The builder on my house put in plastic vents to save money I guess and their roofer did a poor job nailing incorrectly. To prevent problems others have had I had the vents replaced by Cooper Mountain. I called for an inspection and they promptly showed up and took pictures to show me the imminent failure. While it took a few days for the quote, it was a fair bit less than what others in my neighborhood have paid for the same repairs. We got on the schedule and they came out and fixed us up quickly. The builder also put in a vent with no connection to anything. The repairman showed me and went into the attic space to confirm that nothing was amiss. I had an excellent experience with Casey and the team at Cooper Mountain Roofing (same business as Reliance Roofing). When I wanted to add ventilation to my roof, every other roofing company simply wanted to sell me a new roof, which I didn't need. Casey worked with me to create a custom solution that involved ridge venting and bird blocks to create the airflow needed on my duplex, without having to replace the roof. Once we agreed on a design, the install was done in 2 days, which is mind blowing considering there was over 100 feet of ridge vent and about 36 bird block vents. Casey came back to the property after the install to check the work which I greatly appreciate and I feel really shows the professionalism of this company. We got three bids, or at least tried to get three bids. One company never bothered to show up. Cooper Mountain was the lowest of the two bids we got. They did the work in February so I was nervous about rain and leaks, but no problems at all there. They told me up front that the finish date would be flexible because they had to work around the weather. They actually finished sooner than I expected. It's been two months since completion and no problems with leaks and we've had some heavy rain during that time. I've done spring cleaning of the yard and very little debris in the yard. I contracted with these guys to replace my roof. Unfortunately they are booked out a couple months, which seems to be the case with ALL roofers right now. I was scheduled in for 11/09. During our last heavy rain I realized that I have a leak in my garage roof. I left a message for Mike last Friday about possibly putting a tarp over the problem area until the replacement. Come Tuesday, no response. I call again and reach him. He says he had me on his list to call but things are crazy. I explained my situation and he says he will get someone out, if not he will do it himself, possibly incurring a small fee. He said he would call me back Wednesday morning when he's at his desk to confirm a time Here we are at closing time on Wednesday and, gee, no response again. At this point I am really worried about the upcoming rains in 2 days and I had his word that they would take care of it. I rec'd a couple calls back from local companies basically telling me that they were booked out at least two months & not taking any orders. Pat from COOPER MOUNTAIN called me back. Completely different experience! I explained the work I needed done and while it wasn't something his company could do, Pat took the time to listen, understand what was needed & explained to me how to proceed. Removed 21 year old cedar shake roof and installed Certainteed Landmark Pro max def - moire black singles. Very happy with Cooper Mountain Roofing. A 3 man crew, lead by Ricardo, did the labor over 3.5 days. Their supervisor, Shaun, was great and answered all my questions. He went the extra mile making sure the clean up job was complete and advised me on a plumbing issue that I originally thought was a roof/caulking problem. My only complaint was the response time on some emails with the guy selected to give my estimate (Bill). Still an A overall. Other companies that I took bids from were 1-3k higher. They offered to move my install date up 2 weeks when they had an new opening, which I was happy about. They were pretty booked out when I first called, but that's how you know they are a good company. No extra charge for the high profile (mountain?) hip and ridge. Other companies wanted to charge an extra 4-500 bucks for that. I would definitely recommend Cooper Mountain to anyone who asks. read more
