WOULD NOT REHIRE! While they did a good job cleaning the gutters, they knocked down a potted plant and just left it on the ground. Admittedly, we missed moving it before they got here but leaving it on the ground without even a heads up is just poor business. They also trampled and blew debris all over a well-marked patch of new grass we have been growing. While they did do what they promised and cleaned off the flat surfaces (driveway, etc) with a blower, they do so by blowing the debris from your gutters all over your lawn and flower beds. Having been in the gutter business I am well aware of the challenges associated with the job and in my opinion their performance was lack-luster at best. read more

I reached out to All Surface to look at installing 2 stem vents that connect to existing exhaust fan ductwork and potentially replacing chimney flashing at my new home. Megan was great, getting us scheduled with an estimator very quickly. I had a disappointing experience with the estimator this morning that makes me not interested in working with All Surface, at all. After looking at the exhaust fan ducts/vents - the estimator told me that 2 of the 4 other vents we have on our roof are placed in the wrong spots and that they want to remove those 2 vents, patch, re-shingle, and install 4 new vents on the other side of the house for a total of 6 vents (2 existing and 4 new) as well as adding the 2 stem vents for the exhaust fans. I asked what the purpose of relocating/adding those 4 vents would be as we are not experiencing any moisture issues in the attic. The estimator explained some airflow/air pressure dynamics which made sense. I then asked if we could look at replacing the aging vents in their existing locations as an additional option to what he proposed and that's where it escalated. He responded with an annoyed "We don't just throw shit on people's roofs". and continued to say that they're the experts and they're going to do things the right way. This was a completely unnecessary response to a genuine question. I'm not trying to get you to do things the wrong way - I was asking if there was a way to minimize the level of work needed when there are functioning ventilation penetrations already in place. The response was not friendly, educational, or good customer service in any way. This experience really soured my opinion of All Surface and don't plan on working with them. I hope others do not experience the same type of interaction I did. read more

Fine work but watch out for scope changes. I had a roof leak, they removed shingles, explained there was missing underlayment and the extra material would be an added cost. I payed the updated total that day. The work appears to be satisfactory. I then received a call saying I owed more. It turned out being a typo but left a really bad impression after already paying more than originally quoted. read more

First off, I'd like to say that I am a repeat customer of All Surface Roofing and Construction. They came out and did some repairs for me a few years back and because of the service and communication I received THEN, I decided to call them back when I discovered recently that I needed to replace my roof. They were very responsive, and made what is usually a super stressful and expensive scenario, much less so. From the office staff who took my call, right down to the crew who came out to replace my roof - I have zero complaints. Job was done well, it was done on time, and best of all, they stuck to the quote I was given and didn't add on a bunch of "Unforseen issues" that many other companies do. Needing roof replacement, I called six roofers. Three got back, two actually delivered estimates, including All Surface. I liked both estimates, but All Surface gave the most detailed and comprehensive estimate and specified superior materials, for only a few hundred dollars more. Worth it. They kept in touch, began before the estimated start date, did everything they said, finished quickly, and a supervisor followed up to make sure everything was good. This review pertains to a full residential gutter replacement: tear off, dispose/recycle old, install new. First, the good: reasonably responsive, showed up on time, polite, use good quality materials, price seemed decent, overall the new gutters look good. Less good: install job was mediocre. Minor damage to existing composition shingles, lots of debris left around house (see photo--I've since found half a dozen more gutter spikes), at least one gutter not adequately sloped (see photo of 1/4" standing water in new gutter), took two visits b/c install crew didn't finish the first day, company made minor change to scope but didn't bother to communicate that to me, the property owner. It's confusing who to call if there's a problem. I dealt with three different contacts (bid evaluator, contract admin., and invoicing), and it wasn't clear that they communicated one to the other. None of this is terrible, just comes across as sloppy, and I'll shoulder some of the blame for not being more involved myself. No doubt, these guys are busy and in high demand. I'm sure the gutters will work fine. read more

I hired All Surface to replace 2 skylights in my home. They gave me a 3-day installation window. With around 6 hours left at the very end of that window on a Friday, they sent one worker out to install both skylights and clean all of my gutters. The new skylights they ordered were too large and they said they were going to buy materials to reframe them, but instead everyone disappeared. Here I am on a Friday night, with 2 holes in my roof, and I'm extremely unsatisfied. I can't get a hold of anyone at the company. read more

I have never had a more enjoyable gutter cleaning experience. I went for the Ulra gutter cleaning service and it was unbelievable. Mario and Domingo were amazing- conscientious, thorough, and clean. our gutters look brand new and they are 25 years old. Our house is clean and we had so much debris because of the heat this past summer (we have a ton of trees). Mario and Domingo aren't gutter cleaners they are restorers and I can't recommend them and All surface enough. I had to wait to get on their list but it was worth the wait. I was waiting for him to ask questions, talk about the job, something like the other bids I got. So I just told him about what happened and how the roof was leaking. I mentioned it was an old 20 yr old roof. He condescendingly told me I should have a roof inspected before I buy a house. Yeah, I kinda already learned that, thanks. I hired All Surface to do a roof repair for me primarily due to all the good reviews here on Yelp, and because they were able to get out faster than anyone else. The estimator came out, got on my roof, and before long identified the location and problem with the leak. Apparently the plywood decking had lifted and had allowed the rain to seep in past the shingles and felt. Several days later, the crew came out while I was at work and had the repair done in short order. In spite of the age of the roof, they were able to match the old shingles quite well, and the patch is hardly noticeable! No leaks after several days of rain. Highly recommended! read more

Leo and Gio showed up today to replace about a 12' run of barge board. They came a bit early, which was fantastic as we had plans for the day. They were very professional and did an outstanding job. Also, Leo pointed out a potential problem with a vent. I had been aware of it but completely forgot as I don't have a 14 foot ladder to access it. He offered to fix it if I had a screen, which I did. The crew they sent out to do the work was excellent--friendly, really professional and exacting to make sure they did the best possible work. Dealing with the office was another matter: as with Angela N's review (4/6/21), the rep still doesn't seem to know about keeping a mask over his nose. The estimate was fine, but it was impossible to get further information about some details of the job; several calls and emails not returned until I asked someone in the office to take some responsibility (she did). We have used this company several times over the years and have been impressed with them every time. They gave us a wonderful new roof a few years back that still looks like new and it's kept us dry and warm. These days we have them clean our gutters twice a year. The crews are efficient, friendly, and tidy. They were just out again within the last couple weeks and gave us a nice report on our gutters condition after cleaning them and we'll likely have them replace those for us in a couple years. I hired All Surface to re-stain the front and rear deck on one of my homes. After the initial job, I was very unhappy for a variety of reasons and was expecting a great deal of difficulty getting the job re-done to my satisfaction. Had I posted a review then, it would have been one-star and very detailed. (If you want to see an example of such a review, read my other reviews and you'll find one). To my surprise, however, everyone at All Surface was very easy to deal with, acknowledged that mistakes had been made, and did everything that I believed was necessary to make it right. While it's never good when things go wrong, it gave me a rare opportunity to see what All Surface does when things go wrong. In that regard, they greatly exceeded my expectations. I have used All Surface for two roofing projects now (I'm a property manager). Excellent work and great communication. All Surface is one of the only companies I have encountered that will take the time to outline what *should* be done to make things right if there are existing problems with the roof. For example, on one property we knew there weren't enough roof vents and it had been resulting in moisture issues in the attic. Without my having to say anything, the bid they submitted included installing additional roof vents. There were less expensive bids, but they were for the "quick and dirty" reroof with no changes. All Surface recommended replacing our valley flashing to fix a leak situation. We agreed and expected a $1200 job. When the crews came to do the job, however, one of the roofers pointed out that the shingles overlapping the valley flashing had not been installed correctly, and simply cutting them to the proper angle would fix the problem. This saved several hours of work, and also the necessity of patching our roof with mis-matched shingles, since the original kind is no longer available. All Surface Roofing's honesty and expertise cost them some income, and saved me money. That's real integrity, in my view. PS A previous roofer last fall had already failed to fix the problem. I am confident that All Surface identified the real issue and that my attic will be dry next winter. I highly recommend them. read more

This company does poor quality work, has no customer service skills after your roof has been installed and payed for. They have no idea how to install the proper flashing, causing water damage years later. My wife and I spent over ten thousand dollars to have and our old roof torn off and new installed as part of our contract they were to inspect and replace plywood and roof joists as needed and now three years later we are finding dry rot, and water damage due to improper flashing. I told the receptionist that I had a TPO roof since not everyone works on them and she said they did do them.. I waited almost a month for an estimate. They are busy and I get that. When he got here he almost immediately decided he didn't want to do the job. He said they didn't work on TPO very often. I asked about framing if there were repairs needed. He said they didn't do any of that. I have never seen a roofing company that can't replace a fascia board. They advertise skylights on their website. You gotta do some framing to install a skylight. So I waited a month for All Surface Roofing to find out in 5 minutes they were not interested in doing work I was told they do. I am finding that some roofing companies are not booking any work at this time since they are so busy. I lost a month waiting for them. It's a very busy month and they just sent me to the back of the line. Really disappointing. Seems to be a lack of integrity from my perspective. read more

Person from ASR&C informed me after checking the roof that roof was in great shape and was completely dry under the tiles. He even checked the window frame outside to make sure there wasn't any leak.
