It's a hit and a miss at the same time. The miss-they are so freaking SLOW! Painfully slow. I don't know why this location hasn't worked out the kinks yet. Now, I've been to several Cookouts and never had a bad shake until I came to this one. I ordered a peanut butter fudge and the stir-ins were all at the bottom. When they opened, the customer service was amazing for the volume of business they had, it has steadily declined since then to the point that my last visit was just that. My LAST visit. They lost my order and then I dealt with attitude while they SLOWLY filled it. The attitude was so nasty that when my food finally arrived I handed it back to them and left. I will never return there, and suggest that unless you want to deal with incompetent, immature, nasty people...you do the same. I tried to call to speak with a manager to complain. We were planning to hit Wendy's for a quick bite off the interstate, but they were closed. Cookout was next door, we'd never heard of it, so we decided to give it a try. If your expectations are sub-Wendy's as ours were, you're going to be pleasantly surprised. Food is good and they have good prices. All the bad reviews are mostly about the service which I tend to agree with. Go there when its not packed and you're good. The place is filled with high school aged kids behind the register and they can sometimes mess up orders but I personally never really had any issues. The shake flavor selection is so extensive its really hard to choose. But the favorite seems to be the watermelon shake served only during the summer months and it has fresh watermelon in it which is really refreshing. The trays are awesome! They are only 4.99 and you get a entre and two sides and a large drink or a huge tea or a shake for a little extra vut honestly you can't beat the price! I and my family were excited when Cookout opened in Morrow. The food is nothing spectacular, but it's good and affordable. At first, they had friendly service that could rival Chic-Fil-a. Now, however, it seems they are in competition with McDonald's to find the worst employees in Clayton County. At the counter this evening, I ordered a Snickers shake. The female cashier, whose forearm tattoos match the McDonald's motif, replied, "Who?" It's like a prison-to-work program is in full operation. I think the employees moonlight at Goodwill. I finally beat the crowds and made it to Cook Out in Morrow for lunch. They have a super deal. It is a 1/4 lb. burger, two small sides and a large drink for----$4.99, That's right. $4.99. It is one of the best deals around and it is enough grub to fill you up. You can also get a shake for $1 more. They have over 40 shake flavors. The burger is flame cooked and tastes great. The dining area is small. It has about 8-10 booths and 3 two-top tables. They cater more to takeout. The food came quickly. It took about 5 mins. I was worried about wait times because they were very busy at 11:30am. Give it a try, but beware of the crowds during normal lunch and dinner hours read more

I've been to plenty of cookouts and this one is the worst I've encountered. Their customer service sucks, and they can never seem to get your order right. Then instead of being willing to fix it they get an attitude and double charge you to get the item you originally ordered. Instead of fixing my item they dumped everything into a new box and gave it back to me. On top of everything, the food at this cookout is much worse than other cookouts I've been to. The food is pretty good if you are wanting cheap fast food. My husband and I ate for $12. We both got a hamburger- cookout style, corn dog, fries, and a drink. It was way too much food for me, but it was $5 for each meal. The burgers taste like something you would eat at your mother's house. Not gourmet. Just good. I got a 1/4 pound burger with bacon and cheese and it was to die for-Cooked to perfection. No red and it wasn't burned. Fries-these were the reel deal from potatoes, for my extra side I chose the bacon wrap (just because it had bacon in it). I was pleased with it. It was simply bacon lettuce and cheese in a tortilla. As I walked in the decor is really nice and it's matches with the restaurant title I liked it a lot.
