How do the locations differ? This spot has plenty of parking, a seafood/butcher counter, and a physically larger space. The much wider aisles mean when you stop to read the labels, you won't be in everyone's way! It's cleaner, more well organized, and easier to navigate. Personally, I prefer the original location (the way I preferred the Tontine Mall version of Wild Oats over the Brunswick Landing version; if you're local, you'll know the exact vibe I mean). Something about it feels stuck in time, like it's still 1995; I kind of like the chaos of the too-many-people in a space where there's too-much-stuff; also, the impressive, seemingly dedicated vegan cheese case makes it a destination spot for natural food stores in Maine! But, two things can be true, and this location is also very much needed/wanted!

My one observation is the parking lot isn't necessarily handicap friendly (I'm a DSP, I take folks with disabilities out for community access) there are handicap spots, but it's not ear the access area to safely cross the road in a wheelchair. I hope this is fixed in the future. It's difficult to walk with three people who need supports, behind other vehicles to the crossing section and up the ramp, from the handicap spots. Not impossible, but a little tricky for folks that elope from the group. Just some feedback. They still enjoyed their visit!

They had lots of locally made dairy products including a chive flower butter that went great on those radishes, as well as a mango yogurt that I cannot wait to try! They had the cutest ice cream sandwiches from a local producer, honey, maple syrup in a dozen flavors, and many more great specialty items to make for amazing meals. On top of all that they had a heavenly sandwich menu. Their knack is to take the sandwiches that we all love and make them unique and delicious. For example they make an egg salad with lovage and some special ingredients, their Italians come with a homemade spread with everything from crushed olives to salami, and their turkey sandwich has sour cream and onion potato chips on top which was amazing. Why five stars? One one occasion when they didn't have the medicine we needed, one of the pharmacists actually put on his coat and drove to another pharmacy to get it... WHILE WE WAITED! Is that awesome customer service. They have also stayed open for an extra ten minutes when I had to get my son's medication but couldn't make it there before closing. Can you believe that? What you get at ABD is old fashioned service that I thought perished from this planet in the 1950's. They smile, they are good natured and they will always do what ever they have to in order to get you your script, and all with a great attitude. I can't thank them enough!

They offer breakfast sandwiches, pizza slices and burgers to go along with all of the typical fares from a gas station/convenienece store. The only part that I dislike about this place is the price of gas compared to other parts of the state. I know it being in Falmouth makes it tougher because most everything in that sity is super expensive but, you could drive about 5 miles away toward Portland or South Portland and save about 10-15 cents sometimes. If you have intolerances to certain foods or fillers, they can accommodate you by offering you alternative fillers in your capsules. I E. if you are lactose intolerant, they can use coconut instead. If you have severe allergies, like me, a compounding pharmacy is a necessity. NOTE: Some insurance companies do not cover prescriptions filled at a compounding pharmacy. So, you must file forms to get payment reimbursed. These may be rejected for reimbursement, but you can appeal. THE DEAL: The pharmacist is so knowledgeable and friendly... He even printed out my insurance reimbursement forms and filled them out for me!
