This location is like the others that I have been to. Clean, airy, bright (plenty of windows letting sunlight in). I have shopped at this location several times, staff is friendly, nice selection of cookware, dishes, glasses, silverware, cooking utensils, mixes, spices, etc. I have taken 2 cooking classes there. Including a class for Steak, Salad, Mousse. It was fun, and informative. Class was a little over 2 hours. We were taught by a renowned chef who walked us through every step in the process. See attached pictures, but in the end, we had a delicious meal prepared by all 4 of us at our station. We also got a discount to use that day on any items we purchased. In addition we were emailed the recipe and ingredient list, and a coupon on a future class. I recommend a class if you have time.

I'm glad I found out about the cooking classes when I just happened to be in the store. There was a schedule for that month posted on the back wall near the restrooms. I immediately wanted to take a baking class then ended up taking several classes like Knife Skills, Intro to Sushi, Delicious Dim Sum, Tamale Making just to name a few. When I was inside the store, the staff were always very friendly and helpful. The chefs were consistently amazing to learn from. They were great with walking the class through the steps and answering our questions at the same time. I loved their team approach...having us work in a group or in a pair depending on the capacity in the kitchen. An added bonus was taking the recipes home. I remember a few years back it was nice to sit down as a class, eat together and socialize; but nowadays, I noticed we've been taking our dishes home. I wonder if it recently went back to how it was originally. Anyway, I always had a fun time cooking, learning something new and meeting people. My real problem with the class I took is that the recipes we "cooked" were taken from cooking light and other websites. Our handout was nothing but a collection of printouts. I can do this myself and read a recipe for far less than 70.00 and it least it would be food I was interested in making! There are no recipes listed in the class description. Then I pulled the trigger on Chef Krong for my birthday. Best decision I made all year. Here's the thing nobody tells you about cooking classes: a good one isn't about the food, it's about what your kids walk away knowing. And let me tell you, my kids LEARNED. Real, actual hard skills. Not "we waved some seaweed around" skills. A week later they made a mountain of sushi entirely on their own. Unprompted. Voluntarily. If you've got kids, you know that's basically witchcraft. Chef Krong made the whole thing a hit. She's patient, she's a real teacher, and she turns your kitchen into the best restaurant in town for an evening. However, if you cannot locate a member of the staff for guidance, you maybe on your own. It would be helpful for a Store Directory to help you on your treasure hunt for your needed supplies. There is a large parking lot that can get congested. Watch for pedestrians that dart out into the crosswalk with too much confidence that all cars will stop and not look both ways before crossing. That is what contributes to the congestion. Checkout stations are well organized. Watch out for the racks of items designed for you to activate your impulse buying mode. Look ahead!!!
