Oct 02 2024 This store was to be the highlight of our drive to Jerome, we visited this store and purchased from here before. On this occasion, the lady at the counter accused our son of breaking an item and went on a rant about it. Now accidents happen, I can't say for sure that her claim was true as I didn't see it occur. As parents, we would have gladly paid for the item, but instead she removed it from the storefront and went after our son and his father. Unacceptable on all levels!!! There is always a calm resolve to situations like these, she did not remain composed or in check. How disappointing for such a quaint town, for our visit to be overshadowed by a basement-dwelling troll with absolutely no customer appreciation at all. The Grinch stole Christmas and resides here in Jerome. Shame on this business owner, you really should consider turning this store into an online store, a museum or even bettet yet, do this community a favour and close your doors! Give way to a welcoming business inviting to those who take the time to drive up here. Don't ever shop here, it is not worth the steps down from street level. October 2nd, 2024, we decided to make a trip to Jerome and show the kids what a lovely heritage town this is. We had visited years two years prior and had a lovely encounter with an employee that was not only cheerful, but caring and helpful. So we decided to go back again this year. Of course this was not the only reason we went to Jerome, however I assure you it was the only reason we left after stopping in this store. My son who just turned 14 was accused of breaking a item in her store. She was not only creating a scene, she was embarrassing and humiliating a 14 year old boy who nearly reached tears. I calmly asked her what exactly did he break. She then proceeded to walk to a "Stuffed figurine" that had a small piece of Christmas garland on it that he admitted in touching and fell off. The true value and repair of this was nothing more than a couple of dollars. Whatever the case was, I was prepared to pay for this mishap and my son went as far as saying he would pay for it too. It was at this point she grabbed this figurine and said "you know what? Forget it" took the figurine, went to the back of the store and threw it into what appeared to be a storage room. The entire time I am looking at my son and her and concluded exactly who the juvenile was in this situation, and it wasn't him. Case and point; the value of this damage was negligible and could have very easily been resolved, she attempted to scold my son, it was then I intervened and kindly reminded her that I am the parent, not her. She went on and on and on continuing to embarrass him, make a fool of herself; I was honestly waiting for her to start stomping her feet like a child. After reflecting upon this absurd situation, I recall her watching us (me, my son, my daughter and partner) and seeing all these little notes everywhere "Do not touch" as if we were shopping at a jewelry store. lets face it, it's a high end glue gun craft fair; and takes little to no skill to operate it. It was clear we were targets for this warden, and its even more clear why she operates this store in the bowels of a building. Shame on her and I pitty any children or youth she encounter's. Disgraceful business conduct; she needs to be shipped back to pasture with the rest of the cows. read more

Cute store, bigger than it looks from the outside. You have to go down the stairs from the street level. There are so many unique and fun gifts to be had. Ranging from affordable to expensive imports. I did a few laps and saw new things every time. There is a plethora of decor to choose from. There are Christmas gifts and more. Everything from Christmas ornaments, towreaths, to spices, etc. If you know someone who is a fan of cows, you definitely need to stop in and you won't be disappointed. There were at least 25 cow items to choose from. The owner is super nice and friendly and she took care to wrap all the breakables very nicely for safe transport. I usually do not like to visit Christmas stores in June but we were told that Mooey Christmas had a fun selection of ornaments and other unusual gifts. It is tucked into a side street...down some steps into a basement. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and welcomed. There was only one employee working and she was super friendly. Mooey Christmas and Udder Things definitely represented Christmas throughout the store. There were fully decorated trees, stockings, ornaments, ribbons, gifts and more. Thrown in is lots of cow inspired merchandise. I like cows but have never warmed up to using them to decorate. If it's your thing this is a store for you. My friend is a Christmas fanatic so when we were in Jerome she and my other friends just had to visit. We were not disappointed. There was an amazing collection of Christmas and other holiday items. My husband has a thing for jellyfish so when I saw a jellyfish ornament I just had to get it for him. Sadly when I got it home it fell and broke. When I emailed about what happened they very kindly offered to replace it. That is the ultimate in service. I'd recommend this store to anyone. read more

This place is absolutely adorable. It was our first stop in a shop when we got to Jerome. The clerk was really friendly and welcoming, but didn't make us feel under pressure to buy anything. If you like Christmas decor, you have to come here. I could have spent thousands of dollars!! The ornaments were organized by theme and they had beautiful interactive Christmas decor as well. The shop was spotless, and I didn't feel the merchandise was overpriced, which I would have expected. Definitely stop here to check out this shop when in Jerome! As a holiday fanatic, I have been to many a Christmas store, both in touristy areas and not. This store down some stairs on the main street of Jerome was a great one. The proprietor Diana was so friendly even though it was likely the end of her day when we arrived. There were ornaments of every type and several different decorated trees which were each done in a different theme. She had an incredible selection of music boxes that were also snow globes. She went out of her way to wrap and box each of the items I purchased so they will stay beautiful forever and would not get damaged on the way home. This is the best Christmas store I have ever been to. I had to walk around 3 times just to appreciate the variety of merchandise. On top of a wide variety of ornaments, there are beautiful owner-made wreaths in a variety of themes and local artisan copper leaf ornaments. Definitely my favorite shop in this charming town. Passing through, we came upon this shop with the obvious expectation of "Christmas cheer." Bad day? Maybe. Horribly rude staff member on duty. Seriously hope this wasn't the owner. Shocked to find pictures posted on Yelp as signs throughout say "no pictures!" I was taken aback to see children scolded for admiring items, even before getting close, being told "did you read the sign?! Ask for assistance!!" After witnessing one too many customers being "stalked" and talked down to, walking out, the final straw leading to my decision for writing this review was witnessing a customer attempting to make a purchase, being treated as if it was the staff member's inconvenience, then leaving without so much as a "thank you for your purchase." Warning: Really mean people who hate kids! We were visting for the day with our children (ages 10 and 12) and other family. I was excited to make a purchase of ornaments when the owner snapped at my child not to touch anything. He then told me very rudely that the kids shouldn't touch anything, becasue they're stuff was expensive. I said his customer service skills were lacking, (no one had picked up or touched anything). The woman behind the register then yelled at me and my family (5 adults) saying "you'd be the one yelling when your kids break something and we make you pay for it.". This all happened within a minute of walking in the store, so we didn't even get to see what they offered. They are super crabby, unfriendly people. Like the anti-Santa and Mrs. Claus!
