Despite being one of the physically larger Hannaford's in the state, despite the inventory being so spread out, it feels like I'm just constantly in everyone's way since there are *so many* people (and staff restocking shelves) here. Also, I'm actually surprised at the lack of some of the vegetarian/vegan products I've found available at other smaller Hannaford's in smaller towns. Thank goodness for Morning Glory down the street! And finally: the parking. I think this Hannaford parking lot rivals the Auburn or the Mill Creek one in terms of confusion and lawlessness. Be careful out there, friends!

It's a smaller store, that feels like what you might encounter in a larger city. It was neat and clean. I couldn't really tell how aisles were organized, however, because I was browsing, it didn't stress me out. We encountered one staff member who "assisted" my sister and it was fine, very transactional, which is fine and again, what you might expect in a big city. Staff at the register were fast and efficient, didn't engage in too much conversation, just supportive of fruit pies I purchased. LOL They had a lot of offerings from some of our favorite local businesses! Standard Baking Company Little Lads Two Fat Cats Union Bagel The prices were competitive as well! They have fresh produce, meat, dairy, eggs, seasonings...pretty much everything you can find at Whole Foods but at a smaller more local scale. I can't wait to go back the next time in town.

I…read morewant to shop at hannaford, maybe for the wrong reason, I grew up with Shop n Save in Oxford ME, then hannaford bought them out, then you became owned by the Belgium company Delhaize since 1999. But yesterday, 1/3/2026, at least 50% of the produce section was wilted, and many bags of lettuce had leaves with brown rotted edges. Almost all peppers had wrinkles up near the stems, carrots were even wrinkly which means they are at least a month old. Things were flatly in-sellable and yet you had them on display trying to trick customers into putting it into their baskets. What is going on? I doubt the utter lack of freshness has anything to do w corporate policy, as Delhaize has ridgid Guidelines to ensure incredible freshness. I will walk thru next Saturday with my camera to get shots of all wrinkly and rotted things to post on line.

The produce and meat are great. They've been doing a ton of work to get their prices lower or comparable to other stores. The store is never overly crowded, and they always have registers open (wince they don't have self checkout). Also- the to 1 star review about a package- your issue is with FedEx- not Shaw's. They're just a drop off location, and the only one in the area. If it needed to be delivered that day, you needed to bring it to FedEx in Auburn, at their actual location. That's on you.

All of the clothes are cheap nasty material that nobody wants, certain things have been there since last fall. It's truly pathetic! Their bathrooms are an absolute dumpster fire. ALL THE TIME. Don't even get me started on their idiotic parking lot and the drivers that park there. None of these customers have any right to even have a drivers licenses. Everybody is arrogant and entitled. I can't even tell you how many times the handicap parking is invaded by non handicap people that don't have any compassion. The only saving grace this store has is that they have the new Alpine Blast Poppi soda in stock and their door greeters are the nicest people in the world. That's it.
