As soon as the vet saw her she realized what the problem was and immediately started meds. The Dr asked when the dogs last visit was to a vet and she advised two days ago. I won't print the Doctor's response out of respect.

She quoted me almost $2000 for a surgery for my dog that my old vet in my previous city did for $500. I understand demographics, but that was literal robbery. Maybe increase your hours of availability so you can reduce your fees to a reasonable, competitive amount?

She aspirated by dog's mass cell tumor and didn't give her any Benadryl or Steroid injections. The histamine from the tumor went throughout her body making her terribly sick. The "doctor" didn't tell us to put her on a regular regime of Benadryl either! We took her several days later to another vet who was SHOCKED that they didn't give her an injection of Benadryl and Steroid BEFORE the aspiration. We got her stablizied for several weeks, but on 7/13, she got really sick and we had to put her to sleep. THIS VET IS THE WORST VET I'VE BEEN TO IN 50 YEARS! PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS VET! THERE ARE MANY OTHER GREAT VETS TO CHOOSE FROM IN ORMOND BEACH!

I saw that Dr Schroyer had ONLY 5-star reviews and his office, while not in our immediate area, was fairly conveniently located to us. When I called I immediately had a pleasant experience with the person answering the phone. She was able to fit us in the next day. When we arrived at the office, the staff was very pleasant and accommodating. We found Dr Schroyer to be calm, confident, knowledgeable and personable. He listened to and was willing to answer all of our questions without being condescending and even looked at our other dog so he would have a familiarity with her and a record if we returned. We left the office feeling very comfortable about our dog's issue and certain that not only would we return, but that this would become our primary veterinarian's office. So..... yet another 5 star review!!

Feed tube and meds all new to me! He is now healthy, happy 3 year old. My older Teddy had his eye badly scratched and almost lost it. Dr Anderson and Dr Elders had a new tool (Lazer?) and saved the sight. All pet owners should remember no matter how knowledgeable they are, not all procedures are successful. This Clinic has many Drs and latest equipment. It is not the least expensive. It is excellent.

May 26, 2023 Was…read moreable to get appt due to cancellation. Appoint was 3:00pm. Got placed in exam room at 3:28pm. Vet came into the room 3:40pm. First thing vet tech brought up was that my cat wasn't on sedation medication when he arrived. He's declawed upfront but she's worried about teeth. Advice, hold the cat properly to not get bit I guess. I've never ever been to a vet in 16-years that pushed sedation prior to appt as much as this place. I know it's because they want to handle the cats in a more gentler manner but it doesn't work for us. I don't give my cat sedation medicine because the last time I did he wouldn't eat for almost 3-weeks afterwards. The after effect was awful, not ever doing that again. Also, it slows his heart rate down and he's 16 years old. He was taken to have his back left toe nail checked as it was irritated and blood drawn to see where we are at with his kidney disease. I was told I'd get the results back Tuesday and was prescribed an ointment to put on his ear to help increase appetite. So we will see if it works. Got blood work back the following week. Stage 4 Kidney Disease. He needs IV fluids 2x weekly and to rub medicine in his ear to increase appetite. Been doing it at home and it's been working a bit. Been having to feed him baby food and anything wet and new. I'm able to purchase the IV bag and needles from the vet and they let me observe how to do it 2 times. It cost about $20-$25 each time.

Reason enough to question the integrity of this vet office. I imagine that they would or will have an excuse for not following up. Bottom line, If you offer a service you NEED to then follow up with people and get the appointment or reason why you cannot schedule for the date or dates requested. Thus the convenience of online scheduling. Otherwise don't offer it! Here I was giving them a second chance after previously being disappointed in the care of my cat Smokey. I won't get into details. I told myself I wouldn't return with any of my kitties, due to the experience. The only thing I liked about this place was a cat only, location and that most procedures are done with pet parent present (exam, shots). But I realized that their not worth it. So many reasons and those are shared by others her on this platform in the grivenses they share with regard to this cat clinic.

Took my purchases home and when my daughter googled them she found that they weren't 'special' and Salty Paws charged us $35 dollars MORE than online. A week later, my dog got bitten by another dog. I called Salty Paws to see if I could bring in my dog for a quick look to see if she needed a stitch or 2. I explained to the staff that I just wanted them to take a quick look. The girl put me on hold and came back and said no and I should make an appointment. Now, mind you, at the week prior appointment, (which cost me over $200) , I had to wait over 35 minutes because they were running behind and the dr had a 'walk in' she was looking at! I understand everybody works for money but.....never again Salty Paws.

Professional with super fair prices he was always busy. Now the bad news. Sadly the clinic has been taken over by a new Dr. who I wish I NEVER went to. Their prices will make you wish you had endless money because trust me you will wish you did going to this new Dr. All I did was get shots for a kitten to the tune of $500. I understand medical services are expensive for humans and our beloved pets. But? Sadly this little kiddy ingested some kind of poison and in my time of grief he charged another $500 to send him to heaven. I was a client for 10 years and will be no longer. they don't have all the equipment needed for all situations .Finally he fact that nobody mentioned cancer until my cat was in her literal end stage and I had to put her down because she was no longer responsive. Paid for cremation and paw/nose prints. had to get a refund because they bungled the paperwork for it. After all that especially after 10 years as a client I just don't trust it anymore unfortunately if y'all messed up her end stage instructions now I'm scared for my live one .
