I mean - we had a great day at Cooks. The vendors are all pretty cool and nice. Everyone is friendly and likes to work with you on price if you buy multiple items. We walked around for a few hours and bought a bunch of stuff. Yes - you pay a whole $1 to park - big deal. Keeps the parking lot from being full of people not going in. Bathrooms are useable. I have never eaten anything here but lots of quick food choices. Not as much junk as there used to be. Vendors are all hustling to make money. It's fun place - safe - well lit. I bought Atari games, piece of art, a lafufu, and some gems from the rock shop. read more

First of all, $1 to park...seriously!? That aside, the place is huge, with tons of EMPTY booths. Others have foods you can get anywhere else, such as the spot with the huge chicharrones that he got from Compare Foods. Another source of aggravation for me is the vendors here all seem to mark their prices UP from the myriad of other places you could get these things. And why are there booths that waste their space selling household cleaning products and Crest...again, seriously?! No need to go back. I can find the vast majority of this stuff anywhere else and for cheaper. read more

I have been in Winston-Salem for 17 years and never been to Cook's Flea Market. Man, there is a lot going on here. If you don't know, this is an indoor flea market with close to 500 vendors (according to the web site). It is large with a very diverse group of vendors. This is a very multicultural flea market. Vendors specializing in items like Mexican cowboy boots, Mexican dresses, Asian vendors, etc.. Way more examples than I can type out here. You just have to come see it. Oh, and the food vendors are something to check out as well. Some of the vendors were surprising to me. One vendor was selling brand new furniture. It was a furniture store inside the flea market. One vendor selling new tires. Another selling used and new appliances. Oh, and for you perverts, there is an "adult" store. Sign says 21 and over only can enter. I am looking forward to Messer K's pictures of this vendor in the future. You can get about anything here. Some things are knock off brands you never heard of. I'm sure the NFL team hats are officially licensed. I did score some Hanes Xtemp underwear. Package of 3 for $10 (no tax). I'm sure they are paying the tax on the backend. Mrs Tim said I didn't get a bargain. Well I looked up my man panties on Amazon and it was $14, so suck it Mrs Tim! I need the Xtemp to keep my boys cool and dry during the hot and humid summers in the South. I would recommend coming and checking out Cook's. I'll be back. read more

I enjoy going to consignment stores and thrift stores. I really like farmer's markets too. This place was just yuck! I would not eat any of the food served there based on how clean it looks. The items in the shops are nothing I want. Everything is dark, dirty, and cramped. I question the authenticity of the name brand detergents they are selling in five gallon barrels along with everything else. Just not for me. This place is useless for someone who carries/shops with their plastic (credit/debit cards) only, like me. I haven't used cash in YEARS, much less will I have it on me. Call me confused but I don't expect Nordstrom's when I see the word flea market.lol ..it's just that: a flea market with various booths selling odds and ends. There are booths with jewelry, shoes, mink lashes, kid stuff, food and of course junk. The good news is ..it's climate controlled and not settled in the sun with dirt aisles. Great place to shop at great low prices. You find everything you need here and gifts galore. Their are a few food spots. The Nathan's hot dog stand sales 2 hot dogs, soda and chips for $5. They have Taqueria Monarka food truck outside and a stand inside, not what I expected, very black d and dry steak and pork was not properly seasoned. The tortillas they use are pretty good but that's it. Their is also a spot in side for Mexican specialty stores like mango Diablitos and icee type cups, you must try these out. read more

This is not a Flea Market. Vendors have a booth and market their products but almost no one speaks English and they are rude!

I actually left quickly already regretting walking a few isles with my family, I felt like this was one of my worst cases of judgment bringing my family here. The place looked like a third world indoor street bazaar with crap everywhere and some shady people lurking around every isle. Walking to and from our car didn't feel much safer. There were maybe two people worth doing business with at most. This place was such a threat to my senses that I can't imagine wanting to even go back to that general area let alone this "flea market" ever again. read more

Every booth has same exact items. No more variety. I do t know why they let the vendors do that. It hurts the market.

I found what I was looking for and a few things I will return for. It is a decent sized indoor flea market and quite nice.

I must say I'm not usually a shooter at flea markets but my husband loves them. We came here to kill time and browse to see what they have. First, I love that you can't smoke indoors or near the entrances so you don't have to walk through a cloud of smoke! The aisles are very clean and organized! We found some homemade fudge which was delicious and my stepdaughter found some used records she can play. We also loved how they have maps occasionally to help find your way around. read more

Its almost a flea market. Many booths are actually businesses selling products you would find on late night TV. Pricing is the same as the retail stores. No real deals. If you go prepare for the smoke. There is a haze inside the building of second hand smoke. You will smell like an ashtray by the time you leave. Poorly lit, dark. And if you are into gang banging wanna be's you will love Cooks Flea market. The location attracts some elements which are detrimental to ones safety. read more

I am glad that they are smoke free now and I have found alot of great deals the staff and security are very nice and helpful. There are alot of "Stores" with alot of diffrent stuff to check out.
