The pool is heated and right outside the Tiki bar, which was very convenient. There was live entertainment even in the morning and afternoon. The restaurant was closed (late in the season) but they did serve some food in the Tiki. All in all, a very nice stay.

There were roaches in the room, the bathtub was disgusting and clearly not cleaned properly, and the couch was so dirty it was uncomfortable to sit on. It was easily one of the most unhygienic hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. On top of that, the front desk staff weren't friendly or helpful. We weren't given any information about the property or amenities, and they seemed uninterested in offering any kind of service. The parking lot was mostly closed off due to construction, and we weren't warned about that either, which made getting in and out of the property a hassle. This place advertises itself as a "resort," but charging $600 for this experience is unacceptable. It felt more like a rundown motel than a relaxing getaway. I don't usually write negative reviews, but travelers deserve to know what they're getting into. I would not recommend staying here. Was called by someone who works here saying "we've never had anyone complain of the rooms being gross. And the exterminator came and didn't find anything". And they were throwing it back on me for not calling to complain. Well in my experience, that tub, carpet, couch and roaches aren't going to be cleaned over night. So what exactly could they have done? The cleaners shouldn't have left this room like this.

They also loaded all our stuff on the boat. Check in was easy and efficient. The Captain walked us thru the boat explaining everything we needed to know for our trip and answered all our questions. During the initial briefing the Captain walked us thru a map of the lake and made some recommendations for beaching. After piloting us out of the marina he offered to demonstrate beaching in a nearby cove which we happily accepted. It was a great location and we ended up staying there that night and relocated the next day. The boat operated flawlessly during our trip and they met us promptly on the morning of our return date which was important to us because we had plans to spend the day at Silver Dollar City. The captain quickly got us into the fuel dock for refuel and pump out. When we arrived back at the dock we were again met by a happy and efficient crew which unloaded our stuff and transported it all to our vehicle. Check out was also quick and efficient. We highly recommend them and would happily book with them agIan.

My kids have grown up in a state where fireworks aren't allowed because the entire state would ignite with just the thought of launching a bottle rocket. So we thought it would be a fun 'socially distanced' vacation to head to the lake! I grew up on a ski boat, visiting Table Rock as a kid/teen/20 something and have always LOVED it there. We frequented What's Up Doc and stayed in the Kimberling City area almost exclusively. I wanted to rent a boat for the entire week we were there. Pipe dream right? Last minute trip AND a boat?!? I called multiple times a day for 5 days in a row before we got there! Everybody was always so nice to me. Nobody was ever mean or annoyed that I kept calling By the time we arrived to our condo (which was also awesome) I just knew Jesse would find me a boat. We had been able to secure 2 different boats for the end of the week but I wanted one all week. We arrived Saturday afternoon on the 4th and less than 24 hours later I got the call from What's Up Dock that they had a boat for me!! And when we went to get it they said there was a cancelation and we got to keep it all week!! I was soooooo excited! Jesse and Sarah and their 'crew' are an amazing staff of well mannered, helpful humans. They made our experience at the lake exponentially better. If I could give 10 stars I would. Thanks guys!!
