A great little eclectic cafe with wonderful baked goods, smoothies and coffee. Service is excellent if a little on the casual side. We would probably be regulars if it weren't for the simply terrible acoustics in the dining area. The tin ceiling reflects sound so that conversation becomes muddled and of course people talk louder as a consequence. The noise of drink, etc. preparation behind the counter does not help. Before you get the impression that I am being overly critical, I have hearing loss and if the sound bothered me, I cannot imagine what a person with normal hearing must go through. Some sort of sound dampening on the ceiling would probably address this issue. We REALLY want to support this local business, but I can't see us going back until the weather allows outside seating. P.S. The goats are really cute and worth stopping in for no other reason than to visit with them.

This place has some really nice folks. I stayed with friends at the Fairfield Glade resort for the week. Came here after hearing about the Goats! What we found was how nice the owners are. We came almost daily to either buy hand made soap, coffee or a sandwich. Their grandkids often are running around telling people about their goats and doing drawings for free. This place is amazing and the level of service is really high. Anyone in the area or staying at the resort should stop in. Oh and on Wednesdays they have a farmers market out front! Amazing place.

They are building something here that can be very special! I pray that they continue to express their creativity, values and joy in a manner that uplifts and edifies all who take part. I cannot speak to the quality of the food since I did not partake. It did look fresh and well done. The Mocha I had was pleasant but not spectacular. However, anything is made to be spectacular if you partake whilst observing the impish nature of the wonders that are the GOATS!!!! Take a friend, relax, pontificate and engage strangers because all who are there will be more than willing to.

G.O.A.T. Is great little coffee place and shop on Peavine. My sister and I stopped there for a latte. We got to see the goats, who are adorable. The shop features their products as well as local artisans. Great addition to the Crossville area.

Very good coffee. The couple was so warm & hospitable. Neat-o products in the shop too. Can't recommend enough.

We loved everything about Copper Chicks. Amazing breads and pastries, amazing chai and matcha. We loved shopping for fresh soaps and detergents. The room spray is heavenly. And my kids loved watching the goats play outside!!

Best sandwich I've ever eaten. They make their own bread. The service was excellent and the animals were perfect. Olivia took the time to go outside with us to introduce my granddaughter to some of the pets. Everything about this visit was great.

Garlic and rosemary herb sourdough with turkey, bacon, cheddar cheese and mayo with a iced matcha with pistachio and white chocolate syrup.

Super fresh made bread ,delicious and healthy! The barista was super accommodating and helpful in a first timers choosing of a drink. It's a smaller scale place to sit down but super convenient if you want to have a seat and enjoy a drink or meal or can just grab and go if in a hurry! Will be visiting again!

The gal at the register was super friendly as was everyone we interacted with. I ordered the breakfast Panini and a chai latte and a blueberry muffin. The latte was pretty standard and good. Muffin actually tasted store bought but wow that breakfast sandwich knocked it out out of the park. The rosemary Parmesan butter really leveled it up. The homemade sauce did too. Nice thick bacon. Wish I lived closer! Hubby ordered the biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon and a white cho mocha. Coffee was good and bacon was perfect. I think they came in orders of three or five people and he ordered three. Biscuits and gravy were nothing to rave about. He actually said one of the biscuits was quite tough and hard to eat. Gravy was basic and a little on the bland side. Overall, very nice place and would definitely stop there again.

The Custard Cabin offers fine quality desserts that should please anyone. Certainly the quality that you receive comes at a cost- there is no getting around it. Food (and dessert especially) products can either be cheap or good- you generally can only pick one. If you are price sensitive, there are other lower quality options available elsewhere. Kids generally don't know the difference and some times don't finish what they are given- so I can understand why parents might be price sensitive. Be forewarned if your offspring are as described. Having said that, if you are an adult with a reasonably refined taste for frozen desserts, you'll understand where that extra money spent at Custard Cabin went. It is true that they generally have 1-2 "flavors of the day" plus the standby vanilla and chocolate, but they have frozen pints and quarts usually in many flavors to go. You may want to consider the frozen pint/quart option if the flavor of the day just doesn't do it for you. Sometimes they run out of vanilla and/or chocolate close to closing time. You may want to call ahead if your heart is set on the old standbys.

I always wonder how long the line will be, but I was able to get in and out quickly both times I stopped this weekend. I primarily came for the reduced gas prices, clean restrooms, and great snacks, but the friendly staff are always a bonus. This trip I fell in love with the Cherry Maple Beef Jerky as it's sweet and savory without being overly sweet, and the texture isn't too tough. I also really enjoyed the peach tea! A road trip stop somehow turns into a shopping expedition. We stopped at the Crossville location on our way to Nashville and accomplished the essentials: Glazed pecans. Barbecue. A case of water. Road snacks we probably didn't need but somehow couldn't live without. Mission accomplished. Now, compared to some of the giant Buc-ee's locations, this one feels a little smaller. It's still enormous by normal gas station standards, but in the Buc-ee's universe, it's more of a midsize SUV than a monster truck. One disappointment was that the fried chicken and burritos weren't being served during our visit. That's like showing up to a baseball game and finding out the home team has the day off. Still, it's hard to be too critical. The store was clean. The selection was huge. The bathrooms were spotless, as expected. And somehow I walked in for gas and left with enough snacks to survive a minor natural disaster. That's the Buc-ee's experience. Four stars. Because even a smaller Buc-ee's is still better than about 99% of the gas stations you'll find on the road.
