The menu said the coffee was one price, but the cafe charged a different price. We are not talking about some small change. We are talking about a $0.75 charge on a flavored latte that is supposed to cost $4 according to the board. It came up to $4.75 plus you have to pay a transaction fee $0.25. No signage warning customers either.

The lady in the the drive thru was very friendly. We got banana bread for the kids. We also got a White Mocha large. They whipped it up pretty quickly. I'm looking forward to trying more options next time. The bread taste moist and fluffy. My coffee was excellent exactly how a white mocha is suppose to taste. It wasn't overly sugary which sometimes happens with a white Mocha. read more

My favorite coffee place. Pumpkin spice year round (the food is delicious too), high quality everything, the nicest barista's you can find, wonderful local owners, clean, welcoming and all around best coffee place ever. Try it and you'll convert from wherever you go now (but don't hold up the drive thru- I've got places to be)! read more

I love this place. I've been a loyal customer for many years, I was devastated when the south hill drive up coffee stand was gone! I'm so happy that Cool bean re opened and that they have stayed the same. It says a lot hag the same people have worked here for a really long time... all of the employees are super friendly and the coffee is always great....my 4 year old requests that we got to Cool bean all the time... it has become a family tradition when we go places... we always budget time into our day to swing by Cool bean coffee!! On top of the people being great, the coffee is outstanding, the drinks and the food are always good.... how many places anymore offer a variety of toasted bagels And different cream cheeses!? This is the homiest and the friendliest place you will find anywhere in Puyallup. Wayyyyyyyy better than starbucks and way more friendly than any other place around! read more

What a beautiful and cozy place, super friendly and accommodating baristas! I took my elderly father, he had a Cool Bean with a toasted cheese bagel, cream cheese. I had a delicious White Chocolate Expresso. I just love it, my new go-to! Right next to Tattered Apron, easy to access with a drive up and way quicker than the large chains! read more

Difficult to find and the drive thru is even harder. The inside is decorated beautifully and the selection is great. Bathrooms were very clean as well. Ordered the drip, which was mediocre. Will go back to try to the espresso and the food. I expect both to be better than the coffee. This place is definitely worth trying at least once. read more

I was just visiting Puyallup for a week...too bad, I really like this coffeeshop. I came here 5 of the 7 days to eat breakfast, have their delicious coffee and hung out to do remote work. Great service. Very comfortable facilities. read more

Cool Bean is a middle of the road coffee place in Puyallup. The Espresso itself is ok but nothing to jump up and down about. I would stop in again if needing a fix but with all the other places to choose from It would have to be for convince purposes only. read more

The baristas are super friendly. They treat you like family. The owner Viki is amazing and her passion for her business filters down to her employees. The coffee is really good, my fave is the iced mocha made with chocolate milk, and and the blueberry muffins are loaded with blueberries. This is my go to coffee place in Pierce County. read more

The stars are just because the staff was friendly but the coffee is weak, watered down, my husband's white chocolate mocha taste like Lukewarm milk with hint of white chocolate...my almond milk latte' was ok...but with my 3 shots i couldnt really taste a good espresso taste I was hoping for... I stopped by here last week and was pleasantly surprised. I went through the drive through & got a cheddar bagel with chive cream cheese & it was delicious, I went back today for the same. Really friendly staff & cute inside. I love that they put the cream cheese on & slice it in half for you, it's the little things! read more

Upon my entry, I was greeted with a cheerful "Good Morning " by one of the ladies (employee/possibly owner) and had made eye contact. I advised it was my first visit and if she didn't mind me taking some updated photos of the business as Yelp had old pictures. She stated "You're more than welcome, let me know when you're ready to order". I thanked her and I would holler. The place was larger than I expected. The building didn't look as big on the outside. I guess I was fooled. LOL! The ambiance was clean, comfortable with cozy lounge furniture and dining tables. There is a Fireplace, however, was not in use as it was warm inside. The Christmas tree was still up. I was advised by one of the ladies that they leave it up and change the theme throughout the year. I thought that was pretty neat. Drive thru is available. After looking through the menu. I opted to order the sausage egg muffin breakfast $6.50. This was good. I also ordered a Masala Chai latte with coconut milk $6.30 (inclusive of up charge $.75). This was recommended by one of the ladies and had claimed it was her favorite drink. I enjoyed this drink very much! I also had a warmed apple fritter $3.05 which was good. The three ladies that were working on that day were so joyful, full of smiles and laughter. I could tell they had great chemistry and enjoyed working there. I believe one of them was the owner. They surely made my morning and my day. I left merrily on my way to run the rest of my errands. I shall be back! =)

Cool bean is a great coffee shop, has a drive through as well which is even covered incase it's raining. These girls here are so nice and always know how to make the best drinks possible especially Samantha! Side note they have homemade chocolate whip cream that is to die for !! LOVE cool bean!!! I was a frequent customer, daily! I loved all of my baristas, especially the blonde pregnant lady who used to be an orthodontist assistant! I was so so so sad when they knocked down the stand and put in a Starbucks! Then much to my surprise, I realized they opened a new one up right down the road!!! Best coffee and best service ever!!! They always have my drink ready for me before I even get to the window! Love you guys! Keep up the excellent work! read more

Stopped in to grab a bite and have gone back a few times since. The servers are friendly and the atmosphere is good. I enjoy the various dishes they offer and I enjoy the fact that I can bring my family for a nice meal. Good coffee always hot always customized if needed. read more

Cool Bean is the best coffee stand around, all the barista's are so polite and always very social! They also have a list of gluten free treats that are amazing especially the cinnamon rolls!! Highly recommend :) read more
