The atmosphere is that of a home rather than of a facility. The place is immaculately clean. Meals are home-cooked and healthy. The ratio of aides to residents is much higher at Greenview than at larger facilities and so all of the residents can receive individualized, timely care. The staff is carefully trained and very caring. The owner (Danka) has a wealth of knowledge about senior care and is expert at providing hands-on care herself. She is there daily, overseeing every aspect of the facility and of the care. Family and visitors are welcomed and become part of the loving community at Greenview. What a difference!

Almost like a fancy resort! The pros of this facility: Good food, good drink, excellent nursing staff that actually go the extra mile for their patients. Very clean throughout the entire facility. Everything was very accessible for wheelchairs, walkers and loading and unloading by the front door. The receptionists at the front desk were always warm and welcoming. Great physical therapy program, but they are tough on you. But, they have to be! Also no worries about people stealing your possessions in this facility. She's been to other facilities where they will steal anything if it's not bolted down! Cons: The only con was the varying wake up time between 4:30 - 5:30 a.m. in order to be up and ready for breakfast at 7:00 a.m. Even if you need assistance getting ready, the hurry up and wait is pretty ridiculous! It's understandable that the staff have a schedule to go by, but c'mon now! Other than that, my Mom says she was treated like a VIP there! Thanks for taking such great care of my Mom, guys! After being in two other facilities, she found her home in Hudson Springs Nursing and Rehab. The care that she was given and the companionship and compassion shown to her was remarkable. Our friend communicated via a device on which she typed with her eyes. This was a lengthy procedure and yet the staff was patient, friendly, and respectful as they waited for her to finish the conversation. The administration worked with us to meet all her needs. Our requests and suggestions were respected and addressed. Unfortunately, our friend passed away. We were with her for the last days of her life as we supported her transition. The staff went way beyond the call of duty supporting us yet giving us the space we needed at this delicate time. Even after her passing, they still showed her the same respect while they prepared her for her last journey. The knowledge that she ended her life in a place surrounded by staff who considered themselves part of her family and friends is a comfort to us.
