However, after my interaction with the owner today I can no longer recommend that anyone come here unless there is absolutely no other option. Usually their prices match or are close to the MSRP of the products they stock. In one case, they had a set of gouges that I was keen on learning about, and so I read about it online. The reviews were great, but the cost Alpine was charging was over twice the MSRP. I called to ask what the reason for the disparity was: perhaps they had them professionally sharpened" The owner took great offense that I had, in his words, the "gall" to question his pricing model. I apologized for any offense I had caused, but he was not having it. He effectively said he was not interested in ever doing business with me again, saying 'I hope we never see you again". So, long story, short, unfortunately this is another local business where the harsh realities of trying to make a profit in a tough, increasingly online, market are taken out directly on the consumer, and the consumer is supposed to be happy and meek to be given the opportunity to shop locally. There are good stores to buy wood in Albuquerque at almost half the price. My advice is to save your money, and your sanity, and avoid this business.

I called Dary this morning and made an appointment to bring it in for repair. They are "by appointment" for now to protect everyone's health. I explained that we had come into town (we are out beyond Eldorado) to run mostly medical errands, and he said he would fix the lamp as fast as possible, to avoid another trip. To my amazement, he called in less than 30 minutes to let me know the repair was done and the lamp ready to be picked up! I can't recommend his service and consideration more highly.
