I had an outstanding experience at Toyful in Prescott. I received a hackey sack as a gift, and after using it just one time on grass with a group of older adults, it developed an issue. It definitely wasn't abused, but I also wasn't expecting anything since it had been a gift. I brought it into the store simply to show them what had happened and even told them I wasn't there to return it. Without any hesitation, they picked up the entire display of hackey sacks, told me to choose whichever one I wanted, and replaced it with a smile. That kind of customer service is becoming harder and harder to find. They treated me with kindness, trusted what I told them, and made the whole experience incredibly easy. If you're looking for a locally owned toy store that truly stands behind what they sell and genuinely cares about their customers, I can't recommend Toyful highly enough. This shop is so special. Its incredibly size has unique handmade toys, some really beautiful dolls, games, kites,puzzles, dress up... literally s treasure trove. We went in at least 4 times and im still not confident we saw everything each little niche had to offer. The prices matched the quality and we will be back. read more

We used to own two toy stores so we totally "get" newbies... however, this one surprised us. It seemed much more well established than it was! They had several great brands and a nice focus on STEAM toys and games. And... they have a TREE. Such a fun "surprise" when you enter the bigger main room and see that tree. We used to have 10 life-sized dinosaurs in our STEAM store, so we totally get the work that went into that amazing tree. Such a fun magical centerpiece that sets this store apart from many others! We picked up a couple of things for hubs' grand kiddos... and I admit, ourselves... and the prices were all in line with what you'd expect, no gouging happening there. Definitely a magical place we'll stop at next time we're in the area - I hope they do really well there! read more

What a wonderful toy store, they are pretty new. It's right by the Perrigine Bookstore. And close to Murphy's on scenic and historic Cortez street. They have a brilliant selection of unique toys. Great selection of board games, puzzles, intellectual curiosity for infants and children. This isn't the Toys R' Us stuff, I'm very impressed indeed. Bought a couple jigsaw puzzles and a lava lamp for the puzzle room. Simply delightful, most delightful, indeed. I'll get some pix next time, but the first reviewer did a bunch of nice ones. What a beautiful store! I drive down Cortez Street all the time but I never really pay attention to what's on this road. I'm glad I did this time, my son and I parked by Raven Cafe and walked over to Toyful to check it out. What a beautiful store inside, nicely decorated and I was actually surprised, I thought the prices would be astronomical but they weren't that bad, compared to what would normally be more $$$ downtown. I wanted to support them so I let my son pick a plushy shark and I purchased a homemade soap bar, "Constellation" which smelled so good. Not bad, if you want to take a stroll down to the bookstore and stop by Toyful and let your kid pick out a toy. I met the hubby, he was a nice guy, and great service. They have this neat "old fashioned" birthday book for kids to sign their name and put their birthday under their month and they can come in for a 20% bday discount on their bday. The guy also said they do magic shows, I will have to check it out with my son. Will be coming back! read more

the store has a great selection, however the owner was rude! I was talking to her and she just walked away from me. in a small town you can't be rude to customers. Also the scent they had in the store was way too strong. There are a lot if people that have allergies. read more

Went to Toyful on Saturday, what a great store. Was very impressed with the options, they had everything I needed for a birthday and Christmas too for my grandson. Great variety, friendly, and helpful local owners. From vintage toys that we played with in the 60s, 70s and 80s, to great learning toys. Don't buy your Christmas toys for kids from the big box stores or Amazon until you check it out. I guarantee you'll buy something from this store that's fun, something they can learn from and that's worth buying too. What an amazing store. Pure magic. Stumbled upon Toyful while visiting family in Prescott and what an treasure. It's so colorful and bright you can't help but feel happy the moment you walk through the door. The owner Brad was so kind and helpful, he was able to recommend some great toys for my 3 year old nephew. They have toys and treasures for kids of all ages 0-99.
