Buyer Beware. More than four months ago, we ordered the Kelly Ocean Blue Arch Display Cabinet and four distressed bar stools from Copper Barn. Since placing our order, we have repeatedly attempted to contact the company through email, phone calls, and the chat feature on their website. Despite our numerous attempts, we have not received a single response or update regarding our order. We understand that shipping delays can occur; however, a complete lack of communication for over four months is unacceptable. Customers deserve transparency, responsiveness, and basic customer service. Due to the company's failure to communicate or resolve this matter, we are taking the following actions: Filing complaints with the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs and the South Carolina Attorney General's Office, filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). contacting our credit card companies to dispute the charges. consulting with our attorney regarding our available legal options. We ordered a table for $1800 dollars in March and we haven't talked to anyone on the phone everytime we call it refers us to an app. We got a email saying it'd be ready in about 2 weeks to a month and the email was probably sent to us over 2 months ago. So I drove to Columbia to the address listed and it looked like an empty warehouse. I talked to the people that had a business near by and they said they haven't seen anyone there in weeks. So now we are probably going to dispute it with our bank. It's sad because we really were looking forward to getting this table and they don't communicate at all. I am hoping I have the furniture I ordered in February delivered this Saturday 6-20, but I'll believe it when I see it. The website works sporadically and the phone is never answered. do not order from this company, they are scammers. you order something and pay for it 16 weeks in advance and never get the product, nor do you ever get to speak with an actual person. customer service is horrendous. an automated response is sent in a website chat and nothing is ever resolved. my advise would be to cancel any orders you may have made because you will never get it. read more

I ordered a dining room set from this company and long story short, the wood started to split on top of the table. They replaced it with a new one the first time no problem. 2 weeks after replacement the same thing started happening. They had told me they wouldn't be replacing it because manufacturer said it was because the table was placed in direct sunlight, under a vent, it has been exposed to hot plates or pans or had abrasive products used on it. Well none of those things had been the case. In fact when they came to replace the first table, the feet fell off of the table when they picked it up! Then they told me the delivery guys said it was stuck to the ground. A quality product doesn't just fall apart because it's "stuck" to the ground. The products are not quality in any way. Everything is made from plywood and pine. the customer service is horrendous to a point they actually made me write a review. I do not recommend this company at all. Customer service is a joke and the Products look good but are made of shit material with shotty craftsmanship. read more

Absolute WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! Lots of horrible reviews on multiple sites. Owner snaps back at every negative review. These people should not be in contact with the public or take lessons on customer service. Rude owner. I was soooo excited to drive from Charlotte to make purchases. We got delayed by a wreck on the interstate so I called to make sure they were not closing early... they firmly confirmed they would be closing at 3pm. Once we entered... they were putting things in order to close. Every question we had was dismissed by owner. She absolutely DID NOT WANT TO HELP US... she referred to their "online sales" multiple times. Why have a store front... 2days a week/ several hours only?? Finally I walked out... I wouldn't give them a penny of my money. BTW... a customer wrote a legit negative review about a horrible experience. On Sunday, I drove from out of state to visit Copper Barn Furniture store of Columbia, SC. This store has limited hours of operation. They're only open on Saturday's and Sunday's from noon-3. On the 12th they closed an hour early for Mother's Day because working three hours is apparently too much. I arrived at their sketchy looking warehouse at 2:10 and ran into the workers who were closing the store. I told the lady that I had several orders and there was one item I had ordered online that I wanted to see in person. She told me no I couldn't go in and they only opened for two hours that day. The reason I wanted to look at one of the items I had ordered was to see their appearance and quality. After I placed two big orders from this website I had seen a post about the quality of furniture that had gotten me a bit worried. Then I started comparing what they've written about the furniture on their website to other furniture companies. I didn't see any furniture place have postings about how the furniture lives and breathes with the seasons, often displaying slight movement due to changes in temperature and humidity, or do not drag pieces across the floor as this will cause damage or weaken joints. After telling the lady about how I just wanted to look at one item I had ordered I told her how I'm out of state. That didn't matter to her. She proceeded to give me this passive aggressive spill about how it was too difficult and inconvenient to let me in. As I'm walking to my vehicle, another customer arrives and I tell her this place is closed. She gets upset too because she has also come from out of state. She asked to go in to get a piece she had ordered and the employee allowed her inside the warehouse. But I wasn't allowed to go inside just to look at one piece. I went online and chatted with the computer because you can't talk to a person about the issue I had just had on the phone. I wanted to bring this up to them before posting a review. They didn't care and charged me a stocking fee for all the items I ordered. The stocking fee is outrageous. I'm incredibly displeased with this company's embarrassing lack of customer service. Their hours of operation are laughable and they should move to being an online-only business immediately. I do not recommend doing business with this company because if anything goes wrong with an order you will likely get no customer service and be charged ludicrous restocking fees. read more

We move every few years and need durable pieces. I happened upon this place by chance and it is everything I've been looking for in furniture. I purchased a bedroom set and decorative items today and I'm very pleased with my purchase and the service I received from the lovely staff at Cooper Barn. When they have a sale, they really have a sale! All pieces are real wood and have such personality. Even my hard to please other half loved it all. This was my first time and I was excited to enter. After being greeted we were not spoken to again. There was horrible service. The owner assumed my girlfriend and I didn't have any money so she was not helpful. When checking out she had her mask under her nose. I'm glad I asked the owner if it was her business because her attitude and bad vibes made me not purchase anything. I was very disappointed. There was a hint of racism and discrimination because when Caucasian people walked in the owner lightened up. I will not be going back with my big purse. We visited this store last year and bought a console cabinet for our living room and buffet for our kitchen. Today we bought a white washed mirrored console for our bedroom. We love the furniture. I love this little shop! I saw an entertainment center on their Facebook page and had to have it, so my husband and I made our way out to the store bright and early on a Saturday morning. Unfortunately, by the time I got there the piece of furniture I wanted had already sold (just my luck); however they had many pieces that were very similar. Prices weren't too bad for the well made furniture they had. I could tell some of the pieces were solid wood which I can justify paying more for then pressed wood. The lady who ran the shop was very nice and took me around the store to show me the different types of pieces they carry and the sale they were having at that time. Overall, I will be coming back but if I see something on Facebook I will be reaching out first to see if they still have it in stock! read more

The name threw me for a loop when my wife mentioned it to me. After some persuasion and a nothing to do kind of day we took a short drive to look over the inventory. After a brief conversation with Josh the co owner, we learned that he and his wife (the other owner) where truly there to help create a unique look for the customer. Their prices where much more than competitive and ever revolving inventory kept everything very fresh and appealing. Not only did I visit the store but I did purchase an amazing dining room set that will accommodate my family and more for years to come. my husband and i ordered a table and chairs. after reading reviews I wanted to cancel the order but would be charged 20% to cancel per their policy which on an $1800 table and chairs is a lot so we just kept it. well it was delivered on July 15th and I alerted the driver that there were globs of dried glue with cardboard on two of the chairs and a hat the tabletop had a spot that had completely different color stain than the rest of the table. the delivery driver proceeds to grab some sand paper and half ass sand off some of the glue including the paint on the chairs. I emailed customer service right away about the damage and today a whole week later I was told basically that it is what it is and it's a distressed set so it's ok. Lesson learNed with this company. It was an expensive lesson but I am posting so other people hopefully see this and make better decisions on the quality of products they buy. I will post pics if I am able to on here.
