A terrible practice. I guess with so few options a veterinarian can stop caring about animals and just go for money money money. SO unethical. We are visiting and our pup got sick. They said they had no appointments for days, but could have an "acute appointment" that starts at $350 down up front. They have no appointments, but if you give them lots of money SUDDENLY they can squeeze a pup in. Despicable. You should be ashamed of taking the oath to take care of our animals!! read more

I am not impressed with how this vet is charging their clients. I brought my dog in to get looked at. He needed an antibiotic so I got it. They did not appropriately dispense the antibiotic and shorted me half of the doses. When I called them to tell them I ran out when I should not have they dispensed the other half of the doses (after having me confirm that I was giving the correct dose) but charged me the full amount for the second half. They charged me twice for one cycle of antibiotics when they made the mistake. The employee that checked me out stated "it's because we can't confirm that the full amount wasn't given". If I had been given the full amount on the bottle on the right I would not have run out and needed the other half of the bottle on the left. read more

VERY VERY VERY poor service!! I will NEVER go there again. This is the letter I sent them: Well this past weekend our dog was attacked in our front yard by a neighbors dog. She's not doing well so I called this local vet office and made an appointment for later today (6/11/2014). The vet office called me back about an our later to say that they would NOT see my dog because of the outstanding balance that we had with you. I explained to your office staff that it should have been dismissed in the bankruptcy. There WAS/IS a period that YOUR office had to respond to our debt dispute. Your office did not respond so we were able to continue with our bankruptcy. She said that she know that, but that the manager said they didn't care about that and they wanted the money we owed you, plus todays potential cost. I canceled my appointment. I contacted my bankruptcy lawyer and asked if you were legally able to still collect from us...."Your bankruptcy discharged the prior debt, and the vet cannot take any action against you to collect the debt. However, bankruptcy law does not require a creditor to continue to do business with you after you file bankruptcy. So, while the vet cannot collect the old debt, they can deny new service." Let me FIRST tell you that you will have NO issues with us EVER doing business with you again! And for future reference, what you did was against the bankruptcy laws. If you were not ok with dismissing our charges you should have said so when you were sent the creditor collection notice months ago by our attorney. Unfortunately for our local area your office seems to worry more about the money than the animals....and for that I am very sad for you all. I seriously cannot believe this place is still in business and this guy still has a license. In high school, about 12-13 years ago now, a family pet died under the care of the main doctor of this clinic (I will not mention his name because then the business can have this review taken down, but if you are from the area, I'm sure you know who I am talking about). He apparently couldn't figure out what was wrong with our Bailey, but had no problem continuing to take money from us despite that we were a struggling single parent family. Our dog eventually passed away at 6 years old, and it always seemed like not everything was done to save him. Now, over a decade later, just got news that a close family friends' dog died last night after being refused care from this clinic because they didn't have $300-something dollars up front for testing. My friend's child found the deceased animal on the kitchen floor the next morning. THIS IS NOT OK. I don't care if you are a "business" and clearly are looking to make money. I get that they need money to operate as a previous poster said. My guess is this guy isn't anywhere near homeless because of people not paying their bills, I'm sure he's still living a plenty comfortable doctor's lifestyle. You really have to give options to people who have pets but can't always afford an outrageous vet bill up front at the drop of a hat. You'd rather let a dog die instead of offering a payment plan? Seems pretty ridiculous to me. If I didn't have insurance and walked into a hospital on the verge of death, I'd like to hope they would treat me no matter what. These animals are members of our family and to refuse service to an animal in need is not only heartless and terrible, it should be illegal. Please do yourself a favor and find a more caring and selfless vet to take your pups and kitties to. This guy is just a greedy, sorry excuse for a doctor. read more

Absolutely fantastic! I have been going to them for 4 years. Both my dogs are rescues and one is very timid from abuse. The technicians and doctors are so wonderful with her; so patient and gentle. I'm a graduate student and their prices are very affordable. I agree with Carole's review: they do care immensely for animals, but they are a business. You can't just not pay your bill or make a payment plan. I grew up with dogs and I come from a suburb of a big city and the service at CCVC is great. read more

our 6 month old beagel died under their overnite care, they claimed a blood clot but the doctor had called me directly after the surgery and told me they had him heavily sedated so he would sleep through the nite, this was about 5 pm I do not believe anybody reentered the clinic till 8:30am the next morning and naturally my dog had od'd from the extreme dose of morphine they had given him to keep him sedated so they wouldn't have to watch him over nite! Bring your loved ones here at your own risk!!!! read more

We took our little dog to be spayed by Dr. Barnhart, today. They forgot to open some valve on the anesthesia machine. So that killed my dog. If you love your pet don't go to this horrible vet. read more

I must say I've had very good service, My German Wired Haired Pointer routinely gets into a porcupine on Saturday or Sunday and there's always someone to bail him out and they never make me fill guilty. Terry Kinzel read more

This place is a joke. I have had animals my entire life and this place is by far the worst. And after traveling the world and living in several states with my career this one is BY FAR THE WORST. The staff has been nothing but trouble, telling me I do not know anything about my dog, extremely rude, and just terrible people. We had to have a few teeth pulled in one of our dogs, everything seemed to go fine(except them being rude)... until today. We took her to a vet in Indiana that my Inlaws have used for 30+ years. They told us her dental hygiene is one of the worst they have ever seen. Who ever pulled the teeth did the worst job ever. She now has massive amounts of gum disease where they pulled the teeth, a hole that leads up to her sinus cavity because when they pulled the tooth they did something wrong and never fixed it. We are now forking over $2,000+ on this one new visit because they did such a terrible job. If you love you animal(s) DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. read more
