu though so no one comes looking for veggie burgers. read more

DISGUSTING I ordered the prime rib dip, the meat was all fat, there was no flavor whatsoever, the meat resembled canned cat food , the auju was pretty much water with no flavor. Went in last night to catch game seven of Stanley Cup playoffs. Tv was on with no volume. My husband and I ordered a beer and waited as we watched our nice cold beers sit at the bar. Finally as our waiter cruised by I asked him to bring them over. We ordered the prime rib sliders with fries off of the happy hour menu. After about half hour they came. The sliders were good, horseradish blew our socks off meaning it was perfect! The fries were good. Right before happy hour ended we ordered another round with another order of sliders and fries. 50 minutes later our order came with raw fries! We called the waiter over and asked him to get us new fries. After finishing our sliders with no evidence of fries ever coming we paid our bill and left. I have lived on Camano for 25 years. I never thought I would have a preferred destination restaurant here. The grilled wild salmon wrap with fries will keep me coming back. The service, when you do get it is very friendly but they are understaffed I believe on these nights, so sometimes it's hard to get what you want. Patience is a virtue. Really wanted to like this place but just can not. We came in on a Saturday night, family of 4. The place was packed. Some worker approached us and told us that they didn't have any seating except outside and we probably didn't want that (since it was cold and we had two kids). We thought it was weird because, unlike most restaurants, you would go in and wait for a table but it almost felt kind of like he was quick to let us go. As we turned around (literally we were outside already, he yelled a table opened up It was the weirdest thing. Anyway, we decided to stay and our server was really friendly. However, everything was so slow! It took about 10 minutes or so after we sat before we got our drink orders taken. Then it took a long time to get our beers and water. Then longer to get our food. My daughter kept saying "mom is was light out when we got here and now it's dark". She wasn't wrong. The food was "ok" .. kind of expecting more because it seems like it was a fan favorite. I got the wings and fries, my husband got the burger and tots, and my daughter got the pizza. Overall, not my favorite dining experience and it wouldn't be my first choice when we come up to Camano Island. It's definitely a locals hang out place. read more

Great and consistent place. Not a 5 star establishment it's not what they are or want to be. They are the best oocal neughborhood bar for those days you're looking for a relaxing vibe and maybe a game, a show or great conversation at the bar. Filled with regulars, bring a friendly vibe and down to earth attitude and you wont br disappointed. They have live music most Fridays and sometimes twice a week. Check their website, and get to an evening of fun music and dancing. You can sit inside or out pretty much all year round with their outdoor heaters. I am visiting the island for a few weeks and got some suggestions on things to do. It was a Friday night with live music and the place was not very busy, although other times I've been past it has been. They have a lot of different events including a comedy night. I had the Porky Burger, which is a lot of meat on one sandwich. It is a burger topped with pulled pork, bacon jam, and their own bistro sauce. It was good, but be prepared on how filling it is. First things first: The food here at Pub 282 is FANTASTIC! Menus here are collaboratively handcrafted amongst the staff - how cool is that?! Everyone gets a say for the specials of the month. I ordered the side Caesar salad (one of the best side salads I've had!) and the Siracha bacon Mac n cheese burger - insanely delicious. I definitely brought most of it home. Husband got the California Chicken Wrap and our friend got the Cali On Burger. So so so full of yum! Second, this establishment does SO MUCH for their community! The staff here is so friendly and giving. They partake in helping with their Little Food Pantry, donating money to rescue shelters and the needy, and a zillion other things! I have given 282 so many opportunities, but something during covid has wrecked them. While we know staffing and supply chain issues have hurt all service industry businesses, they seem to have been hit the hardest. My literal last 5 different visits have been left with what I can only describe to people as "someone in the kitchen had a vendetta against me" quality of food. The quality of what has left a cooks hands, the person at a pass and then a server and still delivered to a customer is shocking to say the least. Came here for lunch while picking up some things in the area. We ordered the Mabana pizza. It was absolutely massive and was more than enough food for my husband and I. Also delicious. The place is brightly lit and they have 12 beers & ciders on top with even more in cans and bottles. Servers were all super friendly. Excellent ambience and the decor feels fresh, clean, and welcoming. Clientele seem to be of all ages. Was really surprised not to see a higher Yelp review. what the heck is going on at Pub 282? Ever since the new owners took over, the place is dead and is nothing like it was before. Before it didn't matter if a band was playing or not, they stayed open until 10:00pm, they now close at 9:00pm unless there's a ban playing - which is Friday and Saturday only now. It used to be the only place on the island you could go to after 9:30 for a cocktail. You can't find a manager at any time you go on there; there is never one around. The bar stools are getting ready to break; a few of them are not safe to sit on. It feels like they don't want to succeed for some reason. It used to be a fun place to go to on the Island - not any more. With the exception of a few wonderful people who work there, it doesn't seem like the others who work there really don't care. It would be great if they could get it back to the way it was Or make it better than it was. Right now it gets a much deserved failing grade read more

Pub 282 has been open for quite a while but this was my first visit there. I've seen some lukewarm reviews of the place but thought we would try it. Mama wanted a drink and I heard they had decent pizza so we gave it a whirl. We arrived just as the late happy hour began at 8pm. The space was clean and uncluttered. There is a stage in one corner for live music and the bar is toward the back. There are many selections for beer and they have a drink menu. It wasn't crowded on a Monday night so we picked a table so we could watch the baseball game on one of the giant TV's. The server was friendly and efficient and she was balancing her side work nicely with the needs of the patrons. We ordered a pizza and were given the option of thin crust or regular. We chose regular and I'm glad we did because it ended up being what I consider thin crust. The pizza had ample toppings and I noticed there were several options of toppings and the menu had all the pizzas named with Camano-esque titles. We chose the Cama Beach. It had pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, red onion, some other stuff I can't recall, and cheese. The sauce wasn't too overwhelming which I appreciated. The 16 inch was $22. Not bad for a local pie and certainly cheaper than a comparable pizza at the place down the street (BB). I just need to mention Mrs Billy D raved about her Margarita. I did not taste it but she had two . All in all I was pleasantly surprised by Pub 282. I would go back for sure. Definitely would order a pie to go! read more

This was our first time going to Pub 282 and it was absolutely great! The restaurant was well-staffed, and our waiter, Dylan, came to our table about 20 seconds after we sat down. He was attentive and helpful throughout the evening, and even the servers who weren't at our table were friendly and nice to us, and the place was jam-packed with customers! We went there for the music and had no expectations about the venue, but gosh, were we impressed! We both ordered the prime rib dip with tater tots - they arrived hot and perfect, with a side of really really good horsereadish sauce. Our food and our drinks came quickly every time without fail.
