Do Not Use this company! I have so many complaints and not sure where to start. They did not do the…read moreservice I paid for. I actually felt threatened by the 2 guys that showed up so I was nicer than I should have been. They kept saying "we can just leave!" I wish I would have just let them go. I've emailed the company but no response from my complaints. Here's my email to them: Hi Josh, I had my air ducts cleaned yesterday by your guys. I have a few things that I need to let you know about. * I asked them if they had shoe covers and they said no and that they would leave if I wanted them to. I asked them to stay. * They did not turn off the unit prior to cleaning which has now caused multiple issues with my unit. * I put in a new filter on Sunday. Today it is completely dirty. I expected a little dirt but not to the degree that it is now. * Because they did not turn off the unit prior to cleaning, all of the debris went back into my unit and it is now froze up. I have to have a service call to fix it because the air is not working. * I stayed with your guys to ensure they were doing their work properly and they kept making comments about me watching them saying "we better do a good job, she watching". They were not professional and I would like to be compensated for their work and attitudes and now my ac unit not working. I see there are no reviews on Yelp and I will probably be entering a poor one unless you can find a way to make this right. Also, they did not do an HVAC check or mold test as indicated in your quote.

I subscribe to a monthly program where they give discounts when you need service and they come to you every 6 months for an inspection. Daniel is one of their top guys and I highly recommend him! They started with me a few years ago at my condo in Alexandria and have migrated with me to my new place in Cincinnati. Updating my previous review from a year ago. Our AC unit went out randomly on one of the hottest days of the season. It was the afternoon and I gave them a call and they had Mercedes out here by the early evening to get it fixed! She came, she was super polite and helpful, she wore boot covers in the house, and was able to solve the whole problem very efficiently and quickly with lots of tech. Very appreciative of her coming on the same day and after hours as well! I cannot recommend a better company for your HVAC needs!

Beware -- Johnson's retrofitted my old house with ductwork and a heat pump system about 7 years…read moreago. The ductwork was installed well, and was kept almost completely out of sight. However, there were two major problems with the installation. #1, the 400lb heat pump unit was not installed on any kind of pad or footing, so it gradually sank into the ground over the years and has had to be shored up. Other people who gave us quotes included a pad, but as inexperienced homeowners we didn't think to request this explicitly. The larger problem was that the heat pump specified was a type that has a two stage compressor that was never connected. This means that for peak efficiency the first compressor speed would come on (to heat or cool), then if the thermostat detects that it is not meeting the heating/cooling needs fast enough then the second compressor speed would engage (stage 2). Last week the White-Rodgers thermostat died. When I opened it up and researched the wire colors and so on I could tell something wasn't quite right. Sure enough, when I looked at the other end of the wires and cross referenced the connections with the heat pump manual, it was obvious that the second stage compressor was never hooked up. In fact, the thermostat that Johnson's installed was not even capable of driving a two stage heat pump. On cold winter days the heat pump was not capable of keeping the house at a comfortable temperature, even with the auxiliary heating element. Without the second stage compressor kicking in we were never getting the full heating (or cooling) that he heat pump was capable of. Additionally, by having the auxiliary heat kicking in sooner than it should have been, we were not getting the full efficiency of a heat pump. There is no excuse for a professional HVAC company to specify a unit and then not connect it correctly. It can only be caused by one of the following: lack of understanding, incompetence, or lack of integrity. Either way, I will be looking more carefully for a HVAC company next time, and doing much more research and checking up on their work.
