Surprise! Surprise! After trying several fast food drive through restaurants this one was the best! The chicken was hot,crispy and yummy. It was also the most reasonably priced meal so far. Included in our meal was two pieces of chicken, a biscuit, a side, a cookie and a drink. I had delicious Mac n cheese and my favorite sweet tea. My husbands enjoyed his side of cole slaw. We will definitely return for another meal. read more

This place is weird and incompetent. I asked for wings. They said wings are $3 a piece and they sell them just like thighs or drumsticks. So I abandoned the wings and asked for 2 thighs. They said the best deal was the combo. I didn't want a drink or side but said ok. Corn and tea. Then I also ordered a famous bowl. Upon driving around to the window, there's a big sign that says managers special: 10 wings for $5.99. I told the guy, "That's what I want". He said "The manager's not here so I can't ring that up". I said "So the manager has to be on site for you to sell that?" He said "No. But I can't key it in". I said "That's weird". He said "We're weird. Have a weird night. Bye". Funny but, doesn't seem right. Why advertise it? Also, the girl that rang me up asked if I wanted any sauces or condiments. I said "I'll take some butter and salt for my corn". She said "We don't have any butter (weird) but I'll give you salt." So I get back to the hotel: No butter (at least she told me) No salt One thigh, one drumstick (yuk) No utensils (I ordered a bowl, duh) No napkins Incompetent and weird. First time I've been to this location in over a year. The dining room was open and was clean and pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately I decided to try something new, KFC chicken sandwich. The service was quick but the sandwich was poor. It did come out hot but the bun was cold and covered in mayonnaise. The piece of chicken was over done, dry and very bland. I would recommend that they stick with a proven product-the bone in chicken. read more

Cashier at drive thru was EXTREMELY rude this evening. I've been a few times to this location and honestly the bar for fast food in Boone is not super high. Every other experience here has been GREAT. The workers have been friendly and the food is what you'd expect. I'm not going to explain in detail what happened today as I don't want spit in my food for the rest of my adventures in Boone. I will say though - my sandwich was good but I couldn't eat my fries. HUGE BUMMER as the fries are the best part. They were the crusty ones I literally couldn't bite through them because they were so hard. I give a 3 because they were better in the past and I was always excited to eat here (on Sundays when Chick Fil a is closed). But today - disappointing. read more

holy moly, kfc! what in the world happened to your chicken?! i felt like i was trying to chew through a tire! it was dryer than the sahara desert on a hot summer day! and the gravy? i'm not sure if it was gravy or water from a leaky roof! it vanished faster than my hopes of having a tasty meal! the mashed potatoes were so lumpy, i thought i was eating the rocky mountains! the coleslaw? well, it's as exciting as watching paint dry! and the service? let's just say it was slower than a snail running a marathon! but hey, at least the fries were decent, so i'll give you that. kfc, you've got some work to do if you want to keep your chicken crown! maybe add a dash of flavor and a sprinkle of quality? just a thought! read more

GENERAL MANAGER ARGUES WITH CUSTOMER! We placed an order last Friday online and didn't get the 2 chicken breasts we ordered and the 20 biscuits either. When I called the manager she told me that I can either ask for a refund online or she could put it in "the book" that they owed us 20 biscuits and 2 chicken breasts. I was taking this order in the opposite direction of Boone and we live 30 minutes outside of Boone, so I didn't have time to go back and pick up the missing items, or go online and get a refund. I told her to please put it in the book. When my husband went to pick it up today, Monday, along with ordering more items, the GENERAL MANAGER argued with him and told him it was his fault the bag was there.... My husband asked her to pull up the video as they have cameras, that there was only one bag there. She wouldn't!! She said the manger who told us about the book was new. He said well that's what he was told and she needed to honor it. He had to talk to her for 30 minutes before she would get him his order. She didn't look at the book either, so I paid for chicken breasts and didn't receive them. This is just poor business and not professional on her part. My husband is an executive and would never say something he can't back up. This isn't the first time this KFC has made a mistake either.... It's just the first time we called and complained. And then what you get .... is an argument with a GENERAL MANAGER! This is why this restaurant is making mistakes. It all starts with management. read more

Their were 3 of us and absolutely no one inside, we order 3 5 dollar fill up meals and 10 min later an employee comes to us saying they forgot our order.....keep in mind no one is here except us so it took them another 10 min to give us our food with no apology for the inconvenience! The employees here value their jobs and have extreme focus on customer service and care. The people I worked with love their customers and are really hard workers. Robin, Ivy, Sam, Joanne, Jim, Caleb, Robin and others I worked here with these employees and enjoyed helping people especially when the elderly order and to come and go from the building when they were on their own, I loved helping them in and out. We've had customers that cannot speak English and amazingly we figure out what they want with a smile and a thank you. The District Management and above do not care at all about anything going on in their restaurants unless it brought to their attention by lower management or employees. Broken appliances are acceptable as a normal working environment, full systems are left broken for months. The crew makes do and work double time to adhere to food safety standards to make up for the lack of resources. They expect their employees to adhere to impossible standards. The district manager actually took required classes for employees to make his numbers look better than they actually were. He took mine, never did it myself (My pot pie class that I went to take it online but was done, but not by me. It all has to be captured on security surveillance and if upper management wants to verify these accusations they can. This is a health safety infraction that is never called out. Awful. Luckily the workers care so much that everything is done correctly under duress. Additionally my first interactions with upper management and a facility maintenance repairer were interpreted by be as being biased because of my state of birth. I'm form the "North" and was told You have to be a Kennedy Lover" and told "Your accent (Northern) is "killing me"! Nice I thought the Civil war was over. I served my country for over 22 years in the Army and was able to embrace every nationality, race and religion and birth of origin with no problem or prejudice, but one afternoon at KFC was insulted two times. The Board of Health Manager came in for his inspection too. I did over hear him complaining about people form the North about the weather and I did strike up a conversation with him after he was complaining to the dishwasher about northern people's driving skills. I think this a complaint that is 100% hostile and my state or origin should have never have mattered and these insults were and are an infraction. Not unlike the attitude I Received when I was told I was I bet you are a Kennedy Lover and that My accet was killing the District manager! read more
