We just went to the Cookout in Dalton. I would give it 5 stars. The young lady who took my orders was extremely nice and dressed nice. The burger, fries and onion fingers were hot and delicious! The burgers there where too dry like the restaurant itself then how it was and the location it's very bland

I was expecting to have at least a bad service experience because of the reviews but honestly, the girl who took our order was very nice especially considering that we had never been there before and were being a bit indecisive. The food came out relatively quickly, my daughter got 2 corn dogs with fries and a bacon wrap with a mint chip shake, I got a double burger with fries, onion rings and a reeses shake, and my husband got a hot dog and a peanut butter fudge shake.. The hot dog, corn dogs and burgers were delicious. My favorite 'fast food' burger so far. The fries were ok, I missed the part that you could get them 'cajun' which probably would have made them better. But this is a personal opinion because I like thin really crisp fries. The shakes were delicious, peanut butter fudge being the best of the bunch, the problem is that they werent ready to drink till well after we had finished our meals. They were CRAZY thick, which I know most people love, but I like to drink it as I eat and it just wasnt possible. Could have eaten it with a spoon as a blizzard when we first got it. I will def be back I will most likely just ask for them to make the shake a little thinner and add cajun to the fries. Otherwise we all really enjoyed it. Also. Christian music on the radio. I ordered two plates for two people and Asked for ketchup and they hand us ONE of these. Not even half full. Had to go back in to get more, couldn't go through the drive-thru without waiting another 20 minutes. Pretty wasteful to me. read more

Ordered our food at 1:10 in the drive thru.. cut to 15 minutes later we FINALLY get our order and guess what it is wrong, so wrong that I suspect we got someone else's order in entirety. It's now 25 minutes since we ordered and my husband has been inside 10+ minutes already waiting on our actual order. This is ridiculous!! Never eating here again. Management needs to spend some serious time at this restaurant because I have been to cookouts all over, even in college towns and they are quick and accurate. This cookout needs to be shut down and given some TLC! There were 3 other people inside who also were given incorrect orders as well! This seems to be a pattern!! read more

The burgers are flame broiled, they have an awesome taste. The French fries are crisp even after a few minutes, the serving of fries is generous as well. The servers are friendly and sharp. It was crowded, but the wait was under 3 minutes. I sat outside where there's a couple of tables and even that was good. Cook out is one of my favorite places to go in any location. The food quality is great and the price is even better. This cookout would have received 5 stars if the restroom had been more cared for. It wasn't unusable but not top notch either. There was also an employee in the back yelling at another employee. They were joking around but I'm more of a professional person who doesn't care for people who are supposed to be cooking my food displaying nuisance behavior. That prob makes me a stick in the mud but that also brought it down to a four star. read more

Worst experience at any Cook Out location. Something seriously needs to be done regarding the speed of service and order accuracy. I've been here multiple times and they have been slow every time. But this time I waited 15 minutes in the drive thru for a burger and fries, when I finally got my food it was a chicken sandwich and onion rings. I went back in and waited another 15 minutes for them to remake my order. I received one apology from a girl that didn't even take my order, and no other compensation. I will not be back there any time soon. I do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Worst costumer service I've ever had ever. Have been three times and every time at the window I get rude remarks and treated like crap for no reason. I never give an attitude or a complicated order but I get treated with no respect. This will be the last time I'll ever go to the cookout in Calhoun. We tried this place last Friday evening. The concept seems to target the diner that wants a little better experience than a straight fast food restaurant. That being said I have a couple of issues that had me wondering, should this be a 4 or a 3 star rating. First off the food is okay, nothing I saw or tried was terrific. Solid looking burgers and the chicken sandwich was good. Nothing to start throwing babies in the air but tasty. The fries were over-salted to the point of being virtually inedible. That's a shame because the fries were done right. What is it with fry cooks and their damn salt shaker? Why sweat over a hot fryer and then kill your product with the shaker? That brings me to the shakes. The definite star. Forty flavors all sounding good. The one I had was top notch. The shakes are recommended. The price point is extremely reasonable. It's a nice way to feed the family without pulling a Brinks Truck heist on the way there. My last gripe is that everything is served in styrofoam clamshells. Okay if it's takeout but do we really need to add to the landfill if we're eating in?Overall a nice experience. A good place to go, not spend a fortune and have a comfortable meal. read more
