This location is like the others that I have been to. Clean, airy, bright (plenty of windows letting sunlight in). I have shopped at this location several times, staff is friendly, nice selection of cookware, dishes, glasses, silverware, cooking utensils, mixes, spices, etc. I have taken 2 cooking classes there. Including a class for Steak, Salad, Mousse. It was fun, and informative. Class was a little over 2 hours. We were taught by a renowned chef who walked us through every step in the process. See attached pictures, but in the end, we had a delicious meal prepared by all 4 of us at our station. We also got a discount to use that day on any items we purchased. In addition we were emailed the recipe and ingredient list, and a coupon on a future class. I recommend a class if you have time.

I'm glad I found out about the cooking classes when I just happened to be in the store. There was a schedule for that month posted on the back wall near the restrooms. I immediately wanted to take a baking class then ended up taking several classes like Knife Skills, Intro to Sushi, Delicious Dim Sum, Tamale Making just to name a few. When I was inside the store, the staff were always very friendly and helpful. The chefs were consistently amazing to learn from. They were great with walking the class through the steps and answering our questions at the same time. I loved their team approach...having us work in a group or in a pair depending on the capacity in the kitchen. An added bonus was taking the recipes home. I remember a few years back it was nice to sit down as a class, eat together and socialize; but nowadays, I noticed we've been taking our dishes home. I wonder if it recently went back to how it was originally. Anyway, I always had a fun time cooking, learning something new and meeting people. Thank you Sur La Table for contributing to my cooking journey :-)

I hesitated on booking a cooking class for a long time. You know how it is. You stare at the price,…read moreyou do the math, you think "I could just go eat sushi." And that's where most people screw up, because eating out you can blow a pile of money and walk away with nothing but a receipt and a vague feeling you got hustled. Then I pulled the trigger on Chef Krong for my birthday. Best decision I made all year. Here's the thing nobody tells you about cooking classes: a good one isn't about the food, it's about what your kids walk away knowing. And let me tell you, my kids LEARNED. Real, actual hard skills. Not "we waved some seaweed around" skills. A week later they made a mountain of sushi entirely on their own. Unprompted. Voluntarily. If you've got kids, you know that's basically witchcraft. Chef Krong made the whole thing a hit. She's patient, she's a real teacher, and she turns your kitchen into the best restaurant in town for an evening. You bring her into your house and suddenly everybody's happy, everybody's involved, and you're eating better than any place that's gonna stick a $14 cocktail on your tab. Money well spent doesn't even cover it. This is one of those rare deals where you pay for something and it actually keeps paying you back. We are absolutely doing another session. Huge recommendation. Stop staring at the price. Book it.

I was extremely disappointed we didn't actually cook anything. Everyone was very nice but my expectations for a $100 + cooking class per person were not met considering we didn't cook anything. I was handed a packet with all the recipes for the food we were "making". The first recipe was the crab rangoon except all we did was stuff the wonton wrappers and actually put it together. Same with the bao buns. At no point were the porcupine meatballs even a thing. They were made prior, mentioned, and put on our plates. Everything was made in advance. So I paid to fill wonton wrappers and get printed out recipes I could find online. Also, we weren't even going to get to stuff the bao buns. They were going to have a group of people do each thing - 1 to stuff the buns and the other crab Rangoon except I said I wanted to do the buns too so everyone got to do a couple. Honestly the food was bland except for the bao buns. I won't be using their recipes. Truely disappointed and feel like I was swindled out of money. They should be more forthcoming about what this "cooking class" entails. It's not actually cooking.

Food was great and our group learned a lot about things we thought we were doing correctly for so long (knife skills, tips, tricks). Everyone had the best time, and the food was incredible. Chef Teri was super responsive from my first email, and she made the booking process easy. I had my team peruse sample menus on the Eatsies site, and we landed on grilled flatbreads with homemade ricotta and strawberry napoleon. The grilled flatbreads can be done with figs, but they weren't in season, so Chef Teri instead showed us how to make the delicious Piatti's garlic dip. Chef arrived with everything we needed (all ingredients as well as equipment). She started off the class by showing us some basic knife skills, and she shared good stories, tips, and tricks throughout the entire lesson. She was great about ensuring each of us got to try out every step so that we would really learn how to make each recipe. The combo of the grilled flatbread with the homemade ricotta (SO good!) and the garlic dip (almost like a chimichurri) was scrumptious! The strawberry napoleon was fun to assemble, beautiful, and delicious. That vanilla lemon whipped cream was *chef's kiss! We all got to enjoy the fruits of our labor right then, and we had some leftovers to send home with people. I think each of us have already made at least one of the recipes again already. The garlic dip is also an excellent marinade on any kind of meat. The entire experience was just perfect. Teri is incredibly fun and engaging, she makes recipes and techniques easy to understand and execute on, and the final product was so good. We will absolutely do more with Chef Teri in the future, and I would recommend Eatsies to everyone!

It was all absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend the apple and blue-cheese turnovers! I think about them often. The Lamb lollipop was crazy good. The shrimp appetizer was great as well as the mushroom one. Dinner courses were presented so elegantly and tasted as good as they looked. We began with a fabulous pumpkin soup. It was honestly the best pumpkin soup I've ever had. That was followed by a tasty root vegetable salad. We then had Filet Minon over risotto with a demi glaze sauce over it. Wow! It was truly spectacular. I HIGHLY recommend Chef Ty for any special intimate dining experience you are thinking about. Our party was of twenty three people. He made it a wonderful and memorable evening for us. Thank you, Chef!‍ amazing experience!

There is a large parking lot that can get congested. Watch for pedestrians that dart out into the crosswalk with too much confidence that all cars will stop and not look both ways before crossing.
