Had everything he needed to fix the issue, and then did a routine cleaning of all ac units on the property after asking if I would like that, and would be okay with the price. Backstory: We just recently moved into a 20-year-old house in the Houston area and we love the house, but this house has a lot of internal things that still need to be fixed or serviced. Long story short after our service request call last night, the Texas Comfort Systems technicians came out the next morning and quickly diagnosed the problems with our AC unit outside. Apparently, it was the AC capacitor for our downstairs AC unit. After finding the problem, they quoted us a decent price and we felt it was fair and accepted it. On top of this, most people should not be replacing these AC parts themselves, unless they're completed by trained HVAC technicians, like those who work for Texas Comfort Systems. Overall, great service and professionalism! We're back to nice AC indoors. Thank god! The technicians, Stephen and Julio, who came out today were super professional, knowledgeable, kind, courteous, and clearly represented the great customer service of Texas Comfort Systems. Heather patiently answered as many of my questions as she could, and Charlie (the owner) spent over an hour explaining the ins and outs of units. What I appreciated most was he didn't talk to me like I was dumb or try to oversell me - I felt like I was talking to someone who could best explain the needs for my house. Justin came by the following day and gave us several quotes on various units. He didn't try selling the most-expensive unit (or even the step up from what we're getting). He also explained the ductwork and why the construction would be as extensive as planned. Our ducts are original to our 1970s house, and there are all kinds of holes that are beyond repair. Between the time we scheduled our unit install and the actual date (8 days from now ), Madd Air has handled any issues we've had to ensure we are comfortable. Our unit ran out of coolant and needed to be charged, and Justin added enough to hold us over. Their prices are right in line with the market, and in my opinion, they do far more than what other companies with the same quote can offer. When they arrived they were focused on trying to evaluate my air conditioning system rather than focus on the quote I requested. When the salesman realized he wasn't going to get any upsell wiggle room, he told me they don't do blown in insulation for less than three grand. This is more than every other company that offered quotes by as much as 50%. I would avoid based on the 'sales first' pushiness of the company. They are less interested in providing value to customers than pushing their sales. A company needs jobs to be profitable, but this is something else entirely.

I called Nicks Pluming and AC initially and they came out Saturday at 2pm to look at my AC…read moreand told me that the capacitor needed to be changed that was 2k but if the unit needed to be changed that would be 6k and that there could be a leak. Pretty much a bunch of BS I called Efficient Polar Air they came out Saturday at 9PM said that the builder when the HVAC person installed the unit they didn't vacuum enough and if anything the expansion valve needed to be changed and vacuum to be done but couldn't confirm anything Nicks Pluming/AC was saying. They fixed the issue for there standard service call and if it keeps reoccuring the expansion valve and vacuum needs to be done. Do yourself a favor and if you have any AC issue call Efficient Polar Air!!! They saved me so much $$$$ by being honest and quick.
