My friends and I were recently in Blue Mountain for a weekend out of the city. It was just 3 girls having a weekend away enjoying the village and relaxing. Our first night we opted to stop in at Copper Blues because it looked busy and had a nice patio that seemed to be the spot (we didn't explore past Copper Blues and that was a mistake since there were other busy and nice patios throughout the village that likely would have suited us better). We were sat immediately and had a really friendly waitress. She gave us time to review the menu and our plan was to split a couple appetizers and have a drink. We noticed the menu was expensive. Cocktails were around $18+ and while they weren't the usual suspects like old fashioneds and manhattans, they weren't super unique either. The "sharing plates" were $20ish or more. We figured whatever since it seemed to be a popular place and committed despite the price. Now I want to preface this with the fact that the sharing plates were very tasty. So good, we even kind of ate the garnish because there just wasn't much to share. We got the maple ginger shrimp and the walnut dusted Brie fritters. The former had 3 pieces of shrimp and the fritters were 4 pieces of Brie that would probably be the size of a piece of laughing cow cheese (or smaller). The quality was there but given the cost, we certainly thought we'd get more quantity. The rest of our stay, we'd note places were expensive but not $8 for one piece of shrimp expensive. So, if cost is truly a nonstarter for you, this is a chill place to get nice enough stuff. Nothing truly unique but good quality and friendly service. If you want fun and don't want to spend a bunch to leave hungry, look elsewhere. read more

Had a hair in the steak on my first bite! It was gross and disgusting! The server just switched to a smaller steak for me, didn't make me a complimentary drink to wash the palate or any action to show they care about the customer. The can't even make the celebration cake complimentary because they claimed they are losing money by switching my steak to a clean one! Note that I went 2 consecutive nights and paid over $1000 in total, they would lose money for a small gesture!? Totally not happy with the service and food that night. The 2 star I gave was for the New Year's Eve dinner I went the night before, the food was nailed on, service was efficient, happy, and great! However at the end they over charged me, only gave me back the over charged items but forgot the gratuity I paid on top of tax. We let it go because the server was lovely that night. read more

It's not all bad, but there's not a lot of good about Copper Blues. I'll start with the good - the service was good, it was the only place that had seating at dinner hour, and the food came out at a reasonable pace. I was shocked that other restaurants were quoting us hour wait times during off season at Blue. The drinks were also good (albeit expensive). Unfortunately I just didn't enjoy my meal - most of our table ordered the prime rib, medium rare, and it came basically well done. I've never had such a thin prime rib before, which probably contributed to the reason why it was cooked so thoroughly. There was basically no pink on my meat. The accompanying horseradish was also pretty bad - it tasted like a horseradish paste that had been mixed with water. There was no kick to it at all and had a sour aftertaste. Since it was pretty expensive I ate the majority of it, but definitely wasn't happy about it. Given the prices, I expected a better prime rib. My friend, who ordered 2 alcoholic beverages and the 16oz prime rib, paid $140 including tax and tip - which is absurd. I paid $75 including tax and tip for a non-alcoholic drink and the mediocre 8oz prime rib. I probably would never come back. read more

When you're hitting the slopes, it's nice to take a patio break with some food and drinks for lunch. Walking by, I saw some nice portions so I thought let's give this place a try! Draught beer and a Shirley Temple. Dee-lish. We shared a prime rib sandwich with fries on the side. Man, that gravy dipping au jus was yummy! The sandwich was not small and shareable for light lunch or snack. The fries were crinkly, crispy, and slightly seasoned. We wanted more. Service was friendly and reasonably attentive given the fact we were only one table out of a few sitting outside. I'm glad we made this our lunch spot. Sure, you could get poutine just a few doors away, but to have seating, a table, grub, and booze, I think we made the right choice. read more

The place ambience was amazing. The food dishes all came out nice and finely made. The table server was also constantly checking up on us and making sure we have what we need. The food tends to be on the pricey and more high-end side so it may not be for everyone. What I also did not appreciate was the extremely long wait times to be seated. We did not have a reservation made, but the door attendant assured us that she would be able to work something out for us and have a table ready. There were several constant updates and reassurances about seating us at a table. In the end, where there was an opening was at the high table by the bar counter. We just decided to go with it and have our dinner meals there. It turned out just alright, but not the best and most memorable experience possible. read more

Decided to stop at Copper Blues in Blue Mountain Village for brunch on Monday after an eventful weekend. We got seated promptly right at 11am and they had their menu outside so you can look at it before making a decision. I ended up ordering the smoked turkey and brie croissant with a side of fries. The croissant was served with a slice of pear inside. I thought that the pear was a good idea but one slice was definitely not enough and I didn't get much of the sweet taste they were going for. The croissant paired with the ingredients inside was a bit bland so adding something extra, even a drizzle of honey would have made it better. The fries though were amazing and more of wedges than thin fries. The waitress was super nice and asked us about our trip while sharing her own personal travels as well. If you're looking for a place to eat brunch in Blue Mountain village then definitely check this place out. read more

Delicious. Everyone in the group enjoyed their meals. We also shared multiple salads, appetizers and dessert. Poutine was especially flavorful. Service was professional and she handled the big party well. It was fortunate to have a second chance to eat there and again have well prepared food with attentive service. read more

I came here with a big corporate group and we waited 2.5 hours for our dessert. I'm guessing since the bill was already paid that they thought they didn't have to provide good service? Ugh. The food. They took amazing pieces of jumbo tiger shrimp and cooked it to rubber. So unfortunate. The steak was meh. I will not be returning and advise everyone to save your money and get fast food instead. We made a quick stop here for some beers and crab cakes. The crab cake had a great crust to it. Similar to the breading and crust of a Dutch egg. The filling was full of crabs and other yummy ingredients. Super tasty! read more

Recently did a weekend away to Blue mountain. Stopped in copper blues for lunch since the patio looked so inviting. Service was prompt. We had 2 servers, one was new but was doing great. Came to check on us constantly. Now, the reason I'm only giving 3 stars is the cost of everything. I get that restaurants suffered during COVID and they have to make up for lost time, I get that. But I don't understand how they can justify charging over 20 bucks for a 9 oz glass of wine. (5 oz average cost was 14) And 44 DOLLARS for lobster Mac and cheese?! Come on. 26 for ravioli?! We each ordered a salad. I had the farro tuna salad with a chicken breast. It was tasty but the 4 slices of thinly cut tuna and a quarter of a chicken breast over mixed greens for 32.00, ridiculous. My boyfriend and I decided to go to Copper Blues for a romantic dinner during our stay in Collingwood. When we arrived at the resturant we were seated outside and promptly afterwards we had requested to be seated inside as it was very chilly. The hostess refused even with plenty of seating options. We then had to wait 20 minutes for our drinks with no apology from our waitress. Once we finally ordered our dinner we had recieved our entrees and our appetizers were completely missed when we tried to approach our waitress she was abbrasive and told us she was busy. When we asked for our bill we were ignored by the waitress and once again was told she was busy and very unapologetic. We were very displeased with our service here, the silver lining being that we believe the kitchen did fantastic work and our order came out quick portions were good and food was fantastic. They have a Fallicious deal from Sunday to Friday with meals for $29 ... and that's what Gord got. He ordered the Seafood Platter for 1. He's had it there before and enjoyed it. I ordered the 16oz Country Cut Slow Roasted Prime Rib (minus the veggies). The steak was soooo good ... tender and tasty! I'm glad I got the larger size. I gave Gord a couple pieces too. Summary: fancy place, average food, high price, good location We went here for a company event. We went here for the group dinner. Even though I did not pay for the meal at the end, I could sense this place is expensive. After all, it is in the Blue Mountains Village, which is a tourist spot. Because we are a large group, the restaurant prepared a prix fixe lunch menu. I ordered the lobster soup as the appetizer, steak as main and apple pie (? not sure) as dessert. It was so so, pretty standard and mediocre dinner. It probably does not worth the price. Since we are a large group, I think the restaurant re-made a lot of dishes, and some dishes come out cold. It is a fancy place if you to have a fancy meal outside the cafe. However, I don't recommend it here. read more

Had a pretty good dinner here. Ordered a custom dish with Medallions (cooked perfectly) and shrimp skewers also cooked well. The Chickpea and chicken curry bowl with basmati rice had great flavors and not as heavy of a dish as I anticipated. The Brie fritters app we're good but could be a bit smaller and the calamari were over cooked. For drinks, the wine selection was decent. If you lime lager try their local Collingwood ones on tap. We chose this place because I saw they had Lobster Bisque on the menue and we couldnt get a seat in most places, we agreed to this place. they seemed busy, loved the decor, service seemed friendly yet busy. Our food was very tasty, My dates Poutine Gravy was to die for so delicious but my Lobster Bisque was very satisfying as well Loved it! so we were waiting for our Bill and to pay and found out they dont take debit! YIKES! if we had known! My date went to the debit machine which was empty! YIKES AGAIN! ( I had images of doing the dishes!lol ) I said to the waitress what can we do if we arent able to get money from any of the machines, I basically got a shrug from waitress and an apology for the inconvenience. My Date had to leave the restaurant to see if he could find another machine! ..we were so lucky he was able to get some money out of a machine in another location...so be aware, not sure if this was an issue at the other places as well. I asked to talk to the manager; I told the manager that they needed to let people know that they didnt accept debit cards before seating them, i was told it was out on the sign but it wasnt obvious :( they really need to change that so others dont go through the same issue we did....this was a bit of an inconvenience; thankfully we were able to find a machine that wasnt empty and pay for our Bill. read more

This restaurant is lovely and the view with the glittering lights at night is spectacular. The ambience is very pleasant. I had the most delicious glass of dry white wine to start. We hadn't eaten all day because of packing and driving up for our visit. Both of our salads were beautifully prepared and delicious but far too much dressing and we were too hungry to send them back to be remade. My Mahi-Mahi was beautifully seasoned, but I think they forgot to bring it out (they weren't busy) and had to heat it up numerous times because it was so overcooked it was almost inedible. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and delicious but the rice had nothing in it. No butter, no fragrant seasoning and it was cold. Overall, for a restaurant of this calibre it was a terrible disappointment. When you drive for hours to get out of the city after working long hours for a much anticipated getaway, choose a high end restaurant for a delicious meal and are served such disappointing fare you don't want the added aggravation of sending all your dishes back to the kitchen!!! I realise that they don't depend on repeat business as they always have fresh clientele coming into the resort, but I wish they would take more pride in the kitchen and the food that they serve because the substandard food really put a damper on our evening. read more

I wouldn't recommend this restaurant, at least not for lunch. For the price, it just wasn't worth it. We were really craving calamari, so we wanted to check this place out. It's in a great location but the food was mediocre and too expensive. The calamari was okay, it wasn't anything special. I ordered the smoked trout mousse, which was pretty good, a bit on the salty side and large, which led me to not being able to finish it and making my choice a 'shareable'. The number of crostini bread you were given was not nearly enough. I asked for more and they obliged without charging me extra, thankfully. My sister ordered the beet and goat cheese salad. It was a very small portion, and the sundried tomato vinaigrette didn't exactly compliment the beet flavour. It was just too expensive for its size. Adding any sort of protein was not worth the extra they charged. This small salad was $16.95, and adding chicken breast would be $9.95 extra. My wallet is nowhere to be found. My friend ordered the brie and turkey croissant. Despite the food coming very quickly (suspiciously quickly), her order came wrong. They fixed it, but then the new order took a very long time, enough to ask for an update...twice. When her food finally arrived, you can tell it was left under the lamp for too long. The verdict for the dish was also poor. Our server's hospitality was great, but the service itself distracted. If you crave calamari around the Village, I recommend suppressing it and going for a trusted fast-food burger. read more

I have been visiting Blue Mountain over the years and everytime I am here I AVOID this restaurant. Walking In you are greeted by the waitress she seemed to be super friendly and very talkative the waitresses who work here also know alot of tourists people are visiting Blue Mountain so make sure to DOUBLE CHECK TRIPLE CHECK your bill! They have a habit of making "oppps" mistakes such as charging you for double shots and not the single shots you actually had, what a joke I came to this restaurant twice and this happened on both visits! ..is it really a mistake? I confronted the waitress about this little scam they have going on at this restaurant and got this "mistake" fee off my bill so becareful and their beverage drinks are watered down and the food isnt the greatest they are OVER PRICED for the quality of food and drinks being served here diffently not worth it! The restaurant is always empty so yes there's plently of space to find a place to sit. I wouldnt recommend this restaurant to family or friends or yelpers there are many other restaurants in the area for a fraction of the price and better food. Warning: if you are considering eating here keep a close eye on your bill but I seriously think youd be wasting your money and not enjoy this place at all! I have eaten here several times before and never had an inclination to complain but, this time things were different. The arugula salad was a wet, sour ball. The salad was soaked in dressing and so vinegary, it was barely edible. I was starving and ate half. The calamari was plated with a smear of the dip but it had obviously been smeared an hour or more earlier because it had changed colour on the outside. The only positive is that I don't feel sick. Yet. And although it wasn't the worst situation in the world, the man at the door told me to sit wherever I was comfortable and then no one came over for 30 minutes! It was 2:30 pm and not busy. When I finally went to find the guy, he just sent a girl over that told me I was supposed to wait to be seated and that's why no one knew I was there. I explained to her that I was told to go take a seat but she just repeated that if someone doesn't seat you then the wait staff don't know you're there. Love the location and that you can see the hills in the background. The food was decent but nothing spectacular. The service was horrible. We had to wait 10-15 mins to be greeted, then another 10 minutes for drinks. The food took a normal amount of time. Server never came by to ask how anything was or to refill drinks. Waited around for her to come back for the bill but she never did. Finally asked a manger but then it still took 10 mins to get the bill. The wait staff is really helpful - though harried as there was only one waitress and one bartender at lunch. They said they weren't expecting so many people which is a bit odd because it's lunchtime. We ordered several burgers and the beef rib poutine. The burgers were all cooked to well-done while the fries were okay. The beef rib poutine was the best of what we had. There were two short ribs though they were really fatty and overcooked so the meat was a bit stringy. The sauce was the best part with a dark and rich flavor. It's the only thing I can recommend on the menu. Finally, it's not a good place for families as the kid's menu is pricey. This was our first time to the Blue mountain village and while looking for lunch we decided to try this place. While I agree the prices were very high and had the kids meals not been half off we would not have stayed the food was delicious! My husband ordered the Brie cheese appetizer and while it was small he said it was one of the best things he had ever tasted. I ordered a chickpea curry which I found to be flavorful and a very large portion. I actually took about 1/3 of it home with me.
