I really don't give bad reviews but this poor communication and poor job really harmed our timeline…read moreon our home sale. Absolutely avoid if you want an honest assessment or technician willing to work. I confirmed in advance that we wanted our sewer line cleaned to comply with our inspection during our home sale. The technician came out and said he was going to scope it first, not the service we asked for, and then told my husband repeatedly it didn't need to be cleaned. I later got an email with a recommendation for a cleaning at $1400 and a bill for $154 for scoping the line. I already have an appointment to have the line scoped after the cleaning tomorrow by the original company who scoped it. Never asked for a scope, asked for a cleaning. I've attached the communication that they could do the cleaning while in site. Really challenging when the technician said no cleaning necessary, no repairs necessary and then sends an estimate for recommended cleaning and repair. Moving on to the next company who can maybe do the work we hire for and not waste hours of our time and now days.

They've all helped me in various ways, the past few years, during both emergencies and routine maintenance. It all started in Labor Day 2021, when I had just flown here from Arlington, VA (Washington, DC), to "hug my dad for surviving COVID," as he returned home from the hospital after starting at the VA, then being at a private hospital for 5-weeks, and he was scheduled to be discharged Labor Day weekend, just as his basement sewage plumbing backed up! I was so overwhelmed. I called 1.800 Water Mitigation, to remove all the HAZMAT, then get going on the dehumidifiers, fans, and worked with USAA to re-build the entire basement thereafter, and for the stopped-up toilet, I called Hyper Flow. James helped me snake the basement toilet, and begin to explain all of home plumbing to me. That was 4-years ago. Then I began hiring Hyper Flow to slowly rebuild two upstairs toilets that my dad had perhaps not maintained as well as ideal (he was on fixed income, after all, so no judgment), as well as the two upstairs bathroom sinks, then ultimately I hired them to replace the Kitchen Sink Faucet (James did this work, as Brian was the manager, who helped me assess the problem and do the estimate). James also helped me get my Water Heater (that a different company installed, that was no up-to-code) up to code, per the retroactive Home Inspection, and James helped me install a mainline water shutoff. My house is finally in ship-shape - on plumbing, electrical, and HVAC - all thanks to Kyle, the owner of Hyper Flow. Highly recommend! FYI, they've also jetted my lateral sewage line pipes - twice - and I will be hiring them for the excavation of the line that connects to my HOA main sewage line, before it connects to the City of Denver, once that time comes. Great work, great value, and - most of all - I trust them & their work.

Sewer main replacement (clay) Oct 2024: Sewer Lines Only (SLO) scoped and replaced my outdoor 90yo clay sewer line. They said the internal cast iron was solid, and I was scheduled within the week. Hyperflow's estimate said the cast iron needed replacement. The team of 3 was on time, worked independently, and was able to put the fence back up that needed to be taken down. No issues, until 2026. Sewer main backup (May 2026): "Flushable" wipes got caught on the rough interior cast iron, and caused a backup. Fit-It-24-7 came and cleared the clog, and sent a second tech to do a scope, with the water OFF. Both techs said "Look at the high areas (yellow in the attached pic) where the cast iron is 'trenched'. The high sides are the pipe, and the in the section with the muddy water, that's where it's completely rusted through, and leaking sewage." They quoted a 8month teacher's salary to do a repair. SLO came to do a scope. The tech (Cameron - very intelligent guy) kept the water RUNNING, so his scope had a clear view of the bottom of the pipe. "The cast iron is rough, so it snagged the wipe. It's in good shape though." But - what about the trenching? "Look here - the water is clear, and you can see to the bottom and see the cast iron. What looks like a 'trench' is just decades of built up residue/oils. The pipe is beneath that (see green circle in my pic) There's no leak, but I recommend a rotary chain to resurface the cast iron, to remove rough areas that snag wipes." The cost was 99% less than the bogus quote.

I was 7 days from closing on a sale, the line was discovered during inspection. The other duplex owner was rightfully out of her mind because the line ran under her beautiful stamped patio. Sewer Lines Only recommended tunneling under the patio from my property. We had (I'm counting....) 7 very reputable sewer companies quote this job. No one else mentioned going in from the side, and when I circled back to ask, none could. SLO's quote was 25% lower than the next lowest bid (thousands in savings) and 50-75% lower than most bids. So I was hesitant. Enter Joe from SLO - a project manager or engineer? He was so confident they could do this job from the side (really confident, not salesy confident), he made himself available to me at any time to explain the work but never once called me to "seal a deal." He probably took 20 calls/texts from me. I took the gamble and got on a plane to Denver. Jerry and his team showed up promptly for the job, were professional, courteous, and thorough. The line was fixed, no patio or fence demo required. When a possible additional leak was discovered with scoping, Joe came out and confirmed personally that there was no issue. Enter Monica in Billing who went the extra mile to figure out how to split invoicing to bill the other owner her portion and free my property up for sale. And did it gladly. Intelligent, progressive solutions, lower-cost, personalized service - same as in 2024 when I worked with Cameron. They dug a trench in my garage and repatched with concrete. No issues 2+ years in. I'll never use anyone but SLO.

The clog was quickly found to be an issue of hardware that "toileting" items were catching on and the sewage was backing up into my unit/condo. He got the camera out, and videoed the entire situation as proof of damage to the underneath of my condo, the clog in the line and it was immediately sent to my HOA, who, before this plumber left the restoration team was on the phone and the "nightmare" of restoration began. Mike was very pleasant knowing what I was about to deal with and had nothing but great information, and fantastic customer service with getting me at least to the point of having no further issues of flooding under my home. He billed the HOA and that was the part I felt bad for as they never got back to him or contacted him after he tried numerous times. I finally emailed the board members directly to get him paid almost 3 months after the job was completed. He was never rude, never put the bill into collections, or made it hard for me to get him paid by the HOA. MIke is an exceptionally easy to work with guy, great customer rapport, and I recommend his services to anyone who needs someone easy going to help them out.

I asked him on the phone how much he would charge me for clearing a clogged toillet and he told me $98.00. I asked him to come by. He came over and within 5 minutes cleared the toilet and then wrote me an invoice that came out to an even $100. He was professional, did not try to upsell me, did not try to BS me in any way, and just fixed the problem, charged me what he told me it was going to cost, and left. What a refreshing experience. I will call on these guys anytime I need anything done, and will refer him to everyone I can. As for Precision Plumbing...........my advice to everyone is to stay away from them. What they tell you on the phone is not what I was told, and even when the guy came out and I rejected his first offer to clear my toilet for $260, then he told me he had to go call his boss to see if he could do better. He came back in in less than a minute and told me he would do it for $160. This, all after they dispatcher told me it would be $59 plus parts...... While he was here my sewer was backing up when he tried to drain the water heater. He asked that we get it cleared before he finished the job. We called Homeservice plumbers and they came out, said there was a block and they would have to tear up the basement and the starting price was almost 7k. More if they found other problems and they repeatedly tried to use, used car sales tactics and scare tactics to get me to replace Joe as my plumber and destroy the basement to clear a "block". Joe recommended Colorado Sewer Service and they came out and cleared the "block" in 10 minutes for 1/50th of what they were going to charge to tear up the basement and install a new unnecessary pipe just to begin with, which I am sure they would have tried to turn into a 20k plus job. Very impressed. I got a quote from a number of different plumbers in the area for a very challenging task. I needed to put a kitchen in an area with concrete floors with Radiant floor heat that had never had a kitchen before. Jordan and Duncan with Dr. Drain were the only ones up for the task, the other plumbers were scared of scope and/or the liability of the project given the precision needed, Jordan was enthusiastic, and his expertise was clear with how simple he made the task seem. Jordan's quote was reasonable considering the work that was put into the job, but I am very happy I chose him for the project. He went above and beyond, assisting the electrician with his thermal imaging software to avoid puncturing any of the radiant floor tubing. In addition he was able to pull off a very large project in a short time frame, overall I am very lucky to have found a true Master Plumber with the skills to do it all. I highly recommend Dr. Drain! My wife and I woke up to a leaking water heater recently and I immediately started calling plumbers. Jordan was one of four I called. He answered all my questions and pretty much diagnosed the issue over the phone. I like that he was patient and never rushed me to make a decision until I was ready. We ended up needing a new water heater. Jordan was able to install it with his assistant the same day. He was running a little late and get this....he actually called to let me know. This simple courtesy goes a long way in my book. He was comparably priced with the other plumbing companies, which is important but not the most important thing. I randomly and fortunately discovered water gushing in a basement window while watering the lawn. I trust Yelp reviews so started a panicked search for a plumber on a Monday night. I emailed Dr. Drain (who kept popping up as #1 on Plumbers in Boulder) that evening, talked to Jordan at 7am the next morning and his knowledgeable and professional employee, Duncan, showed up exactly on time, at my property at 3pm the next day! Dr. Drain once again resolved my plumbing issue with their expert knowledge applied to the plumbing situation presented to them. Brett, one of Dr. Drain's plumbers, carefully examined my outdoor faucet leak, used his math skills to locate the hidden water pipe inside the wall, and proposed a resolution that was the least intrusive to the building. Brett's cut was accurate and the hidden water pipe was revealed which allowed easy access to replace the outdoor faucet and water pipe that needed to be connected inside the wall. Great drain clearing service by Jordan without all the bait and switch add-ons provided by the lower cost services. He charged $309, including camera work before and after, with the best guarantee: no payment if he can't clear the line. He uses more powerful equipment than the cheaper services. Don't fall for the $95 service offered by others -- I tried them and they are a scam. They come out, use their lower power equipment unsuccessfully, and then try to get you to upgrade for major repairs. After a week moving into our new home the basement bathroom toilet started backing up and 'bubbling'. Being new to the area we researched local plumbers and reading the reviews of Dr Drain/Jordan we called him immediately. We explained the problem and he came out the next morning to snake the pipe. He also noticed the toilet had not been properly installed so he fixed that as well. We were expecting a large price to pay but he absolutely kept within his estimated quote for the work. I was super happy with Jordan. We had a nasty block in one of the pipes in the wall, so much so that the snake couldn't break through it, he had to use his high pressure water blaster. These people are like any small business, yes the parts are cheaper and you could have gone out bought them yourself. These people are in business to make money, NOT show you how to do it so you can save some money. Now I'm not saying it's ok to take advantage of people and there are plenty of companies that do. These are not one of them. I will continue to use them in the future, unless they give me a reason not too.

We had an undermount kitchen sink installed and needed the garbage disposal and pvc installed. I don't enjoy spending time under the sink so I thought we'd pay a plumber to take care of it. Flatirons quoted us $1300. I paid less than $50 for a new flange, pvc pieces, some putty, etc. and installed it in less than an hour. I don't know how they can justify their pricing. They were prompt and professional, but do yourself a favor and line up a couple different quotes because this one was offensive.

I made a request on Yelp for help on a Saturday and Brent at B-Line replied right away. He came on Monday and made recommendations and quoted a price for the work. He fixed the shower and replaced our 40 year old toilet with a modern water efficient Toto for a very reasonable price. He was friendly, professional, respectful and did a great job. I reached out Brent and he stayed in great contact about when he could come out. When he did arrive, he did a quick check and let me know what was needed and how much it would cost - he was very transparent and did not try to upsell me on anything, or get me to do anything else that wasn't really needed. The price he charged for the repair was very reasonable, and he was in and out in less than an hour. Great experience overall and if I need plumbing or repairs again I'll be reaching out to Brent again!
