Hubby had the breakfast smash burger and potatoes with a never ending refill of Coca-Cola. He LOVED it all! The waitress was on the spot with refills and the staff was busy but not harried. My salad was sub par. Spring greens and spinach plopped from a bag with a small smattering of peas and maybe one cut up piece of asparagus and some tiny chunks of a good goat cheese topped with too much crunchy quiñoa and a dressing that was overwhelmingly vinegary. The freshly brewed coffee was nothing special but did keep flowing nicely. The gift shop had so much to browse through. We were looking for something new to try and found Coopers Uptown using Yelp. The inside has a cafe counter, an order counter, some seating, and a small shop with different items in it. I didn't look around much, we went out to sit on the patio. We ordered the lemonade and blueberry lavender lemonade. Both were really refreshing and I really liked the blueberry flavor in mine. We had the turkey club and the smash burger for our lunches. The turkey club was big, plenty of food for one person. The flavors melded together and when paired with a fruit cup it was amazing. The smash burger was well seasoned, cooked well, and picture perfect. Seriously, usually when you get these things you get sad, wilty lettuce and a small slice of tomato. Not here, the lettuce was vibrant and you could see and taste the tomato. The server we had was super attentive, the food was out surprisingly quickly, and the ambience was perfect for a Sunday afternoon lunch. The price was my favorite part, totally affordable for anyone. Two meals and two drinks less than $40 is a win for me. All in, a solid stop and we will be back. The only reason I didn't give them a fifth star is because even though they have a great selection of items, I didn't see a ton that I personally wanted. This is a wonderful little cafe tucked away in Kenosha. The chicken salad sandwich is to die for and honestly every cold sandwich I've ordered has been worth it, but the smash burger is money and recommend it. Try their specialty drinks and coffee selection you will not be disappointed. Cooper's is priced right and the serving sizes are perfect. My sister Camille and I continued our tradition of coming to Cooper's (formerly Andrea's) when we come to Kenosha. Our experience was incredible as always. The server was very helpful, friendly and genuine. Our brunch was delicious and the menu has a nice variety. The shopping space is beautiful as always with something for everyone. We decided to stop for lunch on our way home to the Chicago suburbs, and found this little gem about 10 minutes off the highway. Decided to split the smash burger and a shake (had a big breakfast!). We upgraded to the side of fruit. They served everything to us already split in half!! And everything was delicious! Loved the bacon aioli on the burger and the fruit was fresh! I was heartbroken to hear Kenosha was losing Andrea's. Luckily Cooper's has taken over to carry on this adorable gift shop and cafe's presence in my hometown. When I walked in, it feels the same. All the stylish gifts are available, and everything is displayed so beautifully. All the springtime and Easter items are out, along with clothing, jewelry, home decor and even the cigars. Why change a good thing right? With all the familiarity, there is a new, fresh feeling to Cooper's Uptown. The cafe is in the same corner and looks warm and inviting. We visited in the afternoon on a Sunday. As we were asking the nice man about the cafe offerings, he kindly told us we could still order coffee items or ice cream. He also showed us the menu and seemed so proud of this charming cafe. I will definitely try breakfast or lunch on my next visit. In addition to the wonderful man at the cafe, the ladies in the retail area were so sweet and friendly. They were all smiles and welcomed us in. They asked if we needed assistance and created a very nice, helpful atmosphere. I really loved my first visit to Cooper's Uptown and I will definitely return the next time I am in town. read more

This is a best little traditional breakfast and lunch spot in Kenosha. Cooper's Uptown has captured the traditional feel and food quality of the original Andrea's diner and gift shop which closed after the pandemic. From delicious breakfast staples like pancakes and French toast to heathy upbeat trendy breakfast bowls, everything is perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. Excellently prepared sunny-side up eggs, crisp bacon, roasted red potato hash browns with fresh muffin bread toast is my favorite "old school" breakfast. Visited yesterday with my wife and I was thrilled, they did a beautiful job bringing this place back up from the closure of Andrea's. It reminded me very much of Andrea's. Similar food, chocolates, cigars, clothing, gifts, very much like the old place. Got myself some Upmann cigars (not an easy brand to find) and we ate at the café. I got the chicken club and my wife got the Rueben, both were excellent. Service was great, too. read more
