CookOut Boone The fastest Drive-thru experience, we got 2 milkshakes, a double chocolate and peanut butter fudge and a hotdog. Amazing speed service The milkshakes consistency is perfect and delicious also the hotdog is filled with maximum toppings. We should get more of these often!! 1179 Blowing Rock Rd, Boone, NC 28607 daily 10.30AM - 3.30PM Fri-Sat 10.30AM - 4.30PM between $1-$10 per person ℹ cookout.com #cookout #cookoutboonenc #preservefootprints

    Menu!

Great service and good every time. I added an updated menu and prices. I love the CheerWine

Great food! I would consider myself a cookout regular and this is some of the best tonight!

This is a rat poop looking thing in my drink

We got 3 milk shakes and they all had pieces of Styrofoam in them that we chew on. The other one had like a rat shit looking hard piece in it. Very unappetizing don't recommend

    Chicken bone

Not bad if you area into Dairy Queen. Very inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. every tasted good, I got the 5.25 meal. Seems to be the local kid hangout. I also got a chocolate milk shake, one of the best I ever had. You can't sit and eat there, so either do the drive through or be prepared to eat standing up. I will go back but with different expectations, basically fast food

a burrito wrapped in tin foil

Ordered a Buffalo chicken wrap and I opened it there was a full piece of hair in it sticking out

*updating to 4 stars! I meant to do this originally. The only thing that docked a star for me was seating and seasoning on the burger :) My brother in law recommended we try this spot out and we were excited about the concept. You can order what's called a "tray" and they are only five bucks. It comes with an entree and two sides as well as drink. You can upgrade your drink to a milk shake for a buck which we did. I got the quarter pound burger with bacon cheese lettuce and mayo, and onion rings and cole slaw. Over all it was pretty good! The milk shake was amazing - I opted for peanut butter fudge. They had a lot of really great options for milkshakes. I wish the burger had better seasoning. I do like that it was better than fast food quality. I got a side of the Cookout Sauce to dip my onion rings in and it was so good! I ended up using the rest for my sandwich. This place isn't somewhere you eat inside. You can drive through or walk up and order. The service was quick and they were busy. My only complaint is that they had benches but no tables. I learned this is the norm for Cookouts but it would have been nice to eat inside rather than our car. We would come

Hush puppies: Duh, yes please. (I mean NO ONE else does drive through hushpuppies!) Mint chocolate chip shake: Who can say no? (Best Drive-Thru shake you'll ever have with that many options) Two drive through lines: You are so kind! (All the better to wrangle the riled up onslaught of college hormones) Open late: How did you know I would need you so?! (Suck it Mcy D's) In n Out, please meet Cook Out, your almost-as-good-looking southern cousin. Let's all be friends and call each other Sue!!

But I wiggled my vehicle into a tight spot and went in for a burger and a beer. I believe there were about 10 to 12 options available on tap, and I went with what was listed as an Irish stout from somewhere in the Northeast. It wasn't bad, though it seemed more like an imperial stout. My sandwich choice was the Cowboy, with ground elk at its core. It was a good choice too, and the accompanying fried onions and melted cheese complemented the meat well. I ordered the burger medium, but I think I'd go for medium rare if I could go back in time. The medium option wasn't bad, but I think a little less heat and a little more moisture would only make things better. I kept things simple with the side item, going for the fries which were of the thinly sliced McDonald's variety, not bad but nothing remarkable. The server covering my table was pleasant and prompt, though soft spoken so I occasionally had to ask her to repeat herself amidst the music and noise. I wouldn't call any of these selections a bargain, but the prices didn't veer too far from what you'll find in many burger joints. All in all, not an earthshaking experience, but a place I'd be willing to go back to. 3.5 stars.

We started with the pickled board, and it was just fun. A little bit of everything: pickled veggies, cucumbers with those pretty curls of onion, pimento cheese, bread, pork rinds, a little tomato jam. It felt like a Southern snack platter put together by someone who actually cares about balance and flavor. I ordered the pickled salad with chicken, and it was right up my alley. Fresh greens, great textures, pops of color, and the chicken was nicely seasoned and grilled. The dressing had that bright, tart thing going on that makes you want more of it. I would absolutely get this again. My husband got the Cassie salad, and while he said it was "fine," even he admitted everything was fresh and well done. The vibe here is relaxed, cozy, a little rustic, the kind of place that feels local in the best way. For a casual lunch in Boone, it hits the spot. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

There are several in the area so it really was a blind choice tk end up here. I like the atmosphere here. Reminds me of the bars up north. Rustic bar with a dining area of tables and chairs. And of course patio seating for those who enjoy eating outside or bring their dog with them. Our server was the bartender. She said early Saturdays weren't always busy and that's why she was alone. She was very friendly and efficient. Typical bar food but some with extra flair. A salmon sandwich. Burgers and chicken sandwiches kicked up a bit. A good variety and interesting choices. NOTE: They DO have allergy protocols in place. Make sure you tell your server if you have any allergies. Nice to see restaurants doing this. I ordered the cheesesteak all the way with max n cheese. There are several sides to choose from. Wife got the VooDoo chicken sandwich and fries. She said it was excellent. Mae got the Mountain of Nachos with chicken. All the food was excellent. The nachos could sleazily feed 3 hungry adults. Just be aware if you order it. It's massive. Love the atmosphere, food and service. Will definitely go back when we visit Boone. $41 + tip for three good lunches. I don't mind paying for good food and service. Give them a try.

Like, actual disgusting racism happening right in front of everyone, and the staff couldn't care less. He saw this Latino guy just trying to grab a drink at the bar, and this group of white women just absolutely went off on him. They were screaming slurs and calling him the most terrible names. It wasn't a joke or a misunderstanding; it was blatant, sickening, targeted hate speech. This is Boone, right? It's supposed to be chill, but apparently, not at this place. My boyfriend immediately went to the bouncer--the guy who's supposed to keep things safe--and told him exactly what was happening. And the bouncer's official response? He said he couldn't do anything. Seriously?! A grown man is being harassed with racial slurs, and your security just shrugs and walks away? That's not just unprofessional; that's actively letting racism happen on your property. It's like they're totally cool with it. I am livid. My friends and I are DONE with Elevation 3333. No way are we giving business to a place that allows blatant disrespect and racism to run wild and then won't lift a finger to stop it. This is beyond gross. Spread the word--if they let this kind of stuff happen, they don't deserve our money.

They have a good variety of breakfast items including plates, sandwiches, pancakes, etc. It wasn't too busy and they have nice outdoor seating if you catch the weather just right. The wait team worked together-it seemed like they worked in sections rather than having one person focus on one table at a time and they seemed to have a good working relationship. I found the food was very well seasoned, portions were good sized, and it all arrived hot. The home fries were great-perfectly seasoned and crisped. I would definitely visit again.

"How?!?" you may ask. Well, I think it's because the loaded biscuits have local Ashe County cheese baked right into it. Oh my gosh, it's so good. I am a bacon and egg kind of girl so that's what you'll find me ordering, along with the local Fire on the Mountain hot sauce on top. Note: eggs perfectly cooked, bacon thick and crispy, and hot sauce adds enough flavor but does not burn your mouth.
