On a whim, I took a scenic road trip from my home in Surprise, through Congress, Hillside and had lunch in Bagdad. I was inclined to eat at a very popular diner in the Main Street, but chose CCB&G instead. It was up the road a little more than a mile but we'll worth avoiding the overcrowded diner At CCB&G, the dining room was closed but they were serving in the bar area. The bar was relatively quiet, despite having 2 tv's with sports channels on. A bartender and one server were in duty. (Both very pretty women BTW) The bartender was quick to take my order (only a root beer) & called over the waitress. The menu had a nice selection of typical sandwiches and burgers so I asked which sandwich was popular. She recommended the turkey melt, so I rolled the dice, taking her suggestion. Wow! What a great sandwich. Served on large, grilled Texas toast, it oozed with hot cheese and turkey. Yum. It also came with a choice of shoestring or seasoned fries. I chose the seasoned which were definitively right out of the fryer, piping hot and crispy, just how I like them. The waitress was highly attentive, checking back with me several times to see if I needed anything else or wanted a dessert. Being the aged chauvinist I am, I replied; "Dessert (?) heavens no. Just seeing you 2 pretty girls is plenty dessert for me." She chuckled and talked about my road trip and her background as a local Bagdagian. In all, my experience was great and will definitely be back on a future road trip. I don't know what the local diner is like, but they were now closed when I drove out of town, shortly after 3pm on a Saturday afternoon. So, IMO, that's another reason to to to Copper Country Bar & Grill. read more

Amazing!!! I had the best wings I have had in years. I did the naked wings with habanero mango sauce the texture and crispness of the wings were perfect. The atmosphere was cool and clean with a rustic vibe I really enjoyed. I also had the mushroom burger which was amazing as well. I will certainly make this a stop during my travels. Good luck local restaurants competing with these guys..Also had the 8oz Angus Sirloin which was a great choice the flavor was spot on and cooked just like my nephew ordered it. read more

A beautiful ride there on the motorcycle from Prescott Valley. About 2hours with a few stops for pictures. Stopped on a Friday 1:30 pm. Restaurant was mostly empty. A separate take out window was quite busy. Lunch and a brew. Philly cheesesteak on a hoagie roll was big enough to split for a light lunch with a serving of fries. All fresh, hot and on the table in about 15 minutes. Prompt, friendly service and the place was clean and so were the bathrooms. read more

Club Sandwich - very good two pieces of Texas toast which I hadnt seen before but enjoyed it Husband and I split with and had shoestring fries Deep fried green beans. So good Philly cheese steak- said it wasn't topped with Chex wiz but another soft cheese. He ate the whole thing. Another one had it too and said it was good Nachos- very good Burger plain with steak fries. Quesadilla with bbq sauce, cheese and steak. 6 large pieces too much for Little Debbie to eat but she loved it and took home the leftovers. Spicy Southwest chicken salad - salad was good and lots of it but she didn't care for the dressing that came with it so she got ranch instead. We went for a drive to Bagdad and came here after stopping at another restaurant that literally had 4 people in it and they wouldn't serve us because we didn't have a reservation!!?? So glad we did, everyone was so nice and the food was delicious. I bet they get really busy at night. read more

There are only 3 options to eat out in Bagdad and this is easily 3rd on the list. Cauliflower pizza crust is always burnt. The one time it wasn't though, The Miners Special was good. Weve been a couple times when they've been out of items on the menu such as wings or other appetizer options. Steak was overcooked and not to the specifications that were asked. The rest of the food we've ordered is decent but compared to the diner in town is definitely sub par. The service is absolutely horrible. Weve never been there when there were more than 4 tables but for some reason you have to ask multiple times to get your glass refilled, whether it's water or iced tea or even a beer, or have had to wait for silverware while staring at our plate of food that was delivered. Dont go with a party of more than 6 or you'll have to pay gratuity to servers that definitely don't earn it. TIPS mean "To Insure Proper Service" but the ladies here just think they are entitled to it while they chat in the back or something because they are definitely not attentive to their customers. *edited in response to owner. I do believe you have me confused with someone else. I have never met you personally and therefore have never had a sit down with you to explain anything to me. My husband does not drink beer nor have I ever left just a $5 tip. It's likely your staff has blamed their lack of service on rude customers so they don't get chastised or fired instead of taking accountability and trying to do better. I did send you an email about my experience with your staff though that was completely ignored. Seems your service is less than exemplary in all aspects of your business. A few of us rode up from Surprise for lunch and a day ride. Never been before so no expectations except the previous reviews. Location in 1.5 miles off the main street in town so unless your looking for the place you could miss it. They said there's a sigh on the main street but I did not see it. BUT I'm on. Harley so sign reading not a safety priority. Now to the food and service. Easy, A+ Bell was our waitress and did a perfect job. The burgers we're very good and my grilled chicken sandwich was cooked to perfection. I actually joked that the size of the chicken, are you sure it's not a turkey? Beer cold, nice place and the owner stopped by and we got the history of the place. Very nice lady, yes she's spoken for so sorry guys. A-OK! This is the only steakhouse in town. With a party room, decent sized restaurant area and a large bar area with pool tables and a dance floor, this place could satisfy almost any restaurant need you have! Great happy hour prices in the bar ($2 beers) and affordable meals make the nicest restaurant in town still pretty affordable! read more

The service is so terrible that it ruins the entire dining experience. All you can eat plates..... Waitress never asked if we wanted more. Never refill coffee. The food was ok, not great, but ok. The service was terrible. We had 3 kids under the age of 8 and only one was brought a kid's cup. We were never asked if we wanted refills. Took a random drive with an old friend, neither of us had been to the mining town of Bagdad, AZ. First off a beautiful drive in and out on a well maintained 2- lane, winding road. That was worth the drive. We arrived in Bagdad and headed to the Copper Country Bar & Grill! Nice place. You walk in there is a to go window straight ahead, nice clean dining room to the right, bathrooms to the left then continue into the large country bar, pool tables, a long bar, stage, more tables, outside patio, mule deer mounts, my kinda place! Friendly staff, good cold beer. We had more driving and more places down the road so we each ordered a nice cold beer, I got a Four Peaks Kiltlifter and my friend got an 805. We just wanted a quick snack so we got jalapeño poppers and fried zucchini. Now I am pretty sure these breaded treats came from a frozen bag so I judge if there's old oil in the frier. These were good! I walked around the large bar and enjoyed the epic views from the patio. Bagdad is worth the afternoon drive- a long but excellent drive. This restaurant is located in a tiny mining town in rural AZ. If you are ever in the neighborhood, and you probably won't be, this is a good place to go. They feed hungry miners and other people visiting the mine. Friendly service, southern style. read more

Whenever you come to this place you have to come HUNGRY! to make your visit worthy of the time and money spent. The Circle Bar Steakhouse is one of 2 restaurants located in the small mining town of Bagdad, AZ. I visited Circle Bar for lunch and had their Chicken Caesar Salad. I thought it was good and exceeded my original expectations of this restaurant. They also offer a variety of Mexican food and your typical bar food....burgers and chicken wings. Service is slow. The food is hit or miss when you get a pizza there it's burnt next time it is not done. I went there a couple days ago to try to order pizza and they said they couldn't make me one because they were out of dough. Stopped at this place while we were out exploring, and was pleasantly surprised. We ordered a double patty Mac Daddy (burger with homemade mac & cheese) and was taken back at the large size of each patty -- many times meat patties in a burger are so thin that a double order patty is preferred to give a good mouthful of beef, & then we like to split a double burger with a side order. This Mac Daddy was served so plump & nicely cooked that we knew we would have to just eat the patties separately - no way to get a mouthful around both patties let alone one with the mac and cheese. Tasty & juicy! Best burger we had in a long time - you could tell it was fresh, not a frozen pre-formed burger. Fries were served hot & crisp, slightly seasoned - not soggy at all.
