Great food. The service and the food at this restaurant was amazing. We had the lobster Mac to start and it did not disappoint. We all followed up with wine tasters to try out a couple of wines. They also had root beer floats for the kids. All the food was amazing but some of our favorites were the shrimp tacos and the short rib burger. To wrap up the meal we had the s'mores dessert. Copp just opened here and we are so happy. We love the beer and wine selections. My wife got the creamsicle beer but fell in love with the cucumber beer. It was delicious. I started with a coconut porter that was smooth and delicious. Our servers were very friendly and busy. I ordered the blackened haddock and a side of homemade fries. The blackened was a little light and the fish portion was small . They put a lot of avocado on them and the crema was good. My wife got the chicken and waffles. The waffles were light and the honey cinnamon sauce was real good . Her ancho roasted corn was very ancho but needed something else to give it more flavor. We enjoyed our meals and want to try other items on the menu. read more

We decided to give them a try one last time last week, and we were pleasantly surprised! Our favorite employee was back, so that was a huge bonus. The ownership has been updated, and the lively, welcoming vibe is back. The menu has been pared down, and you have to order at the bar, where they give you a buzzer. When it buzzes, you pick up your food at a counter in the side room. I have no problem with that. Copp is going through some changes, and they are definitely for the better. I look forward to making this one of our go-to places once again. read more

The details inside the building are great. We now understand why it took so long. Smart planning with the area you can get a drink and sit or stand out of the entrance while waiting for a table. Samuel in the beer tap room area is a plus. He explained why the beer is cold but not ICE cold, or with frosty mugs.... it changes the taste. I did not know that and he was happy to add ice if I so wanted. They can seat many and feel the rooms divided is a huge plus as you can actual talk at your table. ( so many establishments are so noisy, Copp put great thought into this!) Ordered the crawfish nachos, they were not to our liking with the bean stuff, but that is us. This was my 2nd visit to Copps -- have to say bringing in a group of 14 for our ladies monthly lunch there were mixed reviews from why is the bacon fried on the BLT club to i asked for season veggies with my club and got fries/ Rueben awful - person ordered a scotch egg for $12 and literally got 1 hard boiled egg sliced in halves on a plate no fries or side --$12 for 1 egg-- prices are high for what you get - food is tasty but not worth what you pay - glass of sangria $6 for a 1/2 glass of wine no fruit -- i think this place would be better off if they stuck to reasonably priced bar food to go with the drinks instead of trying to be fancy it just does not work .. love the atmosphere the decor and the industrial vibe but the food is not worth the price read more

Great potential. The building & decor are very nice and the beer and wine are very good! They get 3 stars because of the food and slow service. I'm sure it's hard to get enough staff for a place this size, so I'm not marking them down too much for that. The food is where things fall down. We were a party of 7 and we had appetizers and 7 different entrees. The poke appetizer was disappointing...the fish was good, but everything else in the dish lacked flavor. And flavor is where everything else was lacking. Very bland and not what I would call inspired dishes. I believe Mr. Copp is contracting out the food service portion of his business and I'm sure they will get it right in time. If I am ever in Crystal River again, I will give them another try, because the beer and wine really is Very good! read more

My initial reaction to this business was wrong. Given the current difficulties getting help and a totally unique business, they have done a great job. To my knowledge this is the only establishment of it's type in existence. From the beer to the wine, the food and the sauces are all hand made on site. The atmosphere is awesome. As they get more experience and staff, they will increase their hours, add entertainment and open the beer garden. Stop in and enjoy. It has been a labor of love for a very small number of people. read more

My husband and I were very excited to see Copp finally opening the restaurant after 6 years! We sat in the brewery area and the food, beer, AND service was delightful. Sadly, the next time we came in we tried to sit in the brewery bar again but were told we could not order food and had to move inside and wait for a table. Poor service and stressful atmosphere. Disappointed to say the least. Maybe Seafood Seller bit off more than they could chew :( read more

Bad food, good drink! We met some friends at Copps yesterday for dinner. The food was not good! I had the crawfish Etouffee Nachos, they were bad! I love a good etouffee, but this was uneatable! There was an unidentified dripple of something in the nachos, which was covered in semi-melted cheese. Try as I might, there was no way this could be eaten. We packed up most of it to try at home, but when we opened the box, it was even worse and we threw it out. The drinks were good, but expensive. They brew their own beer and make their own wine, that I would recommend. Next time, if there is a next time, we will go for a drink and then depart for a restaurant that has eatable food. read more

The service was fantastic, I have to give them an AAA+. The food was NOT. We had the coconut shrimp appetizer and it was not good at all. It tasted of stale vegetable oil - and that was ALL we could taste. The sauce served with it had no taste at all - not sure what it was supposed to be. Husband tried the Cheesesteak -- meh. Not much flavor. I had the Margarita Shrimp Tacos. The corn tortillas tasted stale and were just "off". The shrimp were rubberized - cooked waaay too long. Two small shrimp in each "taco". The Aeoli sauce didn't have much flavor either. We were pretty disappointed. We've been there before and enjoyed it. Hoping it was just and "off" night - but we aren't going to rush to go back. read more

Could be a great restaurant but...as I was sitting there talking with my friends I looked around and started noticing all the cameras hanging from the ceiling. Everywhere! No matter which direction you looked there was a camera pointing back at you! What's that all about! I felt like I was under surveillance! Where the cameras really need to be is in their kitchen on the cook! well our first afternoon dinner was top notch. Great oxtail sandwich..soft yummy bread lots of meat, grilled onions, mushrooms, sauce.......great seafood/crab soup, great lamb chops. Then we came back a few nights later at 8 .... The oxtail sandwich bread was toasted hard with not much inside, the ceviche had little taste. Chose to dine with them on a Friday night at 7:15PM and was turned away. We first looked for a spot at the bar which was full, then went to the hostess to list for a table. She informed us that they were no longer taking people because there were too many on the wait list. Seriously? She said that was correct and told us to come another day. Our money was spent elsewhere that night. Well I liked it. Service was good, but I didn't find what I was looking for. Will try again but need to increase their menu a bit. More steaks or prime rib. Everything is $20-28 now or more.
