Dr Cole has been there for me in the past when my cat needed to be put to sleep after an emergency…read moreand I will always appreciate that. However, I recently brought my dog in due to a new onset of seizure activity and he diagnosed him with epilepsy and put him on medication. After failing to improve at all, and getting worse, in the following 30 hours, I found out he didn't have epilepsy - he had some type of unknown infection that was attacking his red blood cells and killing them off, resulting in severe jaundice, high temperature, enlarged spleen, and excessive weakness. My problem with Dr Cole is that I had consulted with 2 other vets during this 30-hour period who were surprised to hear that no labs were drawn, my dog's temperature was not taken, his stomach was never palpated, and his gums were not looked at. In short, Dr Cole never bothered to rule out any other cause for my dog's seizures in spite of the fact that he was well past the age of typically contracting epilepsy. My regular vet said at the end of the 30-hour period when I had my boy put to sleep, that even if we had caught his infection at the beginning, he didn't think it would have changed the outcome because of how fast his condition deteriorated. So in the end, while Dr Cole may not have actually changed the fate of my dog (who can really know for sure), I have an issue with the fact that he didn't fully evaluate and do everything possible for my baby. I won't be going back unless there is no other option.

I mentioned it to another staff who then reported it to Dr. Jandron who in turn took time from his busy schedule to call me and discuss my concern. He was and is always professional, understanding and sympatric to my feelings. I don't understand the negative review. It doesn't cost anywhere near $3,000 for euthanasia services and autopsy's aren't conducted on a cysts. Maybe a biopsy? I am truly sorry for the loss of his dog, but there has to be more to the story than what is posted. NVA has excellent doctors. They keep up with the latest Veterinarian medicine. I hear good things about this office all the time. On a personal level this office has guided me through several off hour emergencies, difficult diagnoses, referrals' to Fox Valley Animal Medical center and more. They work directly with Fox Valley to care for the patient. FVAC is the one that makes the money and a lot of it, yet NVA will perform all follow up care after surgery/treatments have been preformed at Fox Valley. I have very high standards for doctors (Bedside manners). In Veterinary care it's you and your four/two legged family member, which to me is no different than a family medical doctor treating your and your child. For either type of doctors their bedside manner should be the same (caring and professional ) and that's what you get at NVA. I highly recommend this office.

He and all of his crew work hard to keep the practice running smoothly and it is scrupulously clean! He truly is a rarity and is appreciated and loved. (Even our 3 lb Chihuahua, Jelly Bean agrees!)

We had to travel 2 hours to Bayshore for Ruby to receive TPLO surgery, which in the end, required two additional surgeries. It was a long haul of appointments and recovery time, but we are back to normal and it is absolutely because of Dr. Tim's persistence, patience, compassion and skill! Dr. Tim made sure we were taken care of over the course of 6 months between appointments and flexibility of booking and rescheduling those when weather was bad (winter months), answering questions and assisting with issues after hours and on weekends, and even while he was out of town, too. He took care of us like family and we could never repay him for his kindness. Dr. Tim is hands down the best vet we have ever worked with and we'd do it again and again if it were ever needed (and as much as we love Bayshore vet, we hope we don't run into issues where she needs orthopedic surgery again)! If Bayshore were closer, we'd switch to them as our primary vet in a heartbeat. We really hit the jackpot when we met Dr. Tim and we are so glad we landed in the hands of a man who truly, wholeheartedly cares and wants what is best for you and your pet. If you have ever had concerns about who to trust with your fur babies- this is your message to go see Tim. We cannot thank him enough!

I want to preface this review by saying that I worked in petcare for about 5 years before moving back up here. So once one of my cats started getting sick after the move, I was extremely nervous to bring her to a new vet as she is special needs and has a very sensitive system. Needless to say, my standards for pet care are exceptionally high after working in the field for 5 years. Fast forward to now, a year and half after I started bringing my cats here, and I can confidently say this is the best vet practice I have ever been to and have had the pleasure of being a client of. I would NEVER bring my cats anywhere else. Period. This facility and the staff here are so impressive and compassionate and VERY knowledgeable. In my experience of having many pets throughout my life and living in many different places using many different vets, these guys are the best of the best. Dr. Angal is truly a SAINT who puts her pets, clients and staff before herself and you can tell she lives and breathes through this practice. The assistants and receptionists are outstanding. Amanda and Reba are always a joy to see when I come in. Dr Angal and everyone else at AMC is a true god send. One more thing: very reasonable prices compared to elsewhere in the state. These people truly care about your animals. Thank you AMC!
