We brought our dog in to be checked out because he wasn't feeling well. When we arrived the woman at the front was very friendly. However when we went back to see the vet she waved a pendulum in front of my dogs face and told me he had allergies to grass, which is true. This didn't explain the symptoms my dog was having. We left with a $400 vet bill. The following day we took him into our vet and it turned out he has diabetes. read more

I have been taking my dogs to Dr. L'Amie for years and she is a first-class vet who uses traditional and holistic care. My dogs also treat at University of FL for some rather intense issues and Dr. L'Amie has followed up on their care and continued with their protocols. Everyone is very professional and caring. I prefer holistic care when possible, but she advises when we cannot go in a holistic direction, but must use conventional meds. I am a homeopath with my life style and my pups life style. As soon as I went into the office I immediately felt such great energy. The vet tech at the desk was super nice and genuine. The Vet herself was amazing. This was the first time my pup hasn't been aggressive with someone handling him which indicates a big sign of relief and comfort. She ran some energetic test, a pendulum, to find out if he had any intolerance to foods and we did find a grain allergy. We initially came for a senior wellness check and a paw check. We have been going to Dr. L'Amie for many years, Sandy is a great vet. I am not for or against the holistic approach as several times the nosodes seemed to help. The non-holistic steroid, antibiotic, pain killers or muscle relaxers we have been prescribed as required for the various ailments or injuries our pets have been through have always been correct and effective. Our long backed daschund jumped up after the lizard a few years ago, the short version of this story is she could not even stand, so she was carried into the office...saw Sandy....trotted out....back adjustment....Sandy said she had only done one back surgery in decades and that dog was hit by a car and surgery was only chance. Our pets go to Oceans Edge and they are happy, healthy (and spoiled). read more

I went to see the 'vet' as my dog had fleas and the FrontLine I used was not working as fast as I thought. Also, he had a couple of spots of dry skin and that had me worried. Our regular vet is up North and I wanted to see someone asap. First of all, she used the 'flea' comb, and said the flea problem was not bad at all. She then took out a sort of 'amulet' and then hung it over our dog. Because of the way the amulet swayed, she said he needed vitamins, and that we should only use 'green' cleaners in our home as the others affected the dog!!!! OMG it cost us $136+ for the visit, dog food (because she said the food we're giving him is causing his skin condition), dog treats, and 2 small bottles of vitamins!!! Don't go there!! Seems she just wanted us to purchase the food and vitamins! The only positive thing was the person at the front desk was very pleasant. read more

Dr L'Amie is hands down one of the best veterinarians I have ever had the pleasure to bring my animals to. I have 4 huskies and we strive to keep our lives and diets as green and healthy as possible. She uses techniques that are totally in line with my thinking and belief system and my dogs have never been so healthy with minimal invasive care - no chemicals - great diet and the use of homeopathy and good supplementation. I have seen negative reviews here and I feel badly for the people who felt they did not have a good experience but I chalk it up to a lack of belief and understanding in her methods. Science and medicine are changing to embrace the cutting edge techniques used by Dr L'Amie - so don't come out of your cave and throw rocks at the moon just because you have yet to catch up with new and gentler thinking. I consider it a godsend that I found her when moving here from NY. read more
