They also serve many of the standard Peruvian comfort dishes; lomo saltado, the bowls, legit pollo a la brasa, and a very tasty (and spicy) rocoto sauce that I legit put on everything. One note on the pollo a la brasa: if you have never had Peruvian pollo a la brasa, you are truly missing out on one of the best things the world has to offer; and Panguich actually does a better job than some places we have tried in Lima. The chicharrón sandwich with sweet potato waffle fries, red onions, and rocoto is no joke. The tamales are also legit. Pro tip: if you like the chicharrón sandwich and also want a tamal, check out the Lurín breakfast. It has everything you need, including the bread to make the sandwich, plus a tamal and café con leche. Perfect for a Saturday morning breakfast that can be shared if you grab an extra roll.
