I purchased a car from Thomas Rogers after being referred to him by a mutual acquaintance. I spoke…read moreand text Mr. Rogers in detail about what I was looking for in a vehicle. He promised me that he could find what I was asking within my price range. My demands were very simple and reasonable. I told him I absolutely did not want a V8 and I did not want to pay over 8,000 for the vehicle. Since Mr. Rogers was purchasing the car at an auction out of town, he sent pictures back of vehicles that he thought I would be interested. He sent me pictures of a truck that he misrepresented as a V6 and said it would be within my price range. In order to get the vehicle, I was told that I had to send $1,000 to hold the car so that it would not sell to anyone else at the Crysler Financial Auction in Texas. Then, I was asked to travel to Jackson, MS where I was to meet with an Omini Bank representative, Mr. Bobby Jones to complete my paperwork for the vehicle . The first sign of trouble was when Mr. Rogers told me that I had to quickly travel to Jackson, MS to complete loan papers on a vehicle that at that point I had not seen. This is how he gets you because once you sign the loan paperwork for the unseen vehicle, you have no recourse if their is a problem with the vehicle. Secondly, the paperwork at the bank listed the vehicle for $1,000 more than I was told. Mr. Thomas explained to me that he would be absorbing those cost and that I did not have to worry about it. I was told that after and only after the paperwork was completed, the vehicle would be loaded onto a truck and sent to Mr. Thomas Rogers. When the vehicle arrived one week later, Mr. Rogers told me that he had to put it in the shop because of a broken windshield which occurred during transport. Following an additional week and a half of waiting for the vehicle, I was told I could pick up it up from a glass company in Jackson. Once I arrived to the glass company, the first thing I notice was that the vehicle was a V8. I was outraged by this because I specifically told Thomas Rogers that I did not want a V8 by any means. I called Mr. Rogers immediately and he told me that he was not aware that the vehicle was a V8 when he bought. He said that he thought that the truck was a V6. I asked him, how can you purchase a vehicle and not know that it is a V8? He replied that he made a mistake. The next thing my friend and I noticed about the vehicle was that there was a link in the exhaust. When I asked Mr. Rogers about it, he stated that he knew about it and had asked his mechanic to fix the problem. He ensured me that he would have it fixed within the next week. Once I got the vehicle home, after driving it for a few days it started smoking. My friend took the car to a mechanic to check it out and he informed me that the vehicle had a crack in the head and that it would cost upwards of $1,500 to fix. I then again called Mr. Thomas who told me that he was not aware of the cracked head and that he would look into how much it would cost to get the vehicle fixed. Days went by and I did not hear from Mr. Thomas. At this point I felt as though I was not going to get anywhere with Thomas Rogers, so I decided to look into trading the car in and taking a lost on it since at this point this vehicle is un-driveable. To my surprise when I took my car to a local dearlership to get a trade in value on it, they informed me that the vehicle was worth nothing more than $3,500 on a trade it, his after I had just financed the vehicle for $10,000 days before. The car dealership told me that the vehicle had come back as a "Salvage Vehicle" thus causing the low quote. Once I found this out, I again tried to contact Mr. Rogers. After calling him with no response I finally decided to text him. I told him what was told me and he informed me that he did not know that the vehicle was listed as a salvage title. Now, I'm totally dumbfounded! So, not only did you sell me a vehicle that I did not want, now I am dealing with a vehicle with an exhaust issue, cracked head and salvage title! None of which I was informed before the purchase of the vehicle. So, to put it plainly, do not trust Thomas Rogers of Southern Autoplex, Inc. located on Bailey Ave. in Jackson, MS. If you do decide to purchase a vehicle from him, do not sign any paperwork with the bank until you are able to inspect the vehicle in person. He will lie to you and try to get you to sign loan papers before the vehicle arrives but that is a ploy to get you locked in on a purchase that he can not back.

If I could give this place -5 stars I would. Management SUCKS. They are giant dooters. The…read more"managers" here are anything but functional. For instance every time I have seen a car come out of the detail shop there the person over it, Judy, seems like her shit attitude just gets worse. Also, without calling anyone out there is a lot of adulterous things going on in that car lot that people over look just because the persons mom is of higher power.
