I think this is being generous. I just left there and my nails and toes look like CRAP. I got Russian Navy gels and the same color on my toes. To say that the lady who did them was sloppy, is a large understatement. I just left with blue all over my toes and my fingers, except where the nail polish should be. When I pointed out to her that my pinky finger and my second finger were missing polish, she literally said, "okay." She did nothing to fix it! And it was clear she could not understand me, or possibly English at all. Good luck finding a good place to go to get your nails done in Fort Lauderdale. It simply does not exist. While the salon is clean, and very nice on the inside, they clearly do not care about their customers or the customer experience. Also, don't want to do your eyebrows are your walk out of there with two separate ones that don't look alike. read more

I had a full set put on 2 weeks ago by Luan, and he did an amazing job! Unfortunately, he is no longer there. Another gentleman did my fill. I have sympathy and empathy for him and his situation, but he inappropriately complained that his wife kicked him out recently the whole time. He nicked me several times and my nails are very thick. They look like squares or blocks. I really just wanted to go, so I didn't say anything, but I do think it's important that the owners are aware. I see a very similar review from recently. Long lasting gel! I've been to Cool Nails three times and I definitely recommend them. The salon is updated, clean and organised. The nail techs are friendly and speak English well. The last time I went, Lin helped me, she was very thorough and took her time doing a nice job. My gel manicure (photo posted) and regular pedicure is now two weeks old and still looking good. I just left here mid-manicure. I got there an hour before they closed and they said I could only have one service done (despite having multiple employees not doing anything) to which I said fine I understand. They told me where to sit for my manicure and my manicurist hardly looked up from her phone when I came over. I asked for the set of dip colors to choose from and after handing it to me she immediately took my hand to start filing. I asked her to let me choose my color first and she said no because we needed to soak my nails anyways. After putting the foil on my nails to soak she got out her phone again and didn't look up even when I tried to talk to her. Finally I said "you seem preoccupied I think I'll just leave" all she said was "so you're going to take your nails off yourself?" I said sure and when I told the front desk I was leaving mid-manicure all they said was "okay." Really bummed and hate to leave a bad review but it was just a really bad experience :/ UPDATE: I respect and appreciate the owner's responses and totally understand that I came in late and they didn't want to stay to accommodate me. Best nail place for its price! It's only $35 for a mani and pedi. They have a great selection of colors, it's clean and the technicians are great! I always go to Rose who is so skilled she should be working at a high-end salon and if you need an amazing foot massage with your pedicure than you must go see Kevin!! You can sit in the massage chairs and just relax, but go during the week because on the weekend it is a mad house and not the most relaxing spot. Although it is not my taste, they do offer gel and acrylic. They also offer shellac, which is great because there is no drying time and it lasts for 2 weeks with no chipping! I had to wait for quite some time even though I had an appointment. I watched them "clean" foot baths and was praying I wouldn't catch anything- they basically just rinse it out. Not only that, but they don't use fresh/sanitized tools. So gross. I went in for mani/pedi with gel polish on hands and feet. It ran about $70. The whole experience took way too long, they were not friendly, not clean. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 ia because I chipped my gel polish and came in and they fixed it free of charge. It's pretty simple; I come in and usually don't wait too long before I'm taken care of, however this last visit really disappointed me and I won't be going back. Lisa who took care of me this time is simply awful. My nails started chipping the very next day! She never fully cut my cuticles even after I had her several times and she cut all my nails a different length. I'm not sure what happens to this place. There used to be better nail techs. Now they are all just crabby! You'd at least expect after paying $45 including tip, you'd be able to enjoy your mani/pedi for at least a week! The place is dirty, sloppy, messy and loud. My gel last around 20 days which is way longer than most places. The color selection is good for both gel and regular polish. Beware! This place DOES NOT sanitize their tools. If you get an infection after reading this, you were warned! Many reputable people I know go to this salon so I decided to try it. The nail tech had just finished a pedicure and was coming to her station where I was sat for a manicure with her basket. She literally tried to take out the already used tools and use them on me! When I demanded she use a fresh sanitized pair, she took the tools and placed them I a fake already been used (the corners were wilted and rust colored) sanitation sleeve. The pig that did my mani and pedi asked if my boyfriend touches me like he does, the staff is unprofessional, and speaks loudly across the room in their native tongue in which I'm there to relax. My paint was instantly chipped off within hours. My nail later split from a nail fungal issue shortly after visiting them. I will never go back or recommend them to anyone. I LOVE Cool Nails!! The owners, Tom and Ashley, are both nice and welcoming to every customer that walks in the door. The shop is beautiful and immaculate, and the staff is very professional. I get a UV Gel manicure, which is done perfectly every time. Pedicures are done in fabulous massage chairs, with hot towel wraps and never rushed. The services are well with the prices. It looks like reviewers here have brought up sanitation concerns... I just visited at the end of August 2015 and it looks like the owner must have read your comments! There were a couple of large signs hanging in the salon stating their hygiene policy. In addition to the new signage, I also noticed that they lined the foot baths with a plastic covering and that the nail techs wore gloves and were outwardly sanitizing tools in front of me. All good to see! I don't know how the place was before, but it definitely seems that the place has improved! Now about the actual pedi - great job! I needed to match a color to a dress I was wearing for a wedding and the nail tech was very helpful and matched the color for me. My toes were beautiful and the polish held up well, and is still on at the present (Sept 21). So I would recommend this place! Pricing was good, too, I believe it was $30 for the Pedi, it might have been cheaper, maybe $26, but I can't remember exactly. read more
