What a fun stop as we travelled from Knoxville to Nashville. We loved seeing the baby goats. The store is packed full of great items. Many of them are made on site. The employees were all very welcoming and helpful. The café was very busy and appeared to have a lot of regulars. We had the drip coffee and it was delicious and we purchased a blueberry sourdough muffin that looked gorgeous but we haven't had a chance to try it as yet. This is a new spot for us and such an amazing cafe! We absolutely loved their atmosphere as well as values. It started as a goat soap shop and now is expanded to have lots of amazing items as well as drinks, baked goods and sourdough sandwiches. Their bread is wonderfully crusty and yet soft, the perfect pairing for a sandwich! We tried a few things and settled on their sandwiches and scones as being our favorites. We also were fortunate to buy some sourdough to take home. The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is chill and yet refined. We went often and enjoyed seeing the goats and interacting with them a bit. It is a great spot for a coffee, baked good or food plus some soaps and other items. Definitely worth a stop! read more

A great little eclectic cafe with wonderful baked goods, smoothies and coffee. Service is excellent if a little on the casual side. We would probably be regulars if it weren't for the simply terrible acoustics in the dining area. The tin ceiling reflects sound so that conversation becomes muddled and of course people talk louder as a consequence. The noise of drink, etc. preparation behind the counter does not help. Before you get the impression that I am being overly critical, I have hearing loss and if the sound bothered me, I cannot imagine what a person with normal hearing must go through. Some sort of sound dampening on the ceiling would probably address this issue. We REALLY want to support this local business, but I can't see us going back until the weather allows outside seating. P.S. The goats are really cute and worth stopping in for no other reason than to visit with them. read more

This place has some really nice folks. I stayed with friends at the Fairfield Glade resort for the week. Came here after hearing about the Goats! What we found was how nice the owners are. We came almost daily to either buy hand made soap, coffee or a sandwich. Their grandkids often are running around telling people about their goats and doing drawings for free. This place is amazing and the level of service is really high. Anyone in the area or staying at the resort should stop in. Oh and on Wednesdays they have a farmers market out front! They are building something here that can be very special! I pray that they continue to express their creativity, values and joy in a manner that uplifts and edifies all who take part. I cannot speak to the quality of the food since I did not partake. It did look fresh and well done. The Mocha I had was pleasant but not spectacular. However, anything is made to be spectacular if you partake whilst observing the impish nature of the wonders that are the GOATS!!!! This is a must stop for travelers and worth the trip from all points around East and Middle Tennessee. The food is amazing, fresh and delicious. Fresh made pastries, fresh made sandwiches and fresh made everything else!! Cool shirts, too!! We stopped because we saw a sign on the freeway saying the G.O.A.T. Cafe. I turned to wife and said "That is a bold statement." When we arrived we were welcomed as family and friends. Turns out G.O.A.T. has a whole other meaning than what I was thinking. When we walked in we knew there was something special about the place. The atmosphere, and the young lady, niece of the owner, was super helpful and exceedingly nice. Do yourself a favor and get over there right away. Don't forget to look at all the varieties of goats round back. Can't make goat milk soap without goats!! Can't make delicious food without a loving Spirit, a Guiding hand and Light bright enough to fill everyone that comes near. This place has those three elements by the bucket load. read more

What a great find in the area! Lovely soaps and products. I purchased the shampoo and conditioner "bars" along with some fabulous lip balm, loose leaf tea, and flavored almonds. I have not eaten at the café portion yet but plan on doing that soon! You can tell that they have put a lot of thought and love into their business! So glad we discovered this place! The sandwiches and coffee were fantastic, especially the sourdough which is made daily by the owner. The little store has some amazing things - varieties of balsamic, maple syrups, and soap made from their goats. The dark roast soap smelled amazing! I have been going to this coffee shop since I relocated here from Georgia. The food is delicious and the staff are friendly and well trained. They fresh bake all their pastries daily and their sourdough bread is the best. On the other side of the store they have a soapery shop. The products are healthy and very well made. I have purchased their goat soap, laundry detergent, cleaning products and wax melts. They have a variety of great products. Sonia and Josh, the owners, are very friendly and remembered me after only being there once. Another thing I absolutely love is being able to sit outside and observe their goats. At times Josh will come and explain interesting facts about the goats and how they use their milk in their products. They also have a farmers market on Wednesday mornings where you can go and buy produce from local farmers. I highly recommend this hidden jewel. read more

The shop is really nice, but the service in the cafe has a lot to be desired. We were in there twice while visiting the area and disappointed both times. We had a group of four the first time and we were served at such long intervals that the first person was served and finished eating long before the fourth had her food brought out. The second visit was just two people and my food was brought out first and after a 35 min wait for my husbands meal, they said they lost his order entirely. No apology, no "can we refill your coffee at no charge"... nothing. While he was eating, another couple was complaining of the very same thing, lost order. They also charge for cups of water. No refills on coffee....even drip. read more
