Their meat packages are pretty OK especially when you're picking your own meat packages for the amount of money

It's astonishing that I have only been in this store twice, given the fact that I grew up in Brunswick...Anyway, i finally made it in. It's a smaller store, that feels like what you might encounter in a larger city. It was neat and clean. I couldn't really tell how aisles were organized, however, because I was browsing, it didn't stress me out. We encountered one staff member who "assisted" my sister and it was fine, very transactional, which is fine and again, what you might expect in a big city. Staff at the register were fast and efficient, didn't engage in too much conversation, just supportive of fruit pies I purchased. LOL They had a lot of offerings from some of our favorite local businesses! Standard Baking Company Little Lads Two Fat Cats Union Bagel The prices were competitive as well! They have fresh produce, meat, dairy, eggs, seasonings...pretty much everything you can find at Whole Foods but at a smaller more local scale. I can't wait to go back the next time in town.

Convenient location since I stay at the Residence Inn right next to this Wal Mart in Auburn. Their groceries and meat section have been way better than expected. Decent and fresh produce like lettuce, peppers both jalapeno and serranos, onions both yellow and white, tomatoes, cilantro. Was pleasantly surprised at the t-bone steak quality. Grilled one, loved and did it again! Cool. Chicken and shrimp decent (get the large). Able to find most things but not everything I was looking for. For instance, always out of Hepa filters in smaller sizes, does not carry crustacean utensils like the little forks but had a nice shell cracker to open crab legs. Speaking of crab legs, the Jonah crab legs were a pleasant surprise so I had them twice. Not as good as florida stone crab legs but decent. Easy parking, in general friendly staff when you can find them. Good hours. Safe to shop there. Decent prices. All good.

And though we've enjoyed many of their outstanding meat cuts, a variety of local items they carry and their full liquor selections, I've come to Yelp today to sing the praises of their store made smoked salmon salad with salmon supplied from Maine's Duck Trap fisheries. This salad is first of all salmony, appropriately salty, chunky, and filled with tiny bits of red onion and celery and just enough mayo to hold it together. What a great find at this fun to shop at market. I eat it on Triscuits, corn chips, baby carrots, or to be embarrassingly honest...from my finger. I love it when I discover something previously unknown to me. And though I have been eating smoked salmon, lox/Nova since early childhood, I am so happy to have recently found this. Great job Bow Street Market! It's sold in various sized small tubs at $10.99/lb. and well worth this price.

We needed to get something fresh for dinner at the airport and I saw this while searching the area. We were helped by friendly staff at the deli counter who made us a hummus wrap and turkey sandwich to go and I got a pasta salad from their fresh deli salads. I love local markets like this with fresh items and a deli when I travel and I'm so glad we found this. They had my baby's favorite snacks in the toddler section and some delicious grab and go drinks in the cooler as well. They won't have all the things since it's a smaller, boutique market, but quality is here.

Their selection of vitamins, cleaning products, skincare, herbs, and teas is one of the best in the state for a small, local health store. In the Summer and Autumn, their selection of local produce increases. This year they have done a great job with local organic seedless watermelon and a nice variety of local organic vegetables. The dry goods section is not as expansive as one might find at a big box grocery store, which feels pretty reasonable and is even one of the reasons the store is nice.. it is a genuine, locally-opened small business.. not powering a huge space or warehouse to hold 12 varieties of one packaged item where 1 or 2 types are great. There are still many staple items to choose from. The costs I have compared are not more than the costs of items if they were ordered directly from the producers, they seem fair with prices. They are such a great addition to the area I try to think more of how I can support them instead of focusing on and criticizing minor shortcomings that most small local business face. I look forward to going to Harvest Time and finding interesting healthy things every time.
